They listened to the community at the very least.
They never wanted to add modern vehicles with those top sekrit documents. It ended up being political and even causes national security. Here we are now suffering the consequences of those actions.
They don't want to add battleships because it's slow, bulky and boring. Here we are now with Naval Forces that has a super realistic aiming system that goes in an arc manner which is boring to play compared to World of Warships.
World of Tanks copied War Thunder's open garage to compete with them and even added wheeled tanks.
War Thunder retaliated by also offering paper/blue print vehicles. They've added april fool fictional vehicles so why not that as well? In the end its all business. If people wanted it then the cash flows in.
The Panther II's hull was completed. So technically it's not a 'paper tank'. They shouldn't have removed it especially since the E-100 exists in the game.

Playing the Panther 2 is a good thing because it can drive up popularity for it to come back
They won't add something back that's redundant to the Tech Tree of copy pasted vehicles with only minor improvement. It's been removed for that sole reason and those who has it is permanently as collectibles.

I've played other rank/tier based vehicle games and have played multiple F2P games.
In terms of game design your goal is to grind and with countless of vehicles in War Thunder they're reducing few vehicles to rank up to the highest tier.
Adding experimental tanks when there's dozen of popular tanks putted into the tech tree makes compared to putting them back in as a gatekeeper to modern tanks.
IT wasn't an issue when there wasn't any MBTs in this game but now there is and things like this has to go.

The Panther II is leaps and bounds ahead of every other Panther. I dont know how you don't understand that.
They could've put a 75mm on this thing and I wouldn't complain, a panther with a reverse gear is strong as hell.
But this one here is more unique, sorry.
They should really add a “historically accurate” with the better hull, engine and transmission but the Panther G turret.
They removed this while i was in the Army and we had a month long training rotation and i missed out on getting this, the 341, and Tiger 2 105 while we were away. Still salty about it to this day and really hope they bring them back for people like me who barely missed out

@ihatetheantichrist1012 problem not a problem I got them both just didn't get the coelian because back then I didn't care about spaa only thing that grinds my gears is seeing a us t30. I was 10 points off from getting it and was in a match to get the last bit and the event ended as I was in the match

I also have all 4 of them. They were a nice couple at 6.7 until they broke up.
They are still great, especially the Tiger 2 105mm. I'm currently playing German 7.0 BR for fun with Tiger 2 105mm, Panther 2 and Jagdtiger. It's my favorite br in the German tt

@@Tien-Chi False, the tiger 2 105 would be literally impossible to build in the form we have it.
War Thunder has a lot of Prototype Vehicles, a lot of them never saw service, or for example the Kronshstadt, which is completely made up (it's a Russian ship of course 💢😡)
So bringing back those would be cool for everyone and I can't imagine anyone would complain about this.
A friend of mine was grinding The russian tech tree and begged me to play ground realistic with him to help as back then german and russian could rarely find realistic matches together, so after researching the Panther II I took a hiatus from the german tree for about two months to help him out, and the Tiger II 10.5 KwK and Coellian had been removed. Such is life, and I'm still glad i could help my friend, but it's a shame they won't bring them back even in some sort of event or something like they do with the mouse, because they are objectively the three best vehicles that germany has at that br.

For those saying they should bring these two back, I would agree if they were made to the proper concept models. Even though the Tiger 2(105) was more of a suggestion than a planned about blueprint. A larger turret to make the huge 105 breach actually fit in the standard Tiger 2 turret would make it unique. The current Tiger 2(105) has a 88 breach model instead of the 105 cause it literally was too large for the standard Tiger 2 turret model. For the Panther 2 the current model is not even the correct model the Germans had planned out. Having the G model turret still and the 75 still instead of the 88. It would also have increased frontal armor and a better engine. The actual turret upgrades are unknown as the F model turret was not designed for the Panther 2. Making the accurate models and adding them in game would be nice and make more sense than the models already in game, but y’all would be disappointed and complain it’s not the older inaccurate stronger versions.
The panther G turret wasnt meant for the panther 2 either, the americans installed it as the germans only ever produced a hull, not a turret.

I absolutely love my Panther II and Tiger 105, just came back to the game after 5 years of not playing and was lucky enough to have put some RP into them, Coelian and the Maus before they were removed. Of all the tanks and nations I play the Panther II and Tiger 105 are my main tanks

Flakpanzer 341 should come back, for a 6.0 loadout
I agree the 341 should return at the very least. Current SPAA tree goes from 5.3 > 7.0 with nothing to bridge the gap from the Ostwind II and Kugelblitz. Which more often than not means I gotta rock the Ostwind II at tiers far higher, especially when I play my Tiger II or any 6.3-6.7 lineup. I say bring it back.
My friend gives me crap every time I see one in game because I never researched it when I could've. It would be a great act of community goodwill to offer it again, and I appreciate your advocating for it. Gaijin still needs to learn the value of social capital.
I like your showcasing of it, and I think it could be interesting during your commentary to talk about what surprised you with the vehicle, how you thought it would play vs. how you want to play it, what it's best suited for in your opinion; things of that nature. That could help the ease of your concern in showing kill streaks.

