+Adriana Kuzmikova What's the problem with cheating when you've already done everything there is to do in the game? I found out about the Dark Souls 1 duplication glitch 3 trophies away from my platinum (back in 2011). I finished my platinum, made a new character and cheated my way through to a higher level and had fun destroying everything effortlessly. It was fun after 172 hours of toiling...But then I got bitched at by people that I'm a cheater and I shouldn't be allowed to play games.
This is like bitching about people using cheats in Grand Theft Auto...They're not cheats if the devs programmed these key sequences to give you these items. They give you the codes themselves, how the fuck is that cheating? Because the codes were labeled cheats? Ya, some people will CHEAT to get trophies and achievements by powering up before earning them like a real gamer. But that doesn't mean everyone that wants to "cheat" is a bad person. What is the point? To make the game less hard. There are casuals in the world, go fucking figure. Don't like it, stop paying attention to them, genius.
+Adriana Kuzmikova Other fun things? And farming is common in RPGs. Its not cheating. I like how the combat feels compared to other games, and the designs. Others like the trolling PVP mechanics. Difficulty isn't everything to evetybody, but too many make this seemingly common argument. I get sick of playing the same area over and over with no way out, but luckily I didn't buy Demon Souls and just quit. Bonfires made me enjoy Dark Souls more.
Another location for people, who have trouble here:
1. Anor Londo Bonfire, Equip your farming gear (Symbol Avarice, SSR etc)
2. Kill the 2 Silver Knights patrolling the stairs, takes about 30 seconds and it nets you 9k souls in total per run
3. Reset at bonfire

+Soulkey sbr they only give 2750 each with the SSR so you're gonna have to kill the knight on the right balcony as well

I was farming the spot I mentioned with Avarice and SSR+0 ring (didn't have Shield of Want back then), and it was 4.5k for each kill.
Even if you don't have all exp booster, I don't think it's worth to go for the Balcony knight. You need to run there then run back, or use Homeward/Coiled Sword, which means loading time.
+Tucker Walle The Silver Knights at the Anor Londo bonfire give 2500 souls with no bonuses. The Covetous Silver Serpent Ring gives 10% more souls(stacks), Symbol of Avarice 50%(stacks but multiplies base souls), Shield of Want 20%(stacks) and the Medicant's Staff 20%(stacks). So with all of these beautiful pieces of equipment on, you'd get - 5940(if my math is correct lol). I know for certain that I got 4950 souls when using everything but the Medicant's Staff.
+sdog1234 It only stacks if you have it equipped though, so the staff won't stack with the shield unless you are using both at the same time. Another easy way to farm is just kill the summoned drake knight over and over again at the Arch Peak Mausoleum, if your fast enough you can get like 8-12k souls per minute which isn't too bad.

In case anyone watching this is wondering, the slab only drops the first time you kill all three winged knights. There are only 8 slabs available on a single playthrough per character, and that's one of them.

@@TwigmasterGaming btw I just discovered that the first dragon knight summon is stronger that the others after him and he's worth more. So if you want to capitalize on that just rest at the bonfire after each kill rather than waiting for the next summon.

At Dragon Kin Mausoleum the first kill with all the farming gear equipped drops 15840 souls for me then the other ones that are summoned drop around 7480 I think.
First one summoned always drops 15840 though, seems a lot easier than killing the 3 tower guys.

NOW THAT'S A SUPPLY DROP
The infinitely respawning NPC (where the serpent sorcerer keeps spamming yellow projectiles) in the Arch Deagon Ruins gives around 5000 souls. He's really easy to kill gets resummoned every couple of seconds after he dies and is a few stels away from the bonfire. It feels like that spot was designed for grinding.
If you have the Shield of Want equipped it will give you even more souls, aswell as for the mimic chest head piece. The ring, shield and head piece all stack on each other, and you will get around 24 000 souls per angle you kill with all pieces equipped.

