Photographing Purple Sandpipers in the Arctic ⎸ Varanger Expedition ep 4

- In this wildlife photography series, I take you along - behind the scenes - on a week-long photography expedition in pursuit of the hardy creatures that endure the cold temperatures and inhospitable conditions that the Arctic throws at them. In this episode, I focus on a small wading bird known as the purple sandpiper, and I get up-close and personal with these fascinating little creatures.

Wahnsinn, so tolle Bilder!
Great footage and images of these very tough, hardy and beautiful Purple Sandpipers.
Thanks a lot!
Great video! Always sure have a very nice and relaxing couple of minutes when I see there‘s a new vid of yours. Love your images!

Yet another great video Tobias👏 I really like your style of filming, music and images. Great work. Keep it up. Can't wait for the next one👍
Thanks so much! Your words mean a lot!
Fantastic in the snow 👍
Cheers!
Amazing Captures Tobias!👏
Much appreciated!
Beautiful landscapes, beautiful birds, beautiful pictures... your videos are really amazing ! It's always a great pleasure to watch them. Thanks again for sharing your encounters with wildlife.
Thank you for your support! 🙏
That’s great advice about the wind direction! I’d never have considered that. Great video; beautiful images.
Thanks a lot! I'm glad I could help!
Stunning video and images. I always enjoy how you capture the behavioural activity. I absolutely loved the high-key photos with the reflection. They were perfectly and tastefully processed. I was impressed with the flight photos, especially the ones with the in-focus subject in front of the abstract blurred purple sandpipers in the background.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate that!
Another excellent video. The snow is wonderful. Admire your patience in the cold, and your voice over skills.
Thanks so much!
This is a lovely video and your photos are truly art. The photo where there is a bird floating above the others against a white background, the ones on the ground out of focus is one you should submit to a contest.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! I might just try them in a contest!
Awesome bird, very hard to find in Canada though! Nice video Tobias!
Thanks! It's no easy task in most of the rest of Norway, but just up here, it's much easier
Love your videos. Thanks for sharing.
I’m glad to hear! Thanks for supporting my work!
Awesome so lovely video
Thanks a lot!
Great video and photo’s again Tobias 👍
Many thanks!
Lovely video Tobias. We get the odd bunch of purple sandpipers over here (Northern Netherlands). But getting to photograph them in the snow is something else. Keep up the good work!
Thanks a lot! They’re such fun subjects!
What would you reckon would be the best time of year for a birding/bird photography trip to Varanger?
Stunning collection of images Tobias. I wonder why so many of the Sandpipers only had one leg?
Thanks a lot! They all had two legs, but when they rest, they tend to only stand on a single one
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@TobiasGjerde always
Nice job - again 👏👍
Thanks a lot!
