- Finally we can show YOU the pure SOUND of our #AutomannsGarage M550i, now fitted with the AC Schnitzer Exhaust System (EWG-compliant version, link down below). Engine is stock, so its a 4.4 liter V8 BiTurbo also being fitted in the new M5. It develops 462 hp and 650 Nm of torque almost across the entire power band. At low revs it sounds like an American muscle car. But the way it climbs through the rev ranges tells you it's not. This isn't a lazy V8.

The exhaust note transitions from that of a classic Camaro to the E90 M3’s, although it’s definitely more muted compared to either.

Klingt echt gut! Dezent, aber dennoch präsent! Bin jetzt ein paar Tage den M5 F90 gefahren. Aktuell mit der weltweit einzigen und ersten REMUS Abgasanlage drunter. Heftiger Klang... Dennoch genügt der M550i für den Alltag wohl vollkommen.
Coole Sache. M550i und M5 sind motortechnisch recht eng bei einander was das Feeling und den Sound angeht, die Mehrleistung des M5 merkt man erst wenn man es drauf anlegt. Jetzt mit der ACS-Anlage bekommt der M550i noch mehr Emotionen, bleibt dabei aber viel komfortabler im Alltag als der M5...in dieser Kategorie ein sehr gutes Preisleistungs-Verhältnis👍
Automann-TV Da hast du vollkommen recht... der erwähnte M5 fährt aktuell mit etwa 750 PS und 970 NM. Denke da ist der Sprung dann schon etwas größer 🙈

Start Up SOUND isn't too LOUD....and as soon as you put it in drive it stops.

Dude where are the pops and crackles? The performance exhaust has better pops and crackles.
This engine just doesn’t sound good below 4,000 rpm’s. I’ve tried a few different setups and the low rpm sound just isn’t what I would call “refined” lol