+carlbirger It's insane how many souls you get from these guys with the three items equipped..I appreciate your comment man, I put the three items to wear in the description as well as in annotations in the video!
So with Avarice, Medicant, Covetous Silver Serpent Ring and Shield of Want I get a little over 30,000 per kill and if you use Rapport(spell making the enemies fight each other) it makes this run way faster. It takes me only 2:30-3:00 minutes per run which is getting me a bit over 1,800,000 per hour at the moment.
Side note: you need to have Medicant in your hand when getting the souls to get the extra 5,000 souls. Luckily theres a bit of delay so you can kill an enemy and switch to your Medicant quickly.

Use a heavy weapon with good backstab and kill them yourself with rapport casted on them. Takes me about 2 minutes to do a run
you get 16k from helping defeat the boss in unattended graves. he is super easy especially with other people. just help people as a Phantom and you should get a shit ton of souls in no time

try the boss at archdragon peak, all you need to do is plunge attack it, which gives a bunch of souls (i think 75k but im probably wrong) and every enemy in the arena give about 1k per kill (and they are relatively easy to kill)

hell new game (base) nets you 31680 souls if using silver serpent and shield of want I average about 70 seconds per run so its not bad

Nice video, Though I found killing the man serpents at the Archdragon Peak bonfire a lot quicker/easier. Covetous Silver Serpent Ring, Shield of Want, Symbol of Avarice, 2900 souls per kill, 4 kills in under 30 seconds, wash rinse repeat with a shorter walk to the bonfire. They also drop large titanite shards, as well as titanite chunks, lightning gems, and respective weapons. I've cleared a mil in about 45 minutes, before selling all the items they drop.
Like I said, I found it easier this way, less involved killing so I can put on a show while I farm, and still impressive soul distribution.
Not sure if someone has already pointed this out.
At the Archdragon Peak farm point you can get behind the spawn while he is being summoned and backstab it then finish it off while it gets back up. Rinse, repeat ad nauseam.
It makes it so much faster. I timed it and on average it's around 40k souls per minute.

You can use the pyromancy rapport on the winged knights, and make them fight each other for much easier farming.
Hi - i saw at least one other comment recommending the Rapport pyromancy. I want to second this idea and elaborate:
- be sure you’ve got all your souls-increasing items and status effects equipped and active
- i approach the arch at the top of the stairs run up onto the until i can’t run anymore, then run back down the stairs and wait for them to descend. Going past the arch and on to the roof draws them down onto the roof.
- cast the Rapport pyromancy as soon as you see either or both of them, being sure to stay on the stairs. One will kill the other and (usually) whoever the victor is will have a very small sliver of health left.
- if the victor is the one under the gaze of the Rapport pyromancy, then you can approach it and finish it off. It won’t attack you. Otherwise, carefully step onto the roof, cast the Rapport spell and then finish this last one off.
- then approach the third to the left, facing the other direction, past another set of stairs with railings. Cast the Rapport pyromancy. Make sure you have enough manna! Sometimes you need to drink Aeshen estus and then cast the Rapport pyromancy. For whatever reasons, this third one seems to fall under the spell on the first cast only, let’s say, 2/3 of the times. So you might need to cast again. Again, make sure you’ve got a lot of mana. As I write this I have 30 intelligence points, though it only requires 15 intelligence points.
- grab your shards and other loot, and then use Homeward Bones to get to the last bonfire rested at to reset

using the shield of want, silver ring, and symbol of avarice will provide 80% additional souls resulting in 25740 souls per kill and if your quick enough you are able to farm 2.3 mil an hour. I have videos at vanguard of the round table page. it is hard to fund because I'm new and I don't have very many subscribers but I promise it's true

Helped a TON. Just for anyone who's wondering, with all the items mentioned, each of those enemies gives 30888 souls. So a little over 92k a run for just 3 enemies. That's REALLY quick.

