    Amazing !!! Hi Dennis. Doing the End the anxiety program. You say to reframe trauma we need to have an image cycle of what we would have instead liked to have seen, heard and felt in that moment but when someone young suddenly passed away and that was the trauma how to change that? What to visualise ? that the person is still there? But the brain knows it is not true. Please guide how to go about it.

    I’m trying hard. I’ve always had anxiety but never had health anxiety until the last few months, and it’s been crippling. Staying at home all day. Sleeping a lot. Been tested and told I’m healthy but then something comes up- a twitch in my head, a headache, a random pain, and then it doesn’t end. I pray for strength and I pray that you also find peace in your heart and soul. It’s amazing how it snowballs and these videos do help, but it’s just tough sometimes. The never ending worry. The over reaction of any symptom and googling / searching. I’m working so hard at acceptance. Please pray for me that I can overcome this and break this cycle

    Is it the case that our need to react to symptoms is more of a problem than the symptoms? Crazy when you realise that our over-sensitivity and imagination which jumps to worse case scenarios is what reinforces the very thing we are trying to rid ourselves of ( ie anxiety).

    I have found that accepting however I am feeling is simple but not easy but very effective when I can do it. My problem is responding to the beginning of anxiety and trying to control it , get rid of it is really the problem. Accepting it at the time takes a lot of the power out of it.

    I have been told that I have a chemical imbalance and need to take meds my whole life! I started getting attacks at 9 yrs old! I will be 52 this month! I am definitely going to get off meds on my healing journey ! Thanks again, Dennis!❤️🙏🏼

    • @Sun.Sand.Sea.8
      @Sun.Sand.Sea.8 2 роки тому +1

      That’s what one doc told me, some people have that chemical imbalance and their body needs help with meds, like others that have diabetes or take meds for their heart or high blood pressure. I took meds for many years but was still dealing with anxiety. I wanted to prove to myself that I can function without daily meds as I didn’t believe that I need meds every day. I finally managed to wean off the meds two years ago. I still feel anxious sometimes and when I have a bodily response that is too strong to manage on my own, then I do take a calming pill. And I do EFT which helps a lot. Just be patient with yourself and have lots of compassion.

    • @angelamartin7885
      @angelamartin7885 2 роки тому +7

      There is no such a thing as a chemical imbalance. Anxiety is fear and worry based. Too much worry and what you tell your amygdala there is danger. The best thing to do with mind chatter, is to not argue with your thoughts. They're only thoughts. Observe the thoughts and let it go. This is a practice because most people have made it a habit to believe and argue with their thoughts. When you react fearfully to a thought, your amygdala attaches it as dangerous. Just like it does to people, places, things and thoughts. It's a cycle, until you stop reacting to a thought, that brings on a symptom or attack. It doesn't work immediately. You have to retrain your brain on how you react. You have to show your brain, that it's not dangerous. The amygdala controls the involuntary part of your nervous system, which is in charge of emotions. Anxiety and depression can be treated by not believing or arguing with thoughts. If you get triggered, then watch how you react. I use the words, ride the wave or Let it be. Avoid using words that tell the nervous system their is danger. Takes time to calm down the brain and heal the nervous system. Amygdala is a machine. It doesn't understand words. It understands memory and actions.

    • @AlbaLynxQueen
      @AlbaLynxQueen Рік тому

      Be very careful. You've been taking meds for your whole life. Your body is dependant. Most likely you will have terrible withdrawal and won't be able to come off the drugs.

      Get it checked, all clear? Focus your attention on the emotional causes of the physical sensations, it’s a transition and it’s necessary. The only reason you go back to thinking catastrophically about your anxiety symptoms is because it makes you feel protected to worry and fret over them, once you trust this dissipates.
