Staying present in the conversation has been a GAME CHANGER for me! But it’s definitely something I have to work on daily. As someone with a bit of social anxiety, I find myself overthinking during conversations and worrying about what I’m gonna say next. But when I practice staying as present as possible and listening intently to the other person, I find that the conversation flows so much better !!

I wish I could send this video to my post grad self! This is so informative especially navigating the corporate world. I also love to ask questions that don’t have a yes or no answer. I try to stay clear of those 🙅🏻‍♀️ I’d love to see a part 2 where the focus is more of a group setting like a work meeting, networking event, etc.

SUCH a good callout about yes/no questions!! Definitely good to ask more open ended questions :) Ooh! That's a great idea! Adding it to the to-do list!! ❤❤

An extremely informative video, applicable in all human interaction. Worthy of a TED talk!!!
Great advice and tips. Especially #21 - it's a useful checklist for the type of questions to ask and seems to double as a framework for understanding what "level" of conversation you had with someone. One some days, even close friends and I cannot get past level 1. On other days, we seamlessly evolve from 1, to 2, to 3 and discover new things about each other!

This comment made my day :) Thank you!! I love your take on #21 - definitely resonates. All the "tiers" serve different and important purposes to having great conversations to build relationships!!
