      @Bobby Hair Studio I watched all your videos for blonde hair and they are amazing. I went to my hairdresser today with 2 inch dark natural roots, armed with knowledge from your videos, and asked for my roots to be bleached the way you did them here. Showed her the process, explained it myself (since I watched it a few times).... but she insisted my roots weren't as long as shown here and that my hair would be even. I tried telling her that I would end up with hot roots and that the rest of them wouldn't lighten enough. She insisted it would be fine and that I definitelydo NOT need foils. Then when she already started bleaching them she said "Well, maybe they won't lift to the level the rest of your hair is". Not to mention I go for a cool toner at the end always (not ashy, pearly). I think no-one here will be surprised that I've come out of the salon with orangish-yellow longer roots, in some places 1/2 inch hot roots, and now I wonder - is this salvageable? She didn't want to use foils *at all*, so the beach was just drying out on my head. Obviously, I can't go back in with bleach soon because I want my hair to stay as healthy as possible, and I might have to find someone else to fix it, but can this be fixed? Any pointers?
      Sorry for the longer message.

    Thanks to your videos I used less vol on my hair despite the info I got from other youtubers and websites, and it totally worked out!
    Even for my bleach wash I only used 7 vol, which obviously was even less than 7 since diluted, and it worked well! I had some more orangy spots from my previous bleaching session and put 20 vol on that and can definitely feel that it is more damaged. So i'm really happy I didn't do the bleach wash with the often recommend 20 vol on my entire head. That is really just thanks to you!
    I love my new purely white blonde hair, that is in far better condition than expected. :p

    Won't the foils in the back need to be pulled out after being in the foils for so long? Does the bleach stop working? Do you use a lower developer? I didnt know you can leave foils in for an hour and a half? Looks amazing! Just curious because I thought you would need to spray the back with water or rinse them out befor doing the roots?

    Lay person question: I am hearing about breakage if overlapping beyond line of previous bleach and its worse with 4 inches of regrowth vs 2 inches, Why?

  • @Adrianlupita67
    @Adrianlupita67 3 роки тому +2

    I am a natural level 2, and have been bleaching my hair to a level 9/10. I use the same bleach as you and Wella permanent color. It takes me about 30min to apply bleach on roots then let it sit for 45min. I have SO MUCH breakage. I have lost 12 in of length in the past 6 months. Is this just the reality of being blonde when you’re naturally level 2. Will my hair just never grow? Any suggestions please I love being blonde but I miss my hair being down to my hips and now it’s at my shoulders 🥺🥺🥺

      you might be overlapping with highlighted hair. What level of bleach do you use? When i do my own hair i dont have any breakage but as soon as i go for highlights to the salon that's it - i get so many flyaways from overlapped hair that it is just sad.

    Wow! What a well-explained video for bleaching. I wonder what your take is on bleaching roots? Do you find it 'easier' to not overlap on extended roots or is it easier on month-old roots? It almost seems safer to bleach long dark roots than to just have the tiny space of short roots. Thanks again!

    Great video but I’m very confused on why you spent all the time and charged for a color correction when you say later in the video that you could just apply it all at once and it would lift even since her roots are very light? Genuinely curious

    • @BobbyHairStudio
      @BobbyHairStudio  2 роки тому

      It would still be a colour correction in that case as well because of how long the roots are. There are more steps involved in doing larger roots like this than doing the typical 1/2-2/3 inch that are included in a standard bleach root touch up.

There is little to no correcting needing to be done here, no problem solving/trial and error, this client literally has the dream root colour to take to platinum blonde. I mean how can you be using a 7vol and call it a colour correction. Sorry that’s just wrong to charge her that.
