- Hey Everyone! I know it's been such a long time since I've posted. I have been waiting for something like this to come along to film and I'm so happy I did! This poor girl had some breakage, deep level 7-8 banding and really long roots. please remember this is a HIGH RISK color correction and should not be attempted by non-professionals.

I fixed my daughter's banding doing this, obviously not to the professional level here, just using similar principles, as I'd watched a ton of proper hairdressing youtube videos. Hugely relieved it worked. Daughter still talks about it 18months later as we watch UA-cam hair posts..
We watch, listen and learn from you, thankyou!!
This appointment , is what I wish the public would understand , our job isn’t easy . It’s hard work
And a 6 hr service costs $$$
It isn't THAT hard if you actually know what you are doing
You did a great job 👏🏼. I hope everyone knows how frikkin hard that is ! So much balancing and detail timing AND chemistry. High kick and shablam to you. 😂
I did a color correction today on a friend. The first time on someone else and the second time ever. I used things I learned in older tutorials by you, but I'm not a professional, just interested. And I'm super proud of the result!! It wasn't easy or perfect, and I was working 3 hours on her constantly. Bit it looked soooo good! I'm super happy! 💖 I wish I could've filmed it, but I was too shy to ask her.😅
Well, thank you for your great advice!
I learned a lot and did a great job today because of you! 🥰
Btw, she didn't want any toner or color mask to even out the ends and roots, so I personally wasn't a fan of the slightly difference in tone, but it wasn't that noticable for others.
That looks excellent. People have no idea what goes into these processes and they love to criticize. There isn't even a line of demarcation and we know how hard that is to achieve with lightener. I personally find color corrections and extreme blonding exhausting. You deserve a medal for this excellent work 🙂
Amazing result! Your work is meticulous and immaculate, and your tutorial has all the special experiences and nuances that are so important for any stylist 💚
Thank you very much!
Omg I DID THE SAME THING ON MY HAIR YESTERDAY! 20v for the roots 10v for my banding! It came out PERFECT! And I’m not even a professional!
Good work, did you tone also ?
i been so scared of banding specially in platinum hair bc of the breakage, but your work was clean and so perfect, beautiful result ❤
You are amazing. I am not a cosmetologist, but I love learning and you give me that in all of your videos.
Amazing. It looks beautiful. Very good info on how to deal with color corrections without distressing the patron. Great job!
Beautiful!!! You make it look so easy, but hearing you say it takes six hours helps to hear.
Wonderful work👏🏼👏🏼 the hair looks gorgeous✨
You do amazing work and Ive learned soooooo much from your channel!!
Thanks for the new technique!! Great job!!
Gorgeous work!
Wow her hair turned out gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
You're a Magician!
Wow 😮 Katie you are so brave , I truly wished I could be so laid back like you applying bleach .. I m so passionate about hairdressing , but bleach does terrify me .I wonder do you ever get over this ? Fabulous colour and a professional finish as always thanks for sharing 💖
You get over it with liability waivers and K18 😄
I love how methodical and clean everything worked out for you!
I probably just would have applied 2mm off the scalp to the end of the root with 20vol, then go back with 10vol to touch up every missed scalp hair and overlap on the band, but I know exactly what you mean when certain brands of lightener either start to make the hair stiff or start to crumble off their head or make it impossible to section again😅
Blondeme stays quite manipulative but we only have studio Blond multi technique which sounds similar to what you used😆
You are talented!
Wow
Amazing Results
🙏❤️
New videoooooo yeeeeeeeeey missing you heaps 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I'm a new subscriber and I've already binge watching a lot of your videos 😂. I love your personality and I've adapted your 2 stars and a wish into my everyday life . ❤
Oooo this is great work 👍!!!
Excellent video thank you!!
Gorgeous 😍 😍 😍BTW thank you for sharing your method definitely helpful.
I love this vid. Beautiful end result
Thank you! Cheers!
Love it all the way from down under Australia 🇦🇺 !
That needs a trim sooooooo bad, beautiful job anyway..
Yes, never understand why people "have somewhere to go" when scheduling a long appointment like this. A trim would not take much longer either. My guess is that some people just want to maintain their length, no matter what the state of it is. Hoping she is getting a nice cut next time!
Me, black haired, binging how pros correct beautiful blondes. Would you ever consider making a video how to apply and maintain dark color like a pro? Im not a pro - sometimes my blue black dye starts to fade rusty. xoxo
Amazing color correction
Thank you!
beautiful!!!
Fantastic ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful! What about the Blondme 7 levels of lift/Precise Lightner for on the scalp have you used?
Soooo nice! When you’re using 1st set of toners then root smudge then 2nd set of toners, do you wash between first and second set of toners?
I love your videos!! I whatch them from Venezuela. It could be so cool if comes the opportunity to make a strawberry blonde formula video ❤
I’ve gotten some really pretty strawberry blondes by combining 1/4 of level 8 copper and 3/4 level 10 gold 😊
Beautiful work! Very tedious too! If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you charge her?
