What bothers me most is the fact that Gaijin still doesn't want to adapt the maps to the modern weapon systems. I'm not just talking about the greater distances that new weapon systems bring with them, but that multi-layered air defense should finally be introduced.
Gaijin is focused on things that bring them money ... and that means new vehicles, and new players that didn't have enough yet and can still spend lots of money. As they expand the tech tree, the incentive of buying premiums is higher at new players, the starter pack concept
This is actually the reason why im leaved war thunder as player (but not as outside spectator). We bombed the same red bases in 2013 with first props, we bombed the same bases in 2018 on phantom, and we still bombing the same bases on f-15e or su-24/34. And this is happening across the all game - the game only gets larger in terms of venicle progression and required time to try all things, but never in the actual gameplay depth and overall quality.
I have roughly 700 hours as recorded by steam, all this in air rb, and have so far unlocked ~11% of all aircraft. Including 2 premiums. Warthunder has the worst progression system by miles. I can't play soviet jets, or french jets or swedish jets, or british jets. From all games I've played, I have spent the most money on warthunder and can happily enjoy 11% of ⅓ of the gamemodes. Ridiculous!
Please abuse and use this guys, force gaijin to take a look at the maps and game-modes and make changes instead of always pushing the envelope of vehicles and munitions.

The major part of the playerbase is more concerned with their fucking fancy vehicles than actual playable missions and maps. Gaijin already have 2000s mbts play on second world war maps, would be expected they just add the bullshit stealth and beyong fourth gen planes without touching the "map situation".
I just simply have too much in game time... after 14k hours, I tried to leave, but I can't... there's always a new vehicle what I really want to see for a while, and the grind starting again... Do I enjoy it? Absoltely NO, the whole gameplay is bs.. GSB or ASB can give me some enjoyable gameplay, but ARB or GRB feels like some kinda joke.. when I killed by a 4th Gen jet, in 1945's Berlin.😢
For a day.. then gaijin will once again completely neuter all rewards for the game mode… again. Or they’ll go nuclear and remove sim battles from contributing to event grinds all together. Then I riot.

Maps need correction for top tier ASAP. It is quite insane that at 13.7 we often spawn in maps like afghanistan, where both teams are merely 30 km away from each other, right after takeoff and a little climb.
Literally, the map in the video is Sinai, which is 131km x 131km I believe, and it is the biggest size in War Thunder. Imagine if that was this easy to do in the biggest map then it is easier in the smaller ones.
Size of the maps didn't changed anything. They made them bigger, but now you are just flying on the deck bit longer untill you reach furball. Game modes needs to be redesigned completely. But they don't need to do it. There is no competition, whales are hooked and addicted so they will fund this until the very end. I am quite sure game modes will stay like this for minimum at least 5 years. And then 5years again if the game is still alive.

Except, at least 70% of every map is empty and people rarely ever fly there unless they are running away from someone, adding more empty space didn't change that. Maybe if they spread out all the ground targets and bases, ground pounders would spread out, luring the less confident fighters towards them, which would lure everyone else over as well, making the maps actually feel bigger and not just inflated with empty space. Then, they could also add an additional pair of airfields to spread people out even more and suddenly many of the issues with the current 16v16 matches would get better. But as you already said, there's not much incentive for Gaijin to do that.

For the Maps vs Weapons Capabilities it started with Pantsir S1, I don't mind adding Pantsir S1 anymore, in fact since pilots got reworked RWRs. But I do mind "Return To The Battlefield" inside the range of Pantsir S1 or any SPAA, like in Flanders & Ardennes. I'm not saying Grom-E1 is OP, I'm saying it is too much for the current size of air maps, the air maps should be 800km x 800km in 13.7BR, not 131km x 131km.
not to mention befoew qw got good sams we had TV guided bombs and missiles that would lock and fire from 20km+ away effectively making it impossible to kill some jets in 10.0+ until they brought in better spaa.
There's plenty of BS additions that make no sense in the context of the exisitng game modes we've had LITERALLY SINCE THE GAME FIRST LAUNCHED. At this point I've just given up hope that we'll see any new ones, ever. I firmly believe that the lack of new game modes is the single biggest problem with the game and I'd rather see an update with 0 new vehicles or maps and just 1 new game mode than the current trend the Snail follows.
Triple mavs with missiles shouldn't be possible as the fins clip/collide on launch. It's apparently already been reported. But 2 65Gs + 5 JDAMs + 4 AMRAAMs should still be possible. I might however sneak in some SDBs to hide a maverick/JDAM in between against Pantsirs, idk if it will work.