At the Anor Londo bonfire, you can farm the two silver knights at the top and they drop about 12,000 each. So when you put the silver serpent ring on with the shield of want and symbol of avarice, you get a lot. And if you’re a scorcher we you can use the mendicants staff to get a little more per kill.
when he uses the second method, watch out for havel XD
If you go kill him later in that same area by the slab and then return to this spot, he won't spawn anymore for you which makes it easier to farm! Sorry for the late reply man, have an awesome day!

one of my probs with the Dark Souls games is the ridiculous amount just 1 single XP point ends up costing I mean I´m up at 340.000 souls per point on my Cheese character and it is not fun farming that much for one "lousy" XP point.. not to mention that the XP Progress don´t really seem to matter, since regardless of how much you might put in, say Stamina, most enemies will still deplete it in 2 or 3 hits even at "lvl" 160 stamina
Lol you pleb. Put away that lame ass shield. Stamina may still be depleted in 2, 3 hits but maybe you can do one roll more. Anyway stamina lvl 160 makes no sense cuz softcap on endurance is much lower.

CASUL SPOTTED xD .... bruv ... you're not supposed to just stand there with your fucking shield ... it seems like it doesn't matter but depending on your weapon slightly more stam allows you to attack more/roll more etc .. I started with my hollow slayer sword doying 4 attacks depleting my stam without being able to roll .. 10 end levels later I can do 5 attacks and rol or 6 attacks or something

Killing these holy knights with rapport is faster meaning 30k souls per run is faster
I have 2 videos showcasing a spot where you can farm souls for almost 2 million an hour. Doesn't involve fighting a fairly tough enemy however it's in an optional area. Worth checking out if this method is too difficult or not consistent enough for your current build

yeah I got alot of souls just trying to farm proofs but u musta spent a whole day to get 15 million souls
I've gotten a lot while farming souls I have 699 concords and no use and I can't even drop them for people
It's possible to get 1.75mil an hour in the archdragon peak location provided you have certain equipment and if you can kill 3 of those summoned knights a minute. Which isn't bad considering it's low risk.

I found that equipping the Covetous silver serpent ring and killing everything between the first bonfire in High Wall of Lothric and the Pus of Man you encounter after the second bonfire give you around 2000 souls. It's a bit arduous, and it takes 7-10 minutes depending on how much I rush it, but for me it was _very_ useful when I was leveling up to face Vordt.

adam caissie Uh, the Silver Knights by Anor Londo or the area right before Anor Londo would be a nice place for souls and shards if you have already killed Pontiff! I need to do a video over that spot, it's a pretty good spot for mid-game farming to be honest. If you killed Dancer before doing Pontiff, then you could go ahead and take out two optional bosses, Oceiros and Ancient Wyvern for a good amount of souls! (:

If anyone still cares, the Slumbering Dragoncrest ring (which silences your footsteps and is IMO one of the most convenient and useful stealth rings in the entire game) you can get from Orbeck helps massively--- you can stand at the doorway in front of the stairs and wait until the Twin Axe angel turns around and sees you. Once it starts chasing you (you don't need to worry about the Halberd angel in front of the doorway, it hasn't heard your footsteps and thus isn't aggro'd, though throwing a knife at the Axe angel _would_ draw its attention), run down the stairs and backstab it until it's dead. You can then backstab the Halberd angel in front of the doorway and deal with it, too, and as long as you don't let it get in front of the other Halberd angel near the entrance of the tower (easily accomplished by luring it to the other side of the roof), you're pretty much safe from that last angel, which you can now safely deal with now that the other two are dead.
Two other rings that you can get further down the line also help massively: the Hornet Ring guarded by the Black Knights at the Untended Graves increases the potency of your critical attacks, and if you own the Ringed City DLC, then even at NG+0, you can get the Covetous Silver Serpent+3 at the Dreg Heap.

