I would actually really like someone to try and edit together a bunch of post's videos like the montage that was just posted, but at feature length. That would be awesome.
@@mathphysicsnerd I have a playlist of all the lake drain vids. I may have missed some but i doubt it. I feel juat as invested. Ill try to figure our how to get it to yall.
Them Beavers gotta realize, although they're amazing at what they do, sometimes it's really not in the world's best interest to dam up *some* areas. And we humans gotta realize how beneficial they are. They can make an oasis out of what's mostly desert, give them credit.
a few days past I saw a blocked drain here....I was looking for Post 10 but I don't think he's comming over to belgium to do this job. Next time I'll film it and post it on my youtube....
It's like the beavers want you to keep coming to this lake! they banded together to block the water and make you come back, to our delight! Love yours videos btw !
I’m so grateful to have discovered your videos. I would never have thought I’d find culvert cleaning so enthralling! I’m hooked, for sure, Post. This living in solitary confinement is necessary, but, getting more difficult to do. That’s why I’m very happy to join you and your subscribers on these interesting and fun adventures!
I absolutely love these videos. I find them very Informative and interesting. I find myself driving down the street and checking out storm drains just to make sure they're clear. Keep up the good work, if this makes you happy and it's something you enjoy well, it's not even work it's fun.
The sound of the running water was music to my ears. I hear robins outside my apartment and some leaves are budding but I don't live near running water. Lovely to hear!
I find your videos so fascinating! Thanks for sharing a lot of great material. I recently watched your video with the old pipe collapsing. It’s good to see that it was replaced. That new drain looks so much better than the previous one. It seems that the beaver debris has damaged the silt fence at the outlet on the left side when looking at it with the outlet in front of you. Whatever sediment and debris the state wants to manage is bypassing their controls with that silt fence compromised.
The attention you give to your surrondings is very inspiring. And not only that you notice when something is not working like it's supposed to be, but also you take action!
Hey Post10, I absolutely love your videos about drains and how u unclog them. You are literally one of my favorite youtubers... Greetings from Germany🇩🇪❤️
It amazes me how late it is before your trees bloom and the weather warms there. I love nature and know a bit about the flora I see in your videos. ❤️❤️❤️
Hi! I just wanted to say thank you for what you done to prevent floods and thousands of dollars in damage in your city! I’m surprised you did not get a metal yet! -tater
Hi post 10 loved the lake montage but look like the beavers have been very busy doing what they do best post 10 you may have to keep an eye on still. Many thanks for the update and really enjoy the look back and it's your work and dogged determination for the safety of other using the road above stay safe and best wishes to you and family 🙂🙂👍
I’m obsessed with your obsession with this lake! You “didn’t expect to be clearing the new drain”, but when it was installed, you predicted the beavers would hate it, so not really a surprise. And it does look like the DoT has been visiting and clearing some debris. You could become a qualified drainage consultant, with your knowledge of beaver-proof drains from the middle of the lake.
Every city needs a guy like Post 10 on their payroll. Got some localised flooding? No problem, we gotta' a guy on call! That would be our man's perfect job! Well done, Sir - most commendable :-) Respect from Scotland
Hey man thanks for the updates on this lake and the rest. The first one I watched on the lake was the worst clog before it collapsed. I found out about the collapse a few months after it happened. Videos popped up on recent uploads that I might want to see and haven't stopped watching the channel since. The 2nd culvert you found since a trail has been made I'm guessing they're going to change it before it before it does fail
Hi P10, great vids and very interesting. You should go and talk to a supervisor on becoming their Engineer of Drainage (future job title) and get hired on. Most city workers don't like doing what you do and you really enjoy it, so its a win for you and them too hire you; for these projects. You supply them with highly valuable information on their drainage systems and you unclog them from future disasters. and saving them millions in funds.
I love people who have odd hobbies and post it for the internet to enjoy. I started posting about my hobby about a year ago and I love it and have about 5000 followers.
That thing you're describing where the pipe comes up in the middle of the lake/pond is called a "Weir" you can build them to adjust water height too by casting 3 sides out of concrete and one side with boards on edge, preferably ship lath. In the fall you take boards out to drop the level, and before the spring put the boards back in so thaw won't create a torrent. Fish hatcheries use this method.
Looks like it had overflowed the road during recent flooding. Wasn't that green thing in the lake around those rocks to stop debris? Sounds like water is running around the blockage. When you did your walk through it was hollow behind the iron.
Ahh The Lake Drain. It's like meeting an old friend. You know it is business time when the hand of Post 10 spreads out and circles above a certain area.
The biggest problem with American infrastructure is that once it is finished the people in charge think it will last forever. This means no money is set aside for regular maintenance. Couple that with the American philosophy of never having enough workers to even do regular maintenance and you have a recipe for a catastrophic collapse
Have you considered a night vision go pro on an RC boat? Seems like it would be perfect for getting some cool shots of the insides of culverts, especially when you're trying to figure out what's going on inside like this one.
@post 10 do you have a microscope? If so you can get water samples and show people what is in it? Might require a special scope to be able to record what is on the slide.
I think I have figured it out. Remember undercover boss? When DOT comes out and sees Post, they are like there’s the boss, let’s go. If you notice, they respond very quickly.
Good to see what they did to fix it, but also you should use a RC boat/car with a light and camera on to saftly look in the pipes, you might be able to see the blockage
I feel like you need one of those ultra-bright long-range flashlights for shining down culverts. You could probably even see the debris in the collapsed tunnel.
i am happy to see that you have update us regarding this new lake drain.. i watched the every vidoes from the past regarding old drain colapsing.. and everything :)
I imagine the ribbons and stakes are because they're planning to straighten and reinforce the ditch line? Keeping the water moving means keeping debris moving, which means fewer deposits, which means fewer backups, which means less flooding.
I’m so invested in this lake drain. Can’t wait to see what happens next with it!
I would actually really like someone to try and edit together a bunch of post's videos like the montage that was just posted, but at feature length. That would be awesome.

I'd guess that he has, but he's respectful enough to not show it/talk about it.

He is doing these adventures in a nice part of Massachusetts, if he were in Dorchester, he would find a few

SAMSQUATCH Moss I would imagine he’d have trouble trying to explain to the airline company why he needs to board the plane with a rake!
I wish he'd take a drive down to Delaware. He'd have a blast with our drains and culverts. Every rainfall results in flooding.

You should invite the DTO to inspect the culvert/drain with you during a storm.
