The Emperor's New Groove is one of the best and funniest movies ever. Eartha Kitt's performance as Yzma will never gets old, Kuzco and Pacha's relationship has grown and Kronk is so funny 🦙🦙🦙💖💖💖🤣🤣🤣
Yzma: does he have any idea of who he's dealing with? how could he do this to me, when I practically raised him? Kronk: yeah you think he would have turned out better. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The cactus Yzma pours the extract of llama into turns llama shaped. It's small detail that almost no one would care about but someone took the time to do it.
Definitely recommend Cats Don’t Dance! It was the movie director Mark Dindal made prior to being brought in for Emperor’s New Groove. HUGE Looney Tunes energy.
@@Little1CaveOMG I never connected this to Cats Don’t Dance (imo the most underrated animated film of this era regardless of studio) but that makes so much sense!! Yzma as a cat always gave me Darla vibes 😂
@@ghost_grrrrl He was also the original director of “Me and My Shadow”, a Dreamworks animated movie that was cancelled mid-production. It was going to be a hybrid of 2D and 3D animation and you can find clips of it on UA-cam!
Jesus are Eartha Kitt & Patrick Warburton a suprisingly great comedic duo. Also I like how Kuzco isn’t portrayed as dumb, just childish & arrogant. He says things that are cleary intelligent, he just never had a need or desire to use them
I love this film’s chaotic energy. The jokes near the end like “by all accounts it doesn't make sense” just elevate it so much to legendary status for me. My friends were all about throwing in “wrong leaver!” when possible
The Disney films of the 2000s, between the Renaissance and Revival, are criminally underrated. Apparently, this film's original premise was basically the Prince and the Pauper set in the Incan Empire, with Yzma trying to blot out the sun.
the original idea was really interesting, I wish they had kept more of that in the end result, or at least made an Yzma-centric sequel or prequel exploring how she learned magic from her father.
My all-time favorite quote from this movie, with or without context: "Ah, how shall I do it? Oh, I know: I'll turn him into a flea. A harmless little flea...and then I'll put that flea in a box! And then I'll put that box inside of another box, and then I'll mail that box to myself! And when it arrives?!? AH-HA-HA-HA!!! I'll *SMASH* it with a *HAMMER* !!!" 🤣🤣
Will never get old! I got my lil sisters into this film when they were smaller (I'm 15/16 yrs older) n it was the best seeing them A. Run down the hall naked after bath time n go BOOM BABY n pose. B. The oldest would quote that line all the time hand gestures n all it was simultaneously adorable/brilliant 🤣
Oh, right. The comment. The comment for The Normies. The comment typed especially to boost engagement with The Normies' video. The Normies' comment. That comment?
Fun fact is that this movie is very well-known here in Brazil! Kuzco is voiced by actor Selton Melo and Yzma by actress Marieta Severo, two highly acclaimed actors in our country who did an excellent job adapting the movie's slang to our language! ♥
I found very interesting how this movie is so unknow outside Latinoamérica. If your a 90-2000 kid born in LATAM you watch this movie for sure. Amazing movie, great reaction.
It’s so weird listening to you guys saying you’ve either never watched or even heard of this movie, bc in Brazil (where i’m from) it’s 100% a crowd favorite! And it honestly might be because of the dubbing, bc it manages to be even funnier in portuguese. It’s definitely one of my personal favorites from my childhood!
the tv series is pretty fun, Kuzco has to graduate high school in order to rule the empire officially and makes friends his own age for once, hangs out with Pacha & the fam, evades Yzma's schemes, etc. and the "sequel" (is it really a sequel? I've never been sure) about Kronk is fun too.
Pat's brain is so interesting lol he'll fully co-sign someone being thrown out of a building to their death for messing with the groove, but the emperor being turned into a llama? He's just a victim ☠️☠️
This movie had a crazy development. It started out as a much more serious and traditional disney movie (even with a bunch of songs and stuff) but the upper management didn't like how the movie was turning out. They basically had to scrap everything they had made so far and make it into what it is now. look it up sometime, it's pretty interesting.
