I became a master at this game on hardest difficulty when I was young. Save at least two arnor mushrooms for Gandalf and hadhod. Use alot of hadhods magic to unlock mountain shield for this battle. Also I loved the part when you're in the balrog pit and your on the other end of the corpse falling down the well as soon as the fellowship gets to Moria. So freaking cool!
I used Arnor shrooms on Hadhod so I could keep spamming Mountain Shield, Endure Flame. And also have Berethor use company resistance.. taunt the Rog with Hadhod, he would be immune to his fire attacks!
Theres so much weight behind every ability. I love this game, even if it starts to show its rushed development towards the end of the game this is still an amazing game.

I would love to have an open world Lord of the Rings game following the events of The Fellowship. Similar to this but if I want to go back to The Shire or other sections I can. Seeing Gandalf and the Balrog fighting on the bridge of Khazadum in game was amazing.
Fun fact: this game had co-op functionality where control of characters were divided up between 2 players where characters 1, 3, and 5 were player one, and player 2 would have characters 2, 4, and 6 with guest characters being used by both players in turns.

Idrial has a few pieces of equipment that, when Gandalf casts enduring shadow she can become immune to pillar of wrath and inferno roar attacks. It's been a long time since I played and I don't remember if it also make immune to the ap drain from those attacks. Hadhod has a buckler and helmet that grants great fire resistance so his enduring flame move will grant him enough resist to be immune to flame sword and whip of fire.

Imagine visiting the Halls of Nargothorand. Imagine playing as Feanor and assailing Thangorodrim whilst being attacked by Ancalgon the Black, and Gothmog, Lord of Balrogs. Imagine being able to visit Tom Bombadil and taking him out of the Shire into the Black Lands. Imagine fighting as Earendil in the sky with the silmaril upon his brow. The Masters of gaming need to make a master game like this.

enduring shadows and Enduring flame make it a cake walk. also equipping the right gear that resist flame and shadow helps a lot.
