It's all good you're having PS2 games collections in this year. It's my wish to have my own but the new generation comes so I guess I have to move on. But I know that PS2 has some awesome games.
Games i recommend. •Scarface (has a gta type feel. ahead of its time) •Matrix: Path of neo (beautiful game, gameplay is awesome. ahead of its time.) •Spiderman 2 (why not) •Nba ballers: phenom (open world story basketball. so underrated omg). • Shadow of the Colossus (aka the best ps2 game) •Dark Cloud 2 ( u dont have to play 1)
Heard and have seen shadow of colossus in my local store but I’m so tied up with my current games it’s hard for me to justify rushing to buy it and… did u say open world basketball!! Yea I will definitely give that a shout.

Download the library, emulate, don't forget to increase internal resolution. All the classics in HD. Whilst I don't think I'll sell my collection, I can't see why I would choose original hardware over emulation.
Yea honestly I’m not too savvy with emulating I always end up messing up somewhere and they never work, plus I enjoy changing the disc and playing my physical games(kinda ego based)lol
Old games emulation has been saving my sanity for a while now, currently building a separate pc for emualtion to connect it to a crt tv to make playing older games even better.
I would love to have a mix of both personally. Emulate the games I can afford and buy the ones I do like and can afford. I tried playing on my TV but personally the Monitor is Elite
Back in PS2 days there were like 50 really great games that came out every year and in this generation maybe 2-3 games a year i’m digging. Nostalgia also makes older consoles even better than they were back then at least for me. Outside of Tekken 8 i’m mostly playing older games from 80’s, 90’s, and early 00’s
Yeah, I'll watch live streaming. Turned based RPGs are what I grew up playing, going all the way back to the original Dragon Quest in 1989. I've got nothing but free time now that my health issues have prohibited me from working. On a positive note, I'm now able to clear some backlog from the PS3 and Xbox 360 era

Good for you bro ! Do it . I’m going back to ps2 and then getting a cheap Japanese Dreamcast off eBay … gonna play some old stuff … this modern stuff is not working out anymore , for multiple reasons ….
if youre into racing games, I fully recommend all the tokyo xtreme racer games on ps2 ( zero, 3, drift 2) if youre into unique games with unique story telling, try the Way of the samurai games. 1 and 2 are on pc for any action games, try tenchu wrath of heaven, or shinobi

I actually love this question. As a college student with a job it’s tough brother the feeling of due dates and hardwork always on the back of my mind. My days off on weekends I have plenty of time to indulge in my fav ps2 games!
been collecting xbox 360 games to get my childhood collection back. alot of 00s games are hard to play on pc legally without emulating or ransomware, and the xbox emulator is trash. so ill stick with ps2 emulation for money sake bu till pay money for old xbox products
If you want story there's so many good games from Rockstar. GTA and the stories games Red Dead Revolver Max Payne Manhunt and some more obscure titles like Smugglers Run.
Honestly I was eyeballing a PS2 console but wanted to try an emulator just for fun and now I downloaded about 20GB's of games lmao. I'll buy the console eventually just to have it, but I don't see any reason for me to go back to pretending I don't care if the game loads so it loads faster.
There's no doubt it's great playing on the original hardware, but emulation is on a different level. You can play PS2 games at 4K and even install 60FPS patches.
Ive been downloading PS2 and PS3 Roms and burning them to discs for years for emulation buying them is just to expensive and if you do have a PS2 its super easy to soft mod to play back ups of a hdd
So why don't you just stop playing western aaa titles? Helldivers 2, persona 3 reload, enshrouded, prince of Persia the Lost Crown, mark of the ninja, etc. So many great AA, indie and Japanese games out now
Yes. Indie games are like older games, but with modern graphics and sound. Hollow Knight, Alienation, Nex Machina, Risk of Rain, Dead Cells, Caladrius Blaze, Danmaku Unlimited 3, Ruiner.. and the best game yet Rocket League