Also if you get the symbol of avarice wich has a 100% drop chance at killing every mimic int he game or you can farm one with undead hunter charms until it drops it, anyways, that and the shield of want+mendicants staff in left hand GREATLY increases that soul drop friend, all those items i mentioned increases soul drop, and ringed city has a silver serpetus ring+ wich increases it further
Nice new places to try farming! I had some interesting places I found myself earlier in the game, such as the random darkwraith not too far from farron keep's bonfire that is worth 2500 souls on his own. Then there's a fire witch in Irithyll near the old church bonfire that you can drop down on a lot very quickly. Finally, my most recent place is the first bonfire in Archdragon's peak where there are the four lizard men. I can kill them in about 30 seconds with one of the dragonslayer spears and their soul total is a little over 12,000. I farmed for a bit and timed it out; one can get 300,000 souls every 20 min, assuming you have the silver snake ring, the shield of want, and the head of avarice!
Or you can farm the guy with darkset basicly udner the campfire in high wall of lothric just get the key
Idk if anyone still plays this game. But the second method can give 900,000 roughly in 20 minutes with silver +3, shield of want, mendicants staff and symbol. Just after you kill him switch to the staff/ shield as both need to be on hand when getting souls. And rest after each kill for max souls cause it does go down after the first kill
Another good area is in Archdragon Peak, at the Dragon-Kin Mausoleum bonfire. The summoner serpent in there summons an Drakeblood Knight (or Havel, depending on certain conditions) over and over again. Each time you kill one, it summons another, you can stand behind them when they're spawning and backstab them as they spawn in the same place providing you stay at the bottom of the stairs. Drop them each time pretty quick and net yourself like 7,000 souls or so in NG. Its right next to the bonfire, too.
+James Pellegrom Yeah man, it is a great spot! I go there for the second farming method at around 7:08 or so...but I usually go there if I just need a few souls because like you said, pretty quick and easy farming!
Farming the summoned knight at archdragons peak with the Symbol of Avarice, Silver Serpent Ring, Covetous Gold Serpent Ring(can receive estus flasks meaning you stay from bonfire longer) and the Sheild of want you can farm roughly 1,300 000 souls per hour, stand behind backstab repeat. Just watch your health since it will be decaying with the Symbol of Avarice
By far the best and easiest low risk spot (much lower than one in video) is Ringed Inner Wall. When you spawn, go forward through the door into the room where the enemy is hidden on left in the corner. Proceed to the stairs curving down to the right. Enemy drops from above. Run down steps, sleeping enemy. Continue out the door, enemy facing away looking over balcony and enemy drops behind immediately after you swing. I use a katana (weapon of choice) and slice each one in two hits before they ever even attack. I never take even one hit. The last segment is to continue right. Move around the corner where the map opens a little but dont go but maybe 2-3 steps, turn around, and hide behind the wall you just came from. A ringed knight comes up the steps and stands still facing away. I use spook to backstab, then slice him up 4 hits or so does the trick. If you're sloppy he can kill you, but the reason again this spot is so safe is because its super easy to pick up your souls if you happen to die to the knight since his back is turned. After the knight, enemy behind where he stood around the wall behind him. then drop down on steps to 1-shot enemy there. One more in the corner drops from above.
Summary:
Enemies:
Ring City Hollow - 8 (hollow gem, lightning gem, dung)
Ring Knight -1 (titanite chunk, titanite scale, ember, insane looking armor and sword)
The knight actually drops scale pretty frequent, if u equip covetous gold +3 id say 1:4,1:5 ish, also a decent amount of embers
Souls:
I'm only on new game but with covetous silver +3 and symbol of avarice (mimic chest helm) I get 32k each run which takes 90 seconds. The risk is almost zero. Insane farm with actual useful loot as well.
You can do the winged knight method a bit faster, or rather less hectic, by investing just a lil bit into pyromancy and using the Rapport spell

Just for anyone wondering you only get the titanite slab the first time you kill them all in one go
BTW: you can backstab the guy in archdragon peak right as he spawns in
equip heavy weapon (anything that gets you a one shot kill) shield of want, equip covetous serpent ring, go to grand archives and go through killing all the candlemen, little sword guys and gargoyles outside it takes me about 6-8 minutes and I get right around 8-10k per each kill rinse repeat.
You can get 48k just by clearing out the thralls and wax heads in the grand archives fron the start all the way up to the big room on top. By this point in the game you have a weapon that can 1 shot some of them, while the others require 2 or 3 depending on your weapon.
I done the silver knights at anor londo for a long time until I figured that out.
Symbol of Avarice + Shield of Want + Covetous Silver Serpent Ring. Start at the archives bonfire and just run all the way through the archives all the way to the lothric knight at the very top. Each run from bottom to top nets me around 100,000 souls and takes about 6 to 8 minutes to complete. Best of all it's mostly thralls and candle mages, so each enemy goes down in a hit or two. Fast and very safe. If you have the coiled sword fragment you can warp back down to start over instead of having to walk down and take the elevator back to the bonfire.