Good in theory, but in a real match friendlies would've destroyed all bases 4-5 minutes into the match, since bases don't respawn in the exact same spot the chance of success here is very low. Plus it takes 4-6 Groms (depending on type) to kill 1 base, not very efficient when regular bombs can yield up to 3 bases.
you can J out and rearm your plane on airfield and if you launch them at only a 45 degrees incline they will probably get there faster, so you can bomb all bases without ever leaving the airfield area , maybe your teammates makes it before your bombs, maybe they get shot down, you can switch to actual missiles after if the match isn't already over. The only way you don't get anything is if your team just win everything very fast, but that wouldn't change your score much in those situations
Launch then immediately leave gets you little reward. Since the algorithm of reward is roughly: time alive * activity percentage * other factors. If you only spend 1/10 the time in game, then only 1/10 the rewards. Except kill rewards which doesn't get affected by time alive and activity. This does look scary but it doesn't give you free grind. The optimal way to grind with Grom is fire them at one base, land, fire at another base (you need ~800 pts to get full reward, ie, high activity percentage), then stall the game as long as possible.

Since most players who pays the game those who had a tiresome day working/studying and only want to have some quick action and dopamine. A game only has ~2 minutes to make impression for players to buy in. AFK climb for 10 minutes just to see an enemy was proven killing the game back in 2014-2018 where player count was in constant decline.

Grom-1 is a nice addition but its not completely overpower. We all thought JDAMs were broken for Ground RB. They're not. Still a GPS guided munition. Just move around.. Also for those AA players who don't know, IRST can detect and shoot the missiles / bombs out of the sky. Learn to adapt to the weaponry. Also keep in mind, the SP cost of carrying these munitions. The probability of a lone su34 cruising around the AO without any form of resistance is low. Yes, its capibilities are great but let's be honest. We see alot of people spawn a2a / Anti CAS and eliminate the threat. CAS players are learning to adapt. HOWEVER, I think Gaijin should look into increasing the air combat zones. 13KM air spawn is insane for both parties.
hey jordan, whats your thoughts on the brimstones getting a simple IR or TV seekerhead so they wouldnt have the ARH capabilites, but at the saem time wouldnt be completely and utterly useless with the laser guidance needing to constantly follow a single target for 30 seconds considering the speed of the brimstones
@@Skinny6539 It's total BS how Gaijin is implementing them. They could have easily gasve them an IR / TV seeker and it would've been balanced. Most META AA can literally shoot them out of the sky with radar / IRST. The Tornadoes aren't completely terrible in game BUT compared to everything else (f16C, SM3, etc) they're lacking. I hope Gaijin really rethink this decision. Gaijin seems to forget how they added the KH38.

they are still GPS guided for air rb it wont matter that much going closer and then releasing napalm / other faster guided munitions will be better there is no gurantee the base is going to be there when the grom arrives

another way of using it is that you can drop them and then rearm with ait to air missles and play and anti air role while they are traveling alongside the battlefield
I totally agree with the closing comments of your video. War Thunder is not ready for these kind of weapons. In DCS we fly on huge ass maps, and glide bombs/cruise missiles are insane stand-off weapons used as pre-emtpive attack, that is usually synchronized with other units. War Thunder needs badly some new game mode that will allow combined arms to shine. Also the random spawn of SPAA is annyoing in RB. It should be not be the case in potential Combined Arms game mode. Anyway, its hard for me to imagine the Su-34 on RB, where the battlefield is compressed severely for ground units.

A6E Tram a few updates ago get AGM123 skipper where they can shoot from 8km a laser guided bomb this was fun but this is like some extreme bias version of this
@@mmneaapro596 Grom1 is ALSO a guided bomb technically. Both are rocket assisted/boosted guided bombs. The only differences are that grom1 is GPS guided and is a glide bomb instead of a normal one.

As a reminder, even before the pantsir was added, most top tier SPAA like the Roland, Flakrad, Tunguska, etc could snipe jets as soon as they spawned in. It took gaijin years to move the spawn point back out of range.. only to add the pantsir shortly afterwards. Gaijin has never liked doing anything but the bare minimum, they always focus on new vehicles and maps and gimmicks, and rarely do they ever bother to address the issues these additions cause.
Not dumb at all, and you might be right, the situation could be different in live battles and I'm only over reacting. However, it still feels abnormal and wrong to be able to spam missiles at bases one min after take off then land and repeat. Maps are small for 13.7BR, that was the main point of the video.

