I don’t mind the wind noise a bit. It’s always a pleasure to watch you cutting wood.. please keep them again. Please keep them coming. always a pleasure. Thanks so much. Best regards FRED THOMAS
Keep them coming man!!! Looking forward to seeing the drive belt change video. I haven’t got that many hours on my LT35 yet but the time will come soon enough!
When we ordered our LT35 3 years ago I started watching your videos. Even though sometimes “silence is golden” folks can still learn just by watching. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! I get a lot of good feedback about my explanations I usually have. I thought about doing a voiceover but once edited, I didn’t feel it needed it.
That milling the 2nd log, 1/4 turn at a time made more sense. So many mill owners do a 180 flip which takes more time in the overall process. Nicely done.
Well Jason in spite of the crappy working conditions you persisted and got the job done, kudos! I always enjoy your milling videos with or without sound. Thank you for sharing.
This is cool. I imagine this is just what it's like as you are sawing. The engine running, hum of the saw blade, and the thump of the lumber as it is being moved. Then the crescendo of silence in between maneuvers. Double thumbs up!
You have inspired me to start my own business of making 6x6 mailbox posts with XL mailboxes and shadow numbers on the posts. Selling like hotcakes!! Thanks!
As usual an excellent video Weather has been crazy here in PEI Canada yesterday it was 50 and heavy rain Today it’s 10 and windy Keep up the good work we watch every one 👍
Snowing here right now in the lower Willamette…I can imagine what it’s like at your place! Boy, you were maxing out the mill that day (great shot of it at 19:17). This past week has been such bizarre weather, I can appreciate your bypassing the narration for this video. Much more rain on your loading hill, and you may have to gravel it…looked kind of dangerous when you were removing offcuts from the loading end.
It’s a mess up there. I need to grade it to drain better this summer. That’d help a lot. That last log was 34” on the big end. It went surprisingly well for being that big😉
Jason, I own the same mill but with a diesel. I think you should figure out a good laser sight line solution for the mill and then produce a video on it. That way I won’t have to find my own solution, I’ll just use yours 😀
I had a company contact me about trying their sighting laser but it had a really cheesy power system. I’ve thought about trying to rig up my Milwaukee laser but haven’t yet. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for a solution.
Looked like good sawing despite the weather, Jason. In addition to walking backwards and levitating slabs, you should have undripped some of that rain coming off the eaves. Bill
Angelic voice? Sorry, but your voice doesn't sound anything like Karen Carpender's. lol. I really enjoyed watching you saw those logs. Love our Oregon rain. It sure beats the dry spells when we are praying for rain. From down here in Medford. Take care.
Sorry you had to work outdoors in the sprinkles and breezes. 😏 At least we're now into March with better April weather only a month away. Hope your feet stay dry and warm. 👍👍👍
I need to change my drive belt, can not wait to see your video on that. I did not do any milling this winter so I could stay out of the cold wet weather. Ron
I hear ya. I don’t care for the bad weather milling myself. I’ll have the belt video up soon. Hopefully you find it helpful if you’ve never changed your belt before.
Thank you! I typically do some form of minor maintenance every time I mill but I noticed a pretty major issue before I got started. These belts don’t last nearly as long as they’re supposed to.
NWS! Jason, we didn't realize just how big those logs were until you were standing next to them! Even you had to find some extra grunt to throw off those jacket slabs! 😅 And they sure did rock that deck when you roll them over. I enjoyed watching, as usual. -NES PS don't see any snow on the vid... What happened?
Thank you! Those are some of the logs from my mom’s house. There was snow on the ground when I started the video that ended up being the belt change episode. At the end of this one, when I’m loading the logs, the big rain drops are actually wet snow. And now we have an inch on the ground this morning. 😂
Jason, I'd be milling smaller diameter logs! Sheesh! Really looks like Fun Times! Lol, After all that...'Gruntin', I would try to figger out a hoist system to get those timbers off the mill easier fer sure! My back is hurtin !!! Looks like a hot tub soak after that cold shower work out!
@@NorthwestSawyer I noticed that ! You've been doing Sawyer stuff for quite a while, yer still thinking! Good idea! But for the life of me, I would be bustin my brain ta try and figger out an overhead crane! Lol Ain't no way I could ever manipulate that stuff by hand as you did!!! 👍
Everything else in this country seems to be screwed up and headed in the wrong direction and now it looks like we are going back to silent films as well lol.
@NorthwestSawyer, it's 33deg Celsius here today 3/2/2024, about 91.4 Fahrenheit. You can keep the snow , mate. A cold winter day here is 19 Celsius/ 66 Fahrenheit.
I was going to say i was out in your area the other day a saw a pare of trees down in a driveway on Amisigger hill just below wane stones log truck yard i assume they have been there for a wile sense the wind storm and might be a win fall for you the least they can say is no its up to you tho
Suggestion: when doing a non-talking video put the species you're cutting and dimensions of the lumber produced in text. Looked like doug fir, but sometimes it's not obvious. And scale/dimensions are hard to gage for us viewers. Thanks!
People like your channel but they dont have a clue the physical labor involved when you move thise flitches I ised to work in a veneer factory, i know!
This video is perfect, NO music. What a wonderful sound that blade makes. Well done.
Thank you, Ronald!
That's some tough work. Thanks for sharing ❤
you always do great camera work, nice to watch a video where the sawmill is the music ,real nice fir hardly a mark on the inside ,thanks🇨🇦
Thank you!
Nice little breeze. Enough to blow the sawdust of the lumber. Good video. Good lumber. Keep it up.
Thank you!