Good farming strat, also equip the symbol of Avarice (mimic helm) and the shield of want as these both increase the souls dropped and you can get over 23000 per guy atop the roof.

You can also switch to the mimic hat before killing the creatures for gold farming, you take some damage over time, but you end up geting some ridiculous bonus on soul and drops, I think it doubles the item discovery (+100 or something) and you get like 40-50% more souls (not sure on the numbers) try it!

you could make this faster by equiping the shield of want in your offhand, which also increases your souls, if you have the health for it, the symbol of avarice stacks with the shield and the ring. with all three the souls gained is around 20,000 per.

I farm those same three winged knights when I need quick souls...but you know, it's much easier to kill them if you use Rapport (as are most knights). I typically charm the double axe knight as soon as they drop down, and swap to shield of want while he and halbrid knight 1 fight to the death...then I pick off the winner, and charm the third knight who just stands there and lets me kill him. And with shield of want, medicant's staff, symbol of avarice and silver serpent ring all equipped you'll get around 33000 souls from each, which is 99k a run! Adds up quick.

If you want to do it faster i would recommend upgrading the dagger to +10 and infusing it with either a gem for your build or the chaos gem and then backstabbing them. It goes a little bit faster since the dagger does bonus crit damage
You can use the Covetous silver serpent ring + the Mimic Head and kill the two knights by the Anor Lando Bonfire over and over. Around 8000 souls in your first playthrough per knight and around 12000 per knight in new game plus.
dont forget the shield of want too!

I found out something. I did a few tests with the serpent ring and the shield of want, for example i did a test with just the shield and no ring. The average i got when i farmed in the irithyll of the boreal valley was 4560 souls with just the shield. With the shield and ring i got 5016 souls, so 456 souls more are given when the ring is added. Keep in mind i only tested this on the potniff knights and the deacon priests. The next test i did on the priests with just the shield i got an average of 1080 souls, with the shield and ring i got 1188 souls, so 108 more souls are added with the ring. The last test i did with just the potniff knights was with no shield and no ring, the average i got was 900 souls, with just the ring i got 990 souls, so 90 more souls are added with just the ring. These are the numbers i got when farming there, but the numbers vary in diferent locations but i only tested this in that area.
If you guys want an even easier way to farm souls, just go to archdragon peak (2nd bonfire) and farm the knights that the mage spawns right by the bonfire. Use the serpent ring, shield of want, and the mimic chest headpice, and you will get 8k souls souls each. It takes around 30 seconds to repeat and clear one of these.

If you equip the shield of want as well it will give you more souls too. I'm sure most everyone on here knows this but for those of you who didn't try coupling that with the silver serpent ring and you'll receive even more souls for ever kill
You can farm up to 90k per run. if you have Mendicant's Staff, Shield of Want, Covetous Silver Serpent Ring and Symbol of Avarice equipped.
A simple setup consists of Rapport (Pyromancy), your preferred sorcery and Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring.
Before going up the stairs to trigger the Ascended Wing Knights, equip Symbol of Avarice. Walk forward until the knights jump down, then walk back to the staircase. When you see the Twinaxe Knight walk to your left, get close enough to cast Rapport. Switch to your Mendicant's staff to maximize the amount of souls you collect from the first knight's death. From here just Rapport the last knights and kill them with your preferred sorcery (one at a time). Coiled Sword Fragment back to your last bonfire.
Once you've gotten used to the it, it shouldn't take more than a couple minutes per run.