Yep, gotem too back in the day, the entire og lineup of Panther 2, Tiger 2 10.5cm, Maus and Coelian though i never researched the Coelian completely 😂 Sometimes i take this lineup out to show the newbies how cool these things look, i know Gaijin & neckbeards like to debate that these things never went into production, but i dont care they look & play awesome and they should give the opportunity to newer players to get them, though they are more often than not the underdog because of heat & APFSDS especially with the Maus.
And I notice that no "target destroyed" text when I kick someones butt at the last minute of a match. If you destroy someone as match is ending, i dont think it is recognised, but I enjoy getting final blow

Gaijin refuses to bring back the Flakpanzer 341, Tiger 105, and Panther II knowing damn well that the Kugelblitz sits by itself at its own BR, making it only useful if you actually have a lineup of the removed vehicles. They might as well remove the Kugelblitz right now because of how useless it is.

You also didn’t really show the night vision fully. The thing on the top of the tank is an IR spotlight.
My headcanon as to why the panther ii was removed from WT was because allied bombers destroyed the production factories before too many got out before it did 😂
Also surprised they even bring back the E100 seeing how it was never actually made/put together they only had a hull no tracks on it nothing but a prototype hull and that really isn't even the actual tank its a prototype that was never even finished. There is quite a bit of tanks that were prototypes and we still haven't seen them in WT yet and actual finished prototypes none the less.
I think you misunderstood they did start production on the panther f but the panther 2 was still just on paper
The more I think about it the more I agree with my self on the fact it was a terrible idea to remove them, yes there not historically accurate but the plans, details prototypes, blueprints where there. #BRING THEM BACK

the type of night vision is active infrared .. the system was driver and gunner sights .. it was more efficient with 1-2 trucks with the same system on the top later..
as for the tank.. is amazing that the panter F and panther 2 turret .. even that seems the same .. if you shot the panther 2 frontal .. you get no pen.. and if you shot the panther F you pen .. with the same tank same shell.. gaijin may mess up that a little.....

My top most wanted vehicle, I lost my previous account that was one or two away from the panther 2 and then came back to the game on console a year or so after they were removed. Gaijin please for the love of god bring it back for an anniversary or something.

It doesnt have better mobility, at the most its a sidegrade mobility wise. it has slightly better acceleration but loses like 4 times as much speed in a turn compared to a pershing

Why did they make maus the one to come back? One of the most BORING vehicles to fight. I got in a fighter with someone using this Panther II and I was thrown off by the turret and NVD. Dude was on a hill so I had no chance but it was a learning experience. I know they're rare now but if you fight one of these, prioritise this thing cause it will kick you butt
Because of pop culture, the Maus is just so notorious that they had to + it was the most complete out of them.

10.5 tiger at 7.0? its either gonna overpen or nto pen at all!
I can happily report that its fine. Strong as wever. Then pen is not much bigger than on the 88 but oh boy the havoc it causes once it goes off in something is still magnificent. But yeah russian 7.0+ is a problem.
I hated that patch. I liked it, but only in 6.7 matches and not 7.0 or 7.3. There already is plenty stuff that lolpens it at 6.7...

I would support the introduction in the game of any "paper vehicle".
Basically if a project/blueprint exist it should be added.
This because Italy 🇮🇹 made a project for a super heavy tank.
Panther 2 is way better then A,G,F models. faster reverse speed, better top speed with new engine and trans, plus a lower visibility, only down side is a slower turret speed. if the Germans had got this right. it would been a game changer on the battlefield. I still havent spadd this Panther II or the " 3.7 cm Flakzwilling auf Panther Fahrgestell" Flankpanzer Coelian(341) names changed so many times, and the Tiger II 10.5cm they were researched and that was it ad every now and then I play a game in them and now that Gaijin made it a tiny bit better at this BR maybe is the time to finish spading them up.

How about the French Fw190 that we got the N.C. 900 I think it was like 2016 or 17 you don't see them to often either. Even the German C200 and C202 series of planes(Italy but are still in German line) those are rarely seen and I do fly the every now and then same with Bf109 G2 premium plane also the German La-5Fn they took away a little bit ago I don't see much either an Russian P-39Q-15 Airacobra way back and don't see now or P-63C-5 Kingcobra from 2016 event that I haven't seen in years. I wish i didnt miss the Ersatz M-10

Khronstadt was basically only a few sheets of steel when they canceld the building process
They had plans to remove the R2Y2s too, but they needed some sort of "replacement" for them. Not sure if they still have plans for that or they've just given up on that.

Did you ever noticed that you can use tanks twice a match ? Why you leave after one death ? I hate such clowns to be honest , sure you want to show us one specific tank . But you can use it twice !
WT matches are carried by a handfull of decent or good players , the majority are just noobs . So one less good player can mean a lost match .

All of ussr top tier naval is fake most of them only got the keel landed down and never finished also there are several fake never built tanks still in game in trees that can't be removed without killing the tree line
@AllahWarrior also the panther 2 and tiger 2 105 were built the gun was never mounted but the hull was built. Also there is a Germany 7.7 line up in tree only the maus and e100 are 7.7 which I have both. Also I hope I see you in a match to rub it in your face as I pass you in my panther 2 and tiger 2 105 😅
