Good on the officer for holding other officers responsible. You could tell he was frustrated he had to do this to an officer but he did all the test properly and didn't let him off. I was also glad the other people he called didn't try to get thier officer out of it, just went about securing the vehicle.

I knew the locking knees trick from Marching Band. In high school, when we prepared for our band day performance, my band director would tell us we'd have to stand perfectly still at attention once we got on the field, and it could last up to a minute or so. He told us never to lock our knees, or we would fall over. This was in the 1980's, and it remained true. Nothing like standing at attention in Sun Devil Football Stadium, facing the western bleachers (where the judges were) in wool uniforms and plastic hats with the Arizona sun peaking over A mountain right into our eyes.

New Mexico seems to be on a tear today. Just finished watching the rust trial with Runkle of the Bailey, where PD and the DA tanked the case and Baldwin walks. And Morrisey might have some painful questions to answer from the NM Bar.

The gibberish the arresting officer is trying to pass as instruction, is just a reminder of how he was treated as a recruit.
    "saythealphabetHthroughR".
    "Excuse Me?"
    "ITOLDYOUWHATTODO,ADDRESSMEASSIR"

Showing good and bad policework in equal measure gives the full picture of how officers should carry themselves.
That in turn prevents people from slipping into a mindset that cops can never be good enough, and therefore it doesn't matter how they behave

It always shocks me when a police officer goes through the field sobriety test. It seems like they would know better. I would definitely refuse the test even though I would be 100% sober. I would do worse than this officer did. I would do the PBT, though, because I would not have a drop of alcohol in me and feel that the breath test would help in my defense.

Being a police officer you would think not to do the FST

As I have said a ton of times in my comments. They almost never do this test right anymore. For one they are on a busy highway witch is distracting and what you said. They do this because very few people fight their charges. I know the manual cover to cover and I'm not a lawyer or a cop.

Maybe it’s just my bias but I feel like they do it very wrong for cops and get it just right for regular citizens. They get the good guy points for doing this to a fellow cop but are secretly doing them a favor because lawyers can poke some holes in the process and get the case thrown out

The number/alphabet test should/could be thrown out if it turns out that English is his second language.

Could people get new trials now, if that officer handled any evidence in their case?
He hasn't tagged it so doubt he bagged it.
Regardless of the DUI case, he should be arrested for evidence tampering

Question: how do you guys like to receive video recommendations? I have been hoping you would react to the full video of a school bus driver in Ohio getting a DUI for tylenol!

    Maybe I'm under false impression
But I trust state troopers more than general police.
Although they make me sweat so much more

27:56 Dude, this arresting cop is barely speaking English to me. If he was saying this to me I would be staring at him like he was speaking Latin. I’m totally sober and I can’t understand anything he is saying

Another banger video but the weird AI thumbnails gotta go - if you put some actual content from the video into the thumbnail it will get more views!
If you look at the channel sorted by views you can see the videos with the full AI/stock image thumbnails do much worse numbers

Why wasn’t he handcuffed right after he determined he failed ? 27:11

handcuffs are for the protection of the officer based on how well behaved the other officer was being, as well as him being an officerade the arreating officer feel safe to have him uncuffed.
ive seen plenty of drunk belligerent officera cuffed

I've seen this trooper on many bodycam videos. I recognize his speech impediment. And he talks a mile a minute, which is very annoying.