Whelp air simulator battles got a whole lot easier. We don't even need to see the bases just toss cruise missiles from across the map and repeat. Nice one gaijin.
is it actually faster than a classic bombing run with dumb bombs? Can you outrun everyone going for the base the classic way with this? Or is there some aircraft that can still be faster and therefore "balance" this vertical launch ? Please forgive any mistakes, English is not my first language.
Simply the point of this video is we need bigger maps before adding 120km missiles, the biggest map in the game is 131km. If the base at the middle of the map it might faster with classic bombing run but it is riskier, it is safer to attack the base in mid map literally from your airfield, one min after takeoff while being inside the coverage of friendly air defenses. It doesn't feel right, simple like that.
I think you are right hunter when you say that this game is not ready for this type of weapons they are introducing. But I been seen a trend That they are heavily investing into SIM mode. I'm not against it my friend, not against adding new stuff at all, and I will be the happiest man on earth if they enhanced sim mode and invested more in it, but it is wrong to add 120km missile or 100km bomb and the biggest map in the entire game is 131km x 131km, 13.7BR air maps should be 500km x 500km at the very least now. I have been saying this for a while now: current War Thunder needs a whole new revamp of air, ground,heli, and naval modes along with new modes that go along with them, not including the changes to the current systems you can use in battle for a lot of them especially the ceiling height and many more systems for these new game modes
Finally, Gaijin adds something fun to use, and then people complain so much that it gets removed. The missile was slower than other jets, they would have reached the base much faster. The Su-34 is already nerfed, now they make it even worse, it's so annoying. It should be able to lock multiple targets at once with its radar and not appear on RWR thanks to PESA. And it also has a rear facing radar as a MAW system that also isn't added. They should finally fix their game and not remove fun things.
I'm not against the missile, I'm against the maps and modes, scenarios need to be bigger. My message was not removing the missile, it was reworking maps and modes. But Gaijin went for the easy solution I guess, remove the missile. Brimstone got nerfed too, its best capabilities are removed.
@Hunter_i86 Well, I am genuinely upset about this because the Su-34 has always been my favorite aircraft, and now it arrives in such a nerfed state. I don't care if Gaijin adds the Brimstone missiles with their full potential to the British or if they add Storm Shadow missiles. The game is broken anyway, and the developers are money hungry, lazy idiot's who somehow manage to make everything worse.
NGL would be cool if you can do the same with the F-15E. Would be cool if you can also show us its cockpit features too for simulator, have not seen a single other youtuber showcase this, and I'm unable to get on dev server myself.
When there will be alternative of pantsir they will move them together with it on higher BR. But for now there is only one SPA which is destroying balance of SQB games.
The thing is with this tho by the time those reach the game will most likely end and people who fly normal to targets will end up detroying them 5 times over So its not practical, tho this would really shine in simulator especially if you can lock onto enemy airfield instead of targets Maybe try that too ? And if airfield works also try locking on to different modules on airfields
Yeah nope . By the times these bombs reach their target you will have 3 teamates that have already bombed that base .... This can only work well late game if there are only one or two bombers left in your team .
people want map corrections, and i agree we got map corrections: its the BVR maps wich are MUCH larger and have way more targets id like to see this tested on a BVR map
No they are not ok, I dislike all Fox 3 missiles, Fox 1 is more fun and it was enough. I'm not against adding Grom 1 or AMRAAM but preparations should be made in Air RB, Ground RB, Ground SB and Air sim EC before adding them.
It is a healthy decision, preparations need to be done before adding such tech. It means Gaijin started to think they are going too far without reworking maps size since 2014.
guy doesn't even have to bother aiming, the game does it for him. Peak bot friendly. The only balancing factor is that bases no longer respawn (as i heard).

