Because he was talking to them like a actual, quality DAD and they've never had that, so they went to defensive, confused, and angry.
It's honestly natural, they've never had anything close to compare it towards.

I refuse to refer to over 18 college students as 'kids'. I know it's probably semantics, but it's giving them a pass for child-like behaviour.

Understanding you are a victim does not mean that you have to be defeated you have no control over what happened in the past but you can overcome the obstacles although you still are a victim of the mistreatment from the system. I will not allow anyone to feel that I am inferior because God didn't make me that way but I also understand I live in the world of evil and have to navigate through it. The right for me to benefit from my previous generations was systematically aborted however thanks too the people before me who fought for it to get to this point my children are evil 2 inherit what I have accumulated. People have to understand more than money was taken from them, to act like it didn't exist it's crazy. I understand God will punish those for their deeds. I understand you are a victim is understanding what was taken from you and what you were deprived of, now you have direction and understand how to move forward. The word of God we'll get you through.

You can either embrace it, or you can bow your head and be a sheep and let daddy government "take care" of you. Except they don't, and then you're beholden to them for everything you have. Doesn't sound like a good way to live to me. I'd rather have the choice to live my life the way I want to.

She willingly accepted her parents money that she believes was ill gotten. She could renounce their money if she truly believes in white privilege and start from scratch for herself, and if that’s the case she shouldn’t be at that school using mommy and daddy’s white privilege money. She should do it ALL ON HER OWN while allowing POC in front of her every step of the way… because she would get a job just based on her skin color. Maybe she should nanny for a family of color or something?

She hadn’t renounced her parents money though. She used her “ privilege “ so she can go to school. She’s typical of her type. We grew up with very little and lost our home when I was a child. I worked construction because no one would hire me for the three years I was in probation because of the felony. I worked that construction job for 10 years then went on my own and now have several employees. Vince is 100% right! Work hard and don’t let no one mentally hold you down! Humans are not wired to live in multiracial societies. Human nature is in group preference and self segregation. That’s why there are separate countries.
This diversity is a strength nonsense started around 1950 in Western White European countries. Now in less than75 years all but a handful have lost their identity, culture and heritage and have become very dangerous.
The Japanese are arguably one of the most racist people on the planet yet they don’t have a racism problem in their country because they are homogenous.

Someone who works hard and does well and makes a fortune for themselves isn't privilege, it's hard work and reaping the rewards of your hard work, it has nothing to do with your skin color. And if your parents or grandparents had amassed wealth through hard work and they pass some of it along to you, that's not privilege, that's called an inheritance. If you have parents or grandparents that that didn't leave you an inheritance, it isn't a matter of privilege, either they had some and didn't feel like leaving you any of their hard earned wealth or they didn't have any to leave you. It's not a matter of privilege.

I’m in my 70’s, white and female. Not once, in my entire life have I had privilege. NOT ONCE. i was left a single mother after my husband passed. I raised my children on my own with no help from the government or my family. I went to college, but had to drop out because I just couldn’t afford college and only working one full -time job. We ate French toast a lot. Sometimes I went to bed hungry just so my kids would have enough dinner. It was hard. I, NOR MY KIDS, EVER HAD “PRIVILEGE”! Makes me sick. And I didn’t even mention the poverty that I myself grew up in.

When they say things like "I worked my ass off to get here" that only proves the point that there is no systemic or institutional racism holding them back. Everyone works their ass off to get where they want to be.

    This is an AMAZING video!!!
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said it best, "Judge me by the size of my heart and strength of my character." Those things know no race, religion or creed. Ever since I was a little red haired, green eyed, fair skinned freckled girl in Atlanta, GA where I was born in 1966, I was raised and taught to see people. In fact, tied at #1 of my all time favorite songs are Everyday People by Sly and the Family Stone (releases in 1969) and Let It Be by The Beatles.I've known the lyrics to the former, not the latter, since the age of 4.
"I am no better, neither are you. We are the same whatever we do; I AM EVERYDAY PEOPLE!" ❤
