If you have a menards around they have a 3 pack pry bar set for 20. They are rebranded Wilde pry bars, literally the same, same factory, same quality, different color.
Not too long ago you could get the Quinn 3/8 ratchet for under $20. Unfortunately those days are over. It makes these coupons a little less meaningful when the item prices are increasing but the coupon price restriction does not.
Yeah. I've had to hustle to get deals on the Quinn ratchets. So far I've lucked out finding the 1/4 and 3/8 in the clearances/return section. Once you warranty they're "new" anyway. And the store is in walking distance. They don't like me wearing my snap on and mac tool shirts in their store though😂.
Used the 30% ITC discount today on 1) Icon 8" needle-nose pliers, 2) Icon 10" pistol-grip pliers, 3) 3M hard hat, and 4) one more US General Mini Toolbox (happily discovered these are back in stock again at my HF but going fast, only had a few red ones left).
Those tool boxes are awesome I picked up 2 red ones. Also I loaded up my cart full of items. And I upgraded to the pro account. It only costed me $6 more for the whole year because of that deal
I convinced my dad to go into HF today. He picked up a 4 pack of adjustable wrenches. Not related to the coupon: My local store hasn’t had the extendable 1/2 ratchet in stock since the sale on it started. The app says that they are in stock, but the store hasn’t actually had any. And my local associates are unhelpful. Only telling me to check back the next day.
I picked up a bunch of the voyager totes and bags today. Got the $10 Pitt calipers. The register applied the 30% off to more than it was supposed to. I bet it would pretty much do your whole your whole cart. Maybe that just a Friday “glitch” bonus. They did that last time too. Might go back tomorrow and pick up the wood chisels and o-ring kits.
The handles feel really weird to me and uncomfortable to hold...I prefer the Doyle Pliers....everything else like ratchets and breaker bars, Icon's got some great ones if you can afford them, but I have to say even the Pittsburgh stuff ain't that bad. Just yesterday there was a guy that came in that broke an Icon gear wrench, brought it in, the cashier says go down the isle and grab another set, they popped the set open cashier gave the guy a new wrench and out the door he went....What I wish was that they'd offer single wrenches, sockets, etc....just for cases like that as well as for all the sets they love to skip sizes in.
If you're into painting. The replacement disposable paint cups for $7 after discount is a fantastic deal. If you were to buy a 50 count box(which is what is typically offered) I'd us over $50
I got some of those 3.99 screwdriver sets as gifts, they seemed to be appreciated. The Icon pliers got absolutely wiped out was hoping to get a normal length needle nose but went with the bulkier Quinn instead, have to complain they don't close 100% flush definitely not as finely machined as ICON pliers, however they will work the same for 99% of the stuff you use pliers for. Not sure if I missed it in the video but picked up the ICON mini screwdriver set with some other stuff today, if you are an ICON fanboy it's a good item to use the 30% coupon on.
I just got back from HF and they came out with a new Pitts T-handle set with Metric and SAE in one. I almost got the Gordon exacto-blade kit and that is a good looking kit.
It would be a game changer if it were $25 and not stopping at $20. Lots of the good pliers screwdrivers and other general tools are in the 22.99 24.99 area.
I was hoping they'd have a coupon for 10-15 percent off anything, was thinking of getting the bottom chest for my 27" top box, I like it better than the Husky one I have....I'll sell the Husky box once I get the bottom chest LOL. I've been thinking of picking up some of the Icon pliers. Eventually get the whole set at some point by doing that LOL.
@@thetank2078 That would be great, I'm working on cleaning out the shed this weekend to finally start organizing stuff, so by next weekend if they do have that sale I'll be ready LOL. Eventually I'll get a larger tool chest combo to replace my old, over-stuffed 44" combo, but the smaller 27" combo will work to clean up the tools being scattered around due to lack of storage until then. IDK, they have so many options anymore with these tool chests I could fill a whole wall with tool chests in a built out LOL.