Kuzco just needed a positive parental figure, which he found in Pacha. Someone who was kind but also firm when he needed to be, and never gave up on Kuzco (which is the most important part).
Believe me, if your friend circles had seen this movie as a kid, they would have been talking about it so much and referencing it all the time as adults. Every single one of my friends and family who has seen The Emperor's New Groove loves it, and not one of them has a negative opinion.
I am so thankful that I got to see this in theaters when it first came out. From what I remember, despite the fact that the crowd was a bit sparse, the entire theater was erupting in laughter.
Thank you for watching this! I love this movie so much!❤ me and my sister qoute this movie all the time! It’s one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen in Disney!😂🤣
This is one my favorite Disney movies, ever! So clever, fun and unique for kids and parents to enjoy on their own levels. RIP Eartha Kitt you kicked @ss girl! The who cast is major! Kuzco is clearly fashioned behind David Spade's crazy behind in real life. Love him too! Thank y'all for reacting! Great fun!
"Some reason" is Hunchback and Pocahontas, serious epic musicals, did poorly in the first two years of its production, so they pivoted with a consultant, and then the original director left and the comedy consultant was in charge.
so weird that u guys did not heard of this, because here in Brazil it was a big hit, everyone knows it. I guess part of it is because of the dubbing, brazilian dub is awesome and is soo funny
Well good news for Markéta that the movie has in fact made it to Czechia, even back then in cinemas, and has one of the best dubs made for Disney movies there XD Maybe she'll watch it. It's definitely one of my favorites films from Disney.
If memory serves, Disney had no faith in this movie. It didn't get a huge budget, and the creators just had fun with it. Despite that it has become something of a cult classic and is pretty much their funniest animated film. And the casting is perfect!
Fun Fact: Yzma's voice actress, Eartha Kitt, is famous for her roles as Catwoman in the original 60s Batman show starring Adam West & Burt Ward. She is also the original singer of the christmas song "Santa Baby".
I have the Theory that Pacha's Wife Chicha is secretely a Witch from another dimension. And if not... then she's actually a really mean horse. Don't ask me where i got these ideas because i don't know.
Nah, the Wendie Malick role I'm convinced is Eda in an assumed role is her recurring role in the first few years of _Baywatch_ as the Hoff's ex-wife. My evidence? Her character is a "food critic" who conveniently lives in "Ohio" most of the time (convenient cover for finding stuff from all around the country to loot and explaining her disappeances in one fell swoop); a bunch of Mitch's possessions canonically disappeared after the divorce; and after the first season, the kid playing the Hoff's son was replaced (i.e. Eda took the REAL Hobie home with her and Mitch made a clone to replace him)
The Emperor's New Groove is one of the best and funniest movies ever. Eartha Kitt's performance as Yzma will never gets old, Kuzco and Pacha's relationship has grown and Kronk is so funny
🦙🦙🦙💖💖💖🤣🤣🤣
They cancelled "The Emperor's New School" because Eartha Kitt died and they couldn't think of anyone to replace her.
Yzma: does he have any idea of who he's dealing with? how could he do this to me, when I practically raised him?
Kronk: yeah you think he would have turned out better. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was an important humorous line that summed up Kuzco's character.
The cactus Yzma pours the extract of llama into turns llama shaped. It's small detail that almost no one would care about but someone took the time to do it.
In the cartoon series, the lever becomes a running gag. As everyone abuses the “not so secret lab” as Kuzco puts it for their own uses.
Best gag of the series.
A close second being "no, i did not order *side gag object* "
The looney tunes energy from this movie will make it timeless

The dichotomy of cutting from Marketa and Navi's shocked faces to Pat's laughing ass at 4:43 is.... MMM... chef's kiss. XD
I always love pointing out how the cactus plant behind Ezma when they give Kuzco the poison.....it also turns into a llama! 😄
I remember in the DVD commentary, Mark Dindal joked that they should have added a patch of llama hair growing on Kronk's shoulder

Well, the good thing is that the movie has a Czech language option on Disney Plus, so I would love to hear Marketa's opinion on that version.