Thank you, Fred! I definitely have more milling to do. I’d really like the weather to calm down first.
Thanks for another great video.
Thank you, Leo!

I’m getting a bit fed up with this miserable weather seems ages since we had some warm weather …nice little video Jason …👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Our forecast for earlier this week was for rain/snow mix. We got 8" of snow overnight.
Some nice Doug fir (?) beams. Thanks for the video.
We had an inch or so this morning. Cold and wet. You are correct. Douglas fir.

Looked like alot of good 16' trailer boards like I'm getting ready to do.
That’s exactly what these are!😉
@@NorthwestSawyer did you cut them 8"s wide.i didn't catch that x 11/2"s.
@@exotictones1054 they were 11” and 11-1/4. These were the dimensions given to me.
Big slabs and pretty wood, wish I was young enough to buy a mill and equip, lots of work but enjoyable from my perspective.
I wish I was young enough too!😂
Thanks for the video!! ❤❤❤❤

I'd characterize your voice as mellifluous, but I guess that angelic works too. Thanks for a good saw mill video.
Me: Googles “mellifluous”…
Also me: thank you!🤓
I buy trailer loads of 3" x 12" x 16' doug fir for my business. I unload them one at a time. So I know how heavy those are!

great video them was some big logs be looking forward to the next one keep up good work
Thank you, Terry! Those were some of the trees taken down at my childhood home in a previous video.
Pretty much maxing out that thoat on the mill - once again some really nice wood there.

😂😂😂
Miserable weather where I am too. We have had double the average rainfall for February and no signs of stopping either. Got to stick with it
In England weather not to bad
Now it’s snowing 😂
Oh no, we haven’t that yet but there is still time ❄️👍
Wow Jason you really maxed out the mill on those trees. How many times have you gotten tree trunks that big? Great video thumbs up.
Thank you, Craig! Those are some of the logs from my mom’s house. I still have quite a few of them.
Cheers buddy 10hr till beer time
And counting….
Terrible weather, terrific lumber!
Indeed😉
I like your milling video's I'm also a car guy when are you going to show more videos of the truck
Thank you! I’m actually planning to get some work done on it starting tomorrow. Hopefully a video by next weekend. 🤞🏻
You must have been listening to some good tunes. I think I saw some finger drumming a couple of times!
It was actually a book on tape, “how to mill logs”😂
@@NorthwestSawyer haha

😂 thanks, John. I was using the 747 blades but I just picked up a box of double hard 10 degree blades.
Saw milling videos are getting hard to find.
Thanks.
I’m sure once people start thawing out, they’ll be sawing again.

Equipment trailer decking.
I'd understand why the East Coast has such puny trees compared to the West
Our trees get lots of hugs😬

That is the truth, Barry!
