I swear i didn't hear a single tune or note the first time watching, i was so much laughing and enjoying Julia's performance :)
So much effort put into this outfit, makeup, contact lenses, everything... and then fully merging into character.... this is a sneak peak of her true skills and devotion, as in Broadway musical level stuff.... Just amazing, this deserves a reuse later.
Yet for the 2nd watch I am truly amazed by this singer and band.... holy moly. I mean just wow.

My fav band! Found them 3 years ago because of this song and became obsessed with their music. A couple of originals (there are a bunch!) to check out: 'The Man,' 'Rufflin' Feathers,' 'Behind The Moon,' (starts with accapella harmonies), 'Let Me Breathe' and so many more. And yes, the whole band can sing! They have some impressive harmonies.
For some wonderful covers: 'Halleleujah,' (as you've not heard it before), 'Fat Bottom Girls,' 'Folsom Prison Blues,' 'Sex & Candy,' (as a bluesy, stanky version)
Phil is a vocal coach, so he will enjoy your dissection. 😁
You left off Dragonfly, such an amazing and emotional soul baring song. But yeah, I've traveled down the wormhole of their music as well, probably also about three years ago.
@@mjkdmain Yes, Dragonfly is gorgeous. We played it at my dad's funeral as my tribute from daughter to daddy and I have a dragonfly tattoo in honor of him that was inspired by Phil's. I saw them in Philadelphia in June, showed Phil my tattoo and told him that he sang at my dad's funeral. (Honestly, I'll never forget the way his voiced soared through the church speakers and up into the rafters...) Phil was sooo sweet, gave me a hug and told me how much that meant to him. Him? Lol. It means the world to me that he would share that with us. I should have mentioned it, but now it's so personal I usually don't. My bad, because others may find that same comfort. ❤