Something happened between the Gaijin dev and marketing team some time ago... the original vision is pretty much gone, without the new one in place. What I mean by that, this game is still pretty much designed around 1930s - 1950s war tech... anything more modern than MiG 17 will be breaking the game, no matter how you look at it. The Devs did not think about this when the game launched back in 2013. But they've been pretty much forced to, by the popularity of the game and players talking about things like - "imagine F15 in WT, that would so cool". This eventualy turned into a real demand on the market and even though devs didn't plan this, they've pretty much been forced to go this way, gradually progressing towards what we have today, without spending a single minute, or should I say a single buck, into thinking about the impact these new technologies will have on the game and developing the game's environment simultaneously. And now here we are, having A - G weapon systems with 100km FnF reach in what basically still is a WW2 game in it's core. I'm mabye too radical with this one, but I still think the supersonic jets with AA missiles are way over the top for the game's own design even for today, let alone when it was first introduced... 32 planes in one battle when a single one has the destructive potencial of downing third of the enemy team. It's not just realistic, it's not fun anymore... it is fun on 4.7 but it's borderline insane on 13.7. The game needs way more development now than the devs would probably be willing to put their time and resources into. It's not about just designing new gamemodes. It's about making a basically whole separate game from the ground up in order to properly accomodate the tech we have right now in the game aswell as the progression of the technology from the reserve tier to the top and at the same time keeping the sweet spot between realism and fun gameplay. And by every single new vehicle and weapon system they are going to add they'll be making this quest of theirs more and more difficult.

@@Hunter_i86 First of all thank you for your response. I think we share our views towards the game. I'm honestly more of a fan of cold war stuff than WW2. I really like the area around 7.7 to 10.7 for example, so I really don't mind the game is advancing towards more modern stuff. However like we see, the game's environment is far from accommodating towards this sort of mechanics and technologies... Although I kinda feel that we are aproaching the breaking point where the game will become such a chaotic and insane cluster fuck, that the developers themselves will have to do something about it. And I absolutely get your point about air RB. I'd go even as far as to say that through out the game's life time the gamemode devolved. Even the midtiers 3.7 - 5.7 are completely destroyed by 25 minutes time cap. It's encouraging players to just dive into the furball make some headons and call it a day making stuff like P47s completely worthless since before you get yourself into the position the battle is over. And let's not talk about the current mayhem on top tier... That said I can't see you even playing Air RB as it is right now... it's just not your style considering your way of aproaching the game... patiently with sense for deadly precission :) But I don't think that the current state of air RB is anyones style tbh... And you are not biased at all... I mostly watching you playing brits, since it's my favorite nation and looking through your channel I also couldn't tell which nation is your favorite. why cant they make the brimstone gps guided then when it gets to like 7 km. then use a ir seeker to find and lock targets instead of radar that way it still has its loal and is fire and forget. and still has all the cons of other weapons like mavs still need line of site to launch still affected by the weather and cant see through smoke
that is the exact reason they weren't fully implemented the capability to stay behind cover, fire brimstones and let them auto guide themselves to targets, whether enemeis or teammates (and yes, that was the devs response + them not wanting a vehicle to be able to target enemy vehicles without direct line of sight)

@@urbanchaoszzz7511 that is the trick Let's say i had access to brimstones that could fire to gps coordinates then switch to arh tracking What i will do and most other cas players is simple Spawn, mark enemy spawn on map, place a targeting point, then go low and just spam those brimstones from whatever corner i wish and maybe while doing cap as well
Beautiful aircraft, i don`t play wt, but isn`t it how newest bombers work? Just throw some kinzhals and go home, they will do the rest. I mean its realistically, but the game was about tank battles if i remember correctly, i guess its no fun when you got hit by mysterious missile from edge of the map.

I dont know if you can actually leave before the missiles impact. I know for air kills at least, if you leave before the player actually dies you dont get the SL and RP from it.

I just wanted to say that the bases are too close and maps are too small, this is not gameplay, spamming six missiles one minute after take off then land and repeat is not normal. The maps in 13.7BR should be 800km x 800km, not 131km x 131km as the one in the video. The current maps are NOT ENOUGH ANYMORE.

They should've stopped when they reached late Cold War vehicles at most, at the very least late WW2. The game engine has got to be crying for help at this point, I don't think they could make GRB maps bigger at all without it destroying performance if they kept the same level of detail. I wouldn't mind realistic huge maps at the cost of detail, I don't think anyone would complain and it would make a lot of vehicles shine not having to always be in brawling distance which is already unrealistic enough.
@@AIDOSER I do not see how changing lines of code and adding new ones is less profitable than getting your artist to model, then have someone code its physics, parts, then paste code for its functions like almost any other vehicle. even just focusing on adding scenarios and making the game feel more realistic and feel like an actual battle instead of "take this point and you win!!" would be enough.
@@mikayari185 if you want to get any TOP vehicle, you should grind for years. Or buy a premium account, premium vehicle, then buy GE and buy modifications. If you want to get any vehicle at an event - you should play 24/7, get top rank vehicle or pay GE. Also all premium vehicles are gradually being nerfed, so if you want to farm efficiently, buy a new premium vehicle which was introduced in the latest patch. And when you have a TOP vehicle, when you think you are the most dangerous in a fight, the developer introduces a new vehicle. And again. And again. And here you are competing with newbies who want to get a new F117 or something, buy themselves a new premium OP vehicle, and you, on the old nerfed junk, remember that there was still money on the card

