Would the Olympus lens be sharper when cropping the image from the Sony lens to match the angle of view?
I think when discussing the 60 mm olympus vs the 90 mm Sony it might be a good idea to point out the equivalent image from the olympus will be at double the working distance with the increased depth of field of the m4/3 system. Comparing 1:1 on different sensor sizes does not yield the same image. I'm glad you put up a shot of the images, but without that people might think the sony 90mm just gives you more working distance for a similar image. This 90 mm OM systems lens is a cool lens for sure, but it feels like there is some smoke and mirrors to make the lens sound much better than the 60mm. I think most people are more interested in the working distance to get the image they want and are less concerned if they are truly at 1:1 magnification.
With the manual focus clutch I know on older olympus cameras you can disengage the clutch so it is always in autofocus, but can you now set it so it is always in manual focus? Maybe a new feature on the OM-1?
@10:33 I thought the TG-6 can get to 7x reproduction full frame equivalent, which is great than the 4x of the Oly 90mm macro.
Were you be able zoom in more at this stage with the TG-6?
TG-6 has up to 4x optical zoom. The additional level is just a digital crop.
I'm happy with the 30mm & 90mm.
I would love to see some images with that lens as I am thinking of switching from Nikon Z to OM as it seams to be a great small system

15:03 Look at his grin! He knows that probably no housing manufacturer is going to take that risky investment.
More like I'm really hoping they listen! :)