I catch the 20% off a single item by asking about it when I'm in the store. Sometimes they will say... Not today... it starts Friday and goes thru Sunday. ...and 20% off a single item used to be much more common than it is today and not as well advertised as it used to be.
Can you please share the exact website you use for the Home Depot and Lowe’s coupons? I’ve tried every combination of what you are saying and I cannot find the website you are using.
I have a Braun light and it is a waste of money. I use the magnetic light as a paper towel holder since it doesn’t hold a charge more than 0.7 sexconds.
I did a complete engine & transmission swap on a mid 80's chevy van, for my mom... I had to take the front clip off the van... after I was done I had about 8-10 extra bolts... for the life of me I couldn't figure out where they went?.. Long story short... My mom was involved in a front end accident & the van was still driveable the other vehicle was toast... so the bolts weren't needed... Hindsight tells me my older brother probably was messing with me & added bolts to the container I had them in...
I used to love Harbor Freight and still use several of their tools I purchased over 20 years ago. But their prices have gone up so much that you are better off just buying the name brand tools at the big orange store for a few bucks more.
This is very true. Gone are the huge values and sales that Harbor Freight used to have....their coupons have dwindled to just about nothing, and like right now they have coupons for stuff but only if its less than $20...who cares...I want coupons I can use on anything in the store, on stuff that people actually want to buy....then the other problem, they can't seem to order enough of anything to have stuff in stock when they do have a sale. Like those mini tool boxes that everybody wanted and most stores haven't had any in stock since like the first 5 minutes on black friday LOL.
You are correct about the pricing, but you don't seem to take into account the quality has gone up substantially. They have three tiers for a reason. Pittsburgh is still very cheap but has increased in quality, while Quinn is the go-to if you want the best balance between quality and price, even compared to kobalt and husky. Icon is actually very nice stuff, and priced accordingly. If you're trying to beat big box prices, icon is not for you, but Quinn and Pittsburgh still are.
Personally I couldn’t be happier with harbor freight the Icon line is excellent but even though the prices have gone up a bit the quality levels have gone up more than the prices IMO
There are a few items (very few) that this is true for, but for 95% of stuff this isn’t the case. Harbor freight’s business is exploding compared to Home Depot and others, with increases in foot traffic over 7 times higher than foot traffic increases over the rest of the home improvement sector. Most deal videos that you watch on UA-cam where people go to Home Depot and Lowe’s, the common theme is they’re not being able to sell their items, they’ve got massive quantities of unsold inventory. The main comment you see from people down below is they’ve abandoned them to come to harbor freight instead for their insanely better pricing and lifetime warranties. Home Depot and Lowe’s etc can’t compete anymore with their terrible pricing in this economy.
I always go right to the "open-box" section of the store all the way in the back of the store. You can get some real good deals on open box or socket sets were it is missing 1 socket and they are always marked down. I am in the market for extra long locking flex head ratchets. ICON is releasing them some point in 2025, but Capri has a 3 piece set on sale right now for $169. I am not sure if you buy all 3 sizes separately from ICON if it will be more, less, or around the same price. I asked a worker if he had any idea when the new ICON ratchets are coming out and he said he had no idea and he did not even know what I was talking about. LOL - I said the ones that were at the Harbor Freight booth at SEMA man. 😆 As far as flashlights, I prefer my Braun over my ICON foldable flashlight. I did but the ICON just because it was ICON, but I really never reach for it when looking for a magnet flashlight to stick to the hood of a car. The Braun just works better and folds in more directions then the damn ICON
A lot if the Chevy Vehicles have E-torque bolts that hold the seats in... if you are taking the seats out of say a Silverado truck you need 2 different sizes of them... I think E15 & E20?...
It’s a coupon upc that has to be scanned by the cashier to be applied, it isn’t automatic. You should be prepared to need to remind them to scan their coupons for these sales.

That one section wasn't clearance, but was pretty clearly labeled as Open Box items. The 30% off works on clearance, but not Open Box.

Every Icon handtool under 20