Who couldve thought that Russia outranging everyone as usual would be OP? Atleast doing what you suggested wouldnt work, landing and J-ing out would get you crew locked so you wouldnt be able to just go to another match, its better to land, reload, do the next base and repeat and then leave once you've made launches on all 4 bases, assuming the match lasts long enough for them to hit anyway since Air RB matches barely last 3 minutes. Anyway i guarantee at some point there will be a clip of someone getting an air kill with one of these because someone runs right into them in flight, which would be hilarious.

What bothers me most is the fact that Gaijin still doesn't want to adapt the maps to the modern weapon systems.
I'm not just talking about the greater distances that new weapon systems bring with them, but that multi-layered air defense should finally be introduced.
Gaijin is focused on things that bring them money ... and that means new vehicles, and new players that didn't have enough yet and can still spend lots of money. As they expand the tech tree, the incentive of buying premiums is higher at new players, the starter pack concept

This is actually the reason why im leaved war thunder as player (but not as outside spectator). We bombed the same red bases in 2013 with first props, we bombed the same bases in 2018 on phantom, and we still bombing the same bases on f-15e or su-24/34. And this is happening across the all game - the game only gets larger in terms of venicle progression and required time to try all things, but never in the actual gameplay depth and overall quality.
I have roughly 700 hours as recorded by steam, all this in air rb, and have so far unlocked ~11% of all aircraft. Including 2 premiums.
Warthunder has the worst progression system by miles. I can't play soviet jets, or french jets or swedish jets, or british jets.
From all games I've played, I have spent the most money on warthunder and can happily enjoy 11% of ⅓ of the gamemodes. Ridiculous!
Please abuse and use this guys, force gaijin to take a look at the maps and game-modes and make changes instead of always pushing the envelope of vehicles and munitions.
The goddamn maps and modes are the same since 2014, it is very unacceptable to keep adding vehicles\weapons with crazy capabilities and the maps\modes are the same, it is very stupid, both Grom-E1 and GBU-39.

The major part of the playerbase is more concerned with their fucking fancy vehicles than actual playable missions and maps. Do I enjoy it? Absoltely NO, the whole gameplay is bs.. GSB or ASB can give me some enjoyable gameplay, but ARB or GRB feels like some kinda joke.. when I killed by a 4th Gen jet, in 1945's Berlin.😢

Maps need correction for top tier ASAP.
It is quite insane that at 13.7 we often spawn in maps like afghanistan, where both teams are merely 30 km away from each other, right after takeoff and a little climb.
Literally, the map in the video is Sinai, which is 131km x 131km I believe, and it is the biggest size in War Thunder. Imagine if that was this easy to do in the biggest map then it is easier in the smaller ones.
Size of the maps didn't changed anything. They made them bigger, but now you are just flying on the deck bit longer untill you reach furball.
Game modes needs to be redesigned completely. But they don't need to do it. There is no competition, whales are hooked and addicted so they will fund this until the very end.
I am quite sure game modes will stay like this for minimum at least 5 years. And then 5years again if the game is still alive.

Except, at least 70% of every map is empty and people rarely ever fly there unless they are running away from someone, adding more empty space didn't change that. Maybe if they spread out all the ground targets and bases, ground pounders would spread out, luring the less confident fighters towards them, which would lure everyone else over as well, making the maps actually feel bigger and not just inflated with empty space. Then, they could also add an additional pair of airfields to spread people out even more and suddenly many of the issues with the current 16v16 matches would get better. But as you already said, there's not much incentive for Gaijin to do that.

Tbh it didn't start with Pantsir, it was always like that. Remember ATGM helis vs gun-only SPAA? Or first all-aspect IR missiles against planes without flares?
For the Maps vs Weapons Capabilities it started with Pantsir S1, I don't mind adding Pantsir S1 anymore, in fact since pilots got reworked RWRs.
But I do mind "Return To The Battlefield" inside the range of Pantsir S1 or any SPAA, like in Flanders & Ardennes.

