It’s not a positive that team Top Gear are keeping quiet about what happened. It’s like something out of a Victorian mill accident.
Richard Hammond talked openly and publicly about what happened to him, and showed us the video footage of his crash.

The important thing is that the Health & Safety Executive has carried out an investigation and written a report. As far as I know, there is no statutory requirement for the report to be published, and in the interim, fuelling tabloid speculation would be counterproductive and likely hurtful to those involved.

So he rolled a Morgan three wheeler with no roll cage and wearing an open face crash helmet (hence the face injuries) it became very clear they had crossed a line in the pursuit of entertainment!! they were trying to make Freddy the new Hammond with the dubious crash history.

Should have finished back in 2015.
Only carried on to attract new viewers.
Getting Paddy Mcguiness to front it you either love
    him or hate him.
He's not a car guy and he's doing to many other
things to appreciate what the shows about.
Never liked the set up with him and Flintoff always
taking the piss out of Chris Harris and he just had to
take it because they were bigger personalities.
    Glad it's finished.

totally agree watched 2 episodes with the last line up & couldn't watch it any more, Paddy just isn't funny Freddy is just another celeb the BBC thought they'd add to try & boost ratings & neither know anything about cars & Chris was just the brunt of their jokes yet he was the only one who knows anything as I have watched some of his videos on UA-cam.

Yeah, they were literally mimicking a league of their own after James Corden went to America and sky had to refresh the shows line up

With real motors eventually going to disappear and all we 'll get is wafty electric tin cans that will all look the same and have the same performance what's the point of a show like top gear. Us petrol heads can only turn to classic motors ! You couldn't pay me enough to take on an electric bumper car !

Hammond nearly died, they showed that and Top Gear became (probably) the most popular programme on the BBC.
Many people think stunt men are brought in for these but it would appear not.
Probably a decision to please women in comfortable shoes or the like.
What is the world coming to?

"Kept it quiet" another BBC cover up. Top gear ended when Clarkson left.

It became a tedious bore with a pile of childish pranks which only passed muster because of Clarkson, but since then utter expensive garbage
