- This is my 2016 BMW 550i with ARM downpipes, X-pipe, and a muffler delete. Stock resonators are still on. This exhaust setup arguably sounds much better than the F10 M5's exhaust.

You are telling the 100 percent truth outside of ferrari the N63 TT V8s have a almost natrually aspirated sound with lots of whistle its very pleasing compared to S63 , Audi or Mercedes v8s for example,

Sweet ride ,I have a 2016 but did the dinan replacement quad exhaust, dinan strings ,xpipe but waiting to fitted my arms down pipe . A bit disappointed as I know it won't sound as good as yours

I also have a 2016 550i. Did you get a tune after getting the arm downpipes? Also, how is the drone in the vehicle?
I didn't get a tune immediately after installing the downpipes. I probably only drove it for 2 or so weeks without a tune with no issues other than the check engine light but it being on doesn't affect performance. The tune coded it out.
Arm has sensors now for the downpipes that won’t throw engine lights

Hey man so there’s like two different types of resonators. I currently have both of those off and my mufflers off but left the flaps. About to put on some arm downpipes wasn’t sure if u had both sets of resonators on or just one I like the way you’re sounds. I also do have an x pipe already.
Where did you buy those taillights? They make the car look much newer, are they from g30 models?

Your car sounds better than any exhaust system on the market....Akra, Armytrix, FI, Dinan and Remus. I don't understand why they can't make their exhaust sound like your car? The only downfall to your mod is it can't be quieted down with a valve for family driving.
I think those brands dont want to be so loud bc in a lot of countries they have special requirements for the exhaust system especially to the loudness. In Germany, for example, with this sound you would be stopped by the first police car that crosses you and they would confiscate the car and immobilize it until you have rebuilt the exhaust system so that it is roadworthy.

I went with the 2.75” slip-fit. The fitment still wasn’t the best so I had to weld it to the mid pipe

What exhaust tips are these?
Do you have a picture of the exhaust setup I could have? Where is the x pipe located if you still have the stock resonator?
The stock exhaust on the 550i has a set of resonators and 2 mufflers, a mid-muffler and a rear muffler. I have an x-pipe where the mid-muffler would be and a straight pipe where the rear mufflers were.
@@novus_vzn what’s the size for the x pipe or which one did you get? i just chopped my mufflers and looking to do the x pipe then arm catless dp.
@@nate.s1krr the shop provided my with an x-pipe. I believe it was a 3.5”
@@novus_vzn did you remember if it was like a longer x pipe or was it a shorter one? i don’t want to go out on an arm and limb if it only requires the short one which are cheaper.