There's plenty of BS additions that make no sense in the context of the exisitng game modes we've had LITERALLY SINCE THE GAME FIRST LAUNCHED. At this point I've just given up hope that we'll see any new ones, ever. I firmly believe that the lack of new game modes is the single biggest problem with the game and I'd rather see an update with 0 new vehicles or maps and just 1 new game mode than the current trend the Snail follows.
Triple mavs with missiles shouldn't be possible as the fins clip/collide on launch. It's apparently already been reported. But 2 65Gs + 5 JDAMs + 4 AMRAAMs should still be possible.
I might however sneak in some SDBs to hide a maverick/JDAM in between against Pantsirs, idk if it will work.

Good in theory, but in a real match friendlies would've destroyed all bases 4-5 minutes into the match, since bases don't respawn in the exact same spot the chance of success here is very low. Plus it takes 4-6 Groms (depending on type) to kill 1 base, not very efficient when regular bombs can yield up to 3 bases.
you can J out and rearm your plane on airfield and if you launch them at only a 45 degrees incline they will probably get there faster, so you can bomb all bases without ever leaving the airfield area , maybe your teammates makes it before your bombs, maybe they get shot down, you can switch to actual missiles after if the match isn't already over.
The only way you don't get anything is if your team just win everything very fast, but that wouldn't change your score much in those situations
Meh, in GRB at those BRs not any people go for bases. The su34 is probably going to be the only 13.7 attacker for a long while.

Launch then immediately leave gets you little reward. Since the algorithm of reward is roughly: time alive * activity percentage * other factors.
If you only spend 1/10 the time in game, then only 1/10 the rewards. Except kill rewards which doesn't get affected by time alive and activity.
This does look scary but it doesn't give you free grind.
The optimal way to grind with Grom is fire them at one base, land, fire at another base (you need ~800 pts to get full reward, ie, high activity percentage), then stall the game as long as possible.

Since most players who pays the game those who had a tiresome day working/studying and only want to have some quick action and dopamine. A game only has ~2 minutes to make impression for players to buy in. AFK climb for 10 minutes just to see an enemy was proven killing the game back in 2014-2018 where player count was in constant decline.

Grom-1 is a nice addition but its not completely overpower. We all thought JDAMs were broken for Ground RB. They're not. Still a GPS guided munition. Just move around.. Also for those AA players who don't know, IRST can detect and shoot the missiles / bombs out of the sky. Learn to adapt to the weaponry.
Also keep in mind, the SP cost of carrying these munitions. The probability of a lone su34 cruising around the AO without any form of resistance is low. Yes, its capibilities are great but let's be honest. We see alot of people spawn a2a / Anti CAS and eliminate the threat. CAS players are learning to adapt. HOWEVER, I think Gaijin should look into increasing the air combat zones. 13KM air spawn is insane for both parties.
hey jordan, whats your thoughts on the brimstones getting a simple IR or TV seekerhead so they wouldnt have the ARH capabilites, but at the saem time wouldnt be completely and utterly useless with the laser guidance needing to constantly follow a single target for 30 seconds considering the speed of the brimstones
@@Skinny6539 It's total BS how Gaijin is implementing them. They could have easily gasve them an IR / TV seeker and it would've been balanced. Most META AA can literally shoot them out of the sky with radar / IRST.
The Tornadoes aren't completely terrible in game BUT compared to everything else (f16C, SM3, etc) they're lacking. I hope Gaijin really rethink this decision. Gaijin seems to forget how they added the KH38.

I totally agree with the closing comments of your video. War Thunder is not ready for these kind of weapons. In DCS we fly on huge ass maps, and glide bombs/cruise missiles are insane stand-off weapons used as pre-emtpive attack, that is usually synchronized with other units. War Thunder needs badly some new game mode that will allow combined arms to shine. Also the random spawn of SPAA is annyoing in RB. It should be not be the case in potential Combined Arms game mode. Anyway, its hard for me to imagine the Su-34 on RB, where the battlefield is compressed severely for ground units.

@@mmneaapro596 Grom1 is ALSO a guided bomb technically. Both are rocket assisted/boosted guided bombs. The only differences are that grom1 is GPS guided and is a glide bomb instead of a normal one.
At this point, Gaijin will add the ADF-111 Falken/Raven BEFORE F-22, Ef and Su-57.

That's why Gaijin needs DCS sized maps. Correct me if I'm wrong but DCS maps are something like 500km X 900km.
As a reminder, even before the pantsir was added, most top tier SPAA like the Roland, Flakrad, Tunguska, etc could snipe jets as soon as they spawned in. It took gaijin years to move the spawn point back out of range.. only to add the pantsir shortly afterwards. Gaijin has never liked doing anything but the bare minimum, they always focus on new vehicles and maps and gimmicks, and rarely do they ever bother to address the issues these additions cause.