Beautiful Katy 🎉
Thank you! 😊
Just curious; what your developer/bleach ratio with Blondor? I used it yesterday on my roots and I mixed it 2:1; your mixture seem thicker then mine.
Holy shite ! That was wild.
Definitely a vast improvement. Not how I would have gone about it, but as you said, there are many ways to approach this. She should have let you take a few more minutes to trim the ends though. Hopefully she'll come back in 4 weeks like she's supposed to.
Yeah me neither, I think I would’ve skipped the first half inch of roots at first, then gone back and did them after foiling, then corrected the banding. Mainly because I feel that in the bowl before toning you could see the roots were much lighter, but that could just be her camera. What would you have done? I also really wished she would’ve gotten a trim
@@morganmiller9627 I would have started with only the banding. Get those as light as possible, then go back in and do from the banding to the ends. I always like to do roots last because there's nothing worse than hot roots, and once this girl's toner washes out she's going to probably not like her hair very much. But I do have respect for other choices. Everyone has their own way of doing it.
I love it
I went from #4 to #10 ashy blonde in 2000 and i had lots of banding since i was doing my hair myself. Recently i did this on my hair, and i was soooo happy with my results! I had to work super fast though because my bleach works is very quick acting (Schwartzkopf). Banding gone!!!!! Such relief. I just knew hair dressers were behind me in line at Walmart noticing my gold bands and thinking "Gurlllll, fire your hairdresser!!!!". Wish we had your percentages on toner. How much did you add of each?
Beautiful ❤️
Thank you! 😊
You are good ! 👍🏼
Thanks 😁
Wow georgous 6 vol as in 1.9%? What were the ratio of the toners that you used equal parts and the developer double?on the front did you outline the roots as well?on the sides did u start on top as well?
I like the yellow colour after bleach
If I may ask, why on certain touch ups with lightener… roots are not touched till the end, but this one, it was done with the rest of the regrowth ? Thank u
You should try mix in a small bit of blonde me in with the blondor for a kick. Game changer for me. I know insurance won’t cover me or whatever but I like to break the rules. It love doing it
Amazing I can let find anyone to do my hair, hairdressers are too scared to do roots because they’re afraid to overlap
What kind of blondor do you recommend for no swelling? I notice there are several kinds
Why your client's hair was wet from the beginning?did you grease her hair?and what percentage oxidant did you use?thanks🙏❤
❤❤❤❤
❤
She needs to let these ends go holy mother of crunchy hair 😖😖😖
Slayyyyyy❤
Where are you located? Ugh no one near Delaware cares enough to do this and take the time I can't find any that really even do Instagram and before and after pics.. 😢 Do you travel? I'd pay to be able to get a correction like this
That’s is anxiety hair to do for me !
Please fix my hair! I have horrible banding so insecure really need some help. Where are you located???
Are you using olaplex?
🙌🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🙌🏽
Is her hair wet to start??
Does anyone not like to be out in the open at the hair salon? I’ve learned to to my own hair bc I don’t want everyone watching me while I’m in the chair. I have literally learned to cut and color my own hair for years now. I’m pretty good lol
#freedomtoPalestin🚨🗣✌🏼
That banding color was not a level seven lol It was warmer but not an orange undertone
The camera doesn’t pick it up very well but it was a level seven in the lowest areas near the nape. Most areas near the top were a strong 8
My hairdresser retired and I trust no one. I used to do my own roots before her but this will be new . I am just concerned of the back of my hair that I can nnot see.
The hair needs more trim. The ends are quite thin.
A lot of work
Well obviously, this isn’t a client who keeps her roots up with that much regrowth and the amount of banding good luck
It is not easy to maintain this colour on dark hair like hers. Very expensive too. Within 2 weeks you will see dark hair growing in again... More easy to go with highlights and lowlights in order for it to grow out less obvious. I've had my hair blonde like this, never again. The work you need to put in with keeping it fresh looking. High and lowlights for me....
Ic only australian hairdressers knew how to deal with banding. They have zero clues and are lazy.
Her previous stylist? Uh, this is how my hair looked during 2020 when I was trying to figure out how to bleach my own hair because salons were closed and I had absolutely nothing but time on my hands
i see these kind of hair over and over with bands, and i no longer get upset with the last hairdresser as this is USER FAIL, the bleach hair shoudnt wait 4 to 6 months to retouch, roots shouldnt be no longer then 1 inch. And when they come to hairdresser with 2-3 inch of natural hair and expect to come out fantastic is very difficult. First it would cost more, second it will take so much more time, 3rd i find it is more damaging. People needs to understand bleach roots is a very expensive hair to keep up. And honey i know your work is great but come on, you can do better sectioning with a tail comb, this back of the brush sectioning is not good enough really, specially a work like this.
Im a student, but i dont understand how you knew to put red in? Omg im going to fail 🥲
12:22 to balance out the greeny ashy tones. I'm guessing the camera or the screen is not picking up the green in her hair.