Not dumb at all, and you might be right, the situation could be different in live battles and I'm only over reacting. However, it still feels abnormal and wrong to be able to spam missiles at bases one min after take off then land and repeat. Maps are small for 13.7BR, that was the main point of the video.

If the base at the middle of the map it might faster with classic bombing run but it is riskier, it is safer to attack the base in mid map literally from your airfield, one min after takeoff while being inside the coverage of friendly air defenses.
It doesn't feel right, simple like that.

I'm not against it my friend, not against adding new stuff at all, and I will be the happiest man on earth if they enhanced sim mode and invested more in it, but it is wrong to add 120km missile or 100km bomb and the biggest map in the entire game is 131km x 131km, 13.7BR air maps should be 500km x 500km at the very least now.

I have been saying this for a while now: current War Thunder needs a whole new revamp of air, ground,heli, and naval modes along with new modes that go along with them, not including the changes to the current systems you can use in battle for a lot of them especially the ceiling height and many more systems for these new game modes
Ground RB. Spawn in Air than spam Groms in AA spawn area, RTB , take off, spam -> repeat
Finally, Gaijin adds something fun to use, and then people complain so much that it gets removed. The missile was slower than other jets, they would have reached the base much faster. The Su-34 is already nerfed, now they make it even worse, it's so annoying. It should be able to lock multiple targets at once with its radar and not appear on RWR thanks to PESA. And it also has a rear facing radar as a MAW system that also isn't added. They should finally fix their game and not remove fun things.
I'm not against the missile, I'm against the maps and modes, scenarios need to be bigger. My message was not removing the missile, it was reworking maps and modes. But Gaijin went for the easy solution I guess, remove the missile.
Brimstone got nerfed too, its best capabilities are removed.
@Hunter_i86 Well, I am genuinely upset about this because the Su-34 has always been my favorite aircraft, and now it arrives in such a nerfed state. I don't care if Gaijin adds the Brimstone missiles with their full potential to the British or if they add Storm Shadow missiles. The game is broken anyway, and the developers are money hungry, lazy idiot's who somehow manage to make everything worse.
If we are talking about Ground RB, Su-34 is gonna be the best CAS plane with best SPAA with zero contest in each category.

It is a healthy decision, preparations need to be done before adding such tech. It means Gaijin started to think they are going too far without reworking maps size since 2014.
guy doesn't even have to bother aiming, the game does it for him. Peak bot friendly. The only balancing factor is that bases no longer respawn (as i heard).

Another problem with grinding like this is that you are already at top tier, meaning there isnt a whole lot left to grind for in that tech tree
Something happened between the Gaijin dev and marketing team some time ago... the original vision is pretty much gone, without the new one in place. What I mean by that, this game is still pretty much designed around 1930s - 1950s war tech... anything more modern than MiG 17 will be breaking the game, no matter how you look at it. The Devs did not think about this when the game launched back in 2013. But they've been pretty much forced to, by the popularity of the game and players talking about things like - "imagine F15 in WT, that would so cool".
This eventualy turned into a real demand on the market and even though devs didn't plan this, they've pretty much been forced to go this way, gradually progressing towards what we have today, without spending a single minute, or should I say a single buck, into thinking about the impact these new technologies will have on the game and developing the game's environment simultaneously.
And now here we are, having A - G weapon systems with 100km FnF reach in what basically still is a WW2 game in it's core. I'm mabye too radical with this one, but I still think the supersonic jets with AA missiles are way over the top for the game's own design even for today, let alone when it was first introduced...
32 planes in one battle when a single one has the destructive potencial of downing third of the enemy team. It's not just realistic, it's not fun anymore... it is fun on 4.7 but it's borderline insane on 13.7.
The game needs way more development now than the devs would probably be willing to put their time and resources into. It's not about just designing new gamemodes. It's about making a basically whole separate game from the ground up in order to properly accomodate the tech we have right now in the game aswell as the progression of the technology from the reserve tier to the top and at the same time keeping the sweet spot between realism and fun gameplay.
And by every single new vehicle and weapon system they are going to add they'll be making this quest of theirs more and more difficult.
I don't play Air RB because I think it is the worst mode in the game, I was just shocked when I tried this possibility and wanted to share it with the community.

I really like the area around 7.7 to 10.7 for example, so I really don't mind the game is advancing towards more modern stuff. However like we see, the game's environment is far from accommodating towards this sort of mechanics and technologies...
Although I kinda feel that we are aproaching the breaking point where the game will become such a chaotic and insane cluster fuck, that the developers themselves will have to do something about it.
And I absolutely get your point about air RB. I'd go even as far as to say that through out the game's life time the gamemode devolved. Even the midtiers 3.7 - 5.7 are completely destroyed by 25 minutes time cap.
It's encouraging players to just dive into the furball make some headons and call it a day making stuff like P47s completely worthless since before you get yourself into the position the battle is over.
And let's not talk about the current mayhem on top tier...
That said I can't see you even playing Air RB as it is right now... it's just not your style considering your way of aproaching the game... patiently with sense for deadly precission :)

why cant they make the brimstone gps guided then when it gets to like 7 km. then use a ir seeker to find and lock targets instead of radar that way it still has its loal and is fire and forget. and still has all the cons of other weapons like mavs still need line of site to launch still affected by the weather and cant see through smoke
that is the exact reason they weren't fully implemented
the capability to stay behind cover, fire brimstones and let them auto guide themselves to targets, whether enemeis or teammates (and yes, that was the devs response + them not wanting a vehicle to be able to target enemy vehicles without direct line of sight)
thats why i said make them gps then when they get close to target they switch to ir. mode to use gps u need line of site

What i will do and most other cas players is simple
Spawn, mark enemy spawn on map, place a targeting point, then go low and just spam those brimstones from whatever corner i wish and maybe while doing cap as well

Beautiful aircraft, i don`t play wt, but isn`t it how newest bombers work? Just throw some kinzhals and go home, they will do the rest. I mean its realistically, but the game was about tank battles if i remember correctly, i guess its no fun when you got hit by mysterious missile from edge of the map.
Sure, I'm not against the missile, and it is not OP in Ground RB. It is just the biggest air maps in the game feel very tiny for such weapon. They should extend maps to 500km x 500km.

I dont know if you can actually leave before the missiles impact. I know for air kills at least, if you leave before the player actually dies you dont get the SL and RP from it.
Yeah, you can be right. I just wanted to say that the bases are too close and maps are too small, this is not gameplay, spamming six missiles one minute after take off then land and repeat is not normal. The maps in 13.7BR should be 800km x 800km, not 131km x 131km as the one in the video. The current maps are NOT ENOUGH ANYMORE.

They should've stopped when they reached late Cold War vehicles at most, at the very least late WW2. The game engine has got to be crying for help at this point, I don't think they could make GRB maps bigger at all without it destroying performance if they kept the same level of detail. I wouldn't mind realistic huge maps at the cost of detail, I don't think anyone would complain and it would make a lot of vehicles shine not having to always be in brawling distance which is already unrealistic enough.
It is more profitable to add new equipment than to update the game engine and fix bugs
@@AIDOSER I do not see how changing lines of code and adding new ones is less profitable than getting your artist to model, then have someone code its physics, parts, then paste code for its functions like almost any other vehicle.
even just focusing on adding scenarios and making the game feel more realistic and feel like an actual battle instead of "take this point and you win!!" would be enough.
@@mikayari185 if you want to get any TOP vehicle, you should grind for years. Or buy a premium account, premium vehicle, then buy GE and buy modifications. If you want to get any vehicle at an event - you should play 24/7, get top rank vehicle or pay GE. Also all premium vehicles are gradually being nerfed, so if you want to farm efficiently, buy a new premium vehicle which was introduced in the latest patch.
And when you have a TOP vehicle, when you think you are the most dangerous in a fight, the developer introduces a new vehicle. And again. And again. And here you are competing with newbies who want to get a new F117 or something, buy themselves a new premium OP vehicle, and you, on the old nerfed junk, remember that there was still money on the card

The map in video is EC map LoL, even EC maps are small when air to ground missiles are 120km now.

Absolutely baffling we still don’t have any improvements on any modes. Literally playing the same modes since 2014, rb and especially sim could be so much more.
Who couldve thought that Russia outranging everyone as usual would be OP? Atleast doing what you suggested wouldnt work, landing and J-ing out would get you crew locked so you wouldnt be able to just go to another match, its better to land, reload, do the next base and repeat and then leave once you've made launches on all 4 bases, assuming the match lasts long enough for them to hit anyway since Air RB matches barely last 3 minutes.
Anyway i guarantee at some point there will be a clip of someone getting an air kill with one of these because someone runs right into them in flight, which would be hilarious.
Basically cruise missiles at that point
