Thank you, Chris! This was something new to me and it was very nice to be able to knock this order out so quickly. Fence boards are always an easy sell. I plan to go ahead and mill a substantial inventory to have ready to go. I know I won’t be sitting on them long.
'something extra' I believe down in the south of Louisiana there's a word for that. 'lagniappe' a little gratuity that brings people back. Costs nothing to you, means a lot to them. In my work, when i finish a job, ill dust, vacuum and polish or just yesterday, i had to borrow a spade, left mine at home, so took theirx home, cleaned it up, put some linseed oil on the handle and shaft, cleaned up and oiled the blade. Made him happy and gave me satisfaction. We do what we can because we care.
Thanks for the video Jason. I always enjoy watching your videos. You are becoming quite a pro at this sawmill work. I also enjoyed seeing your dog. She is a beauty. Keep up the good work my friend.
I hope your family enjoyed the free state of Florida. Being from Florida and visiting with my father back home in Mississippi for a week now I’m ready to home. I really enjoy watching your channel keep it up and keep the sawmill videos coming
This is amazing fixing up a rust bucket ... I would not consider doing this really want to see the final produce. Ibought a 73 f100 and it was a piece of garbage . Koodos to you both
Good video of as always, you show how to profit with a mill. I am from New Orleans we always include lagniappe (lang-yap) , a little something extra..... I enjoy your content and thank you... Indy
Man I wished I lived out there just to get them nice big western red cedar logs. I'm in ohio. Can find Aromatic eastern Red Cedar but it's not good for fence boards. Good video.
Hell they use to give a baker's dozen for 12 ears of sweet corn.but the price has gone up to 7 n 8 dollars a dozen n no more 13 it's now 12 ears n no pulling the husk back to see if it ready.n you give extra boards.what.i do too.good stuff.
You might benefit from the link package that moves all of your back supports together . I had one on my LT 35 . my dealer put them on all the ones he ordered and It was cheap to purchase .
I thought about that originally but I’ve had several instances where I’m glad I had the ability to move the center posts independently. Especially on shorter logs.
Those full width flitch-ends (3:45 mark) (as well as the other flitch ends), would make damned fine parts for Bluebird or Screech owl nest boxes! Mama bird don't care about purty, some wane is ok with her! (Just sayin'.) Check out Cornell Labs bird box designs, great sideline gig and your boy can help assemble them; college fund?? Cheers from your Southern (and bird-box making) just-down-the-road-a-piece, neighbour in Linn County.
Must be very satisfying to be able to supply your customers orders with lumber you have in stock….great little video Jason…👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Fence flitches, fence flitches, quite the tongue twister. Nice cameo in the background by the rooster. Enjoy your trip. Enjoyed the video.
Thank you! Easy for me to say😂
Florida's Space Coast here, hope you enjoyed your visit to the Sunshine State.
We did, thank you! We got to see a Falcon 9 launch from our patio.

Jason, hope you had a nice vacation. Truly enjoy watching you work at what you love to do. Btw, that is a fine looking dog you have.
Thank you! She’s been stealing the show lately 😉
Some very nice boards, going to make some smart fencing. Have a wonderful trip and break.
Thank you! We did!
5:32 glad it wasn't summertime! That could have escalated quickly! Good job on the fence boards!
Thank you! I definitely can’t burn like that in the summer 😉
Five eights inch thick flitches - easy for you to say! 😅😅. Nice boards, hope you had a good break. 😊
Thank you! I think I had a mouth full of sawdust 🤓

Thank you, we did! I haven’t been here since I was a teenager. I’d have loved to get some offshore fishing in.
I hope you guys had a good time in the sunshine state. Thanks for the video.
Thank you, Bob! We had a great time for sure.
Most enjoyable Jason, thank you. Hope you have, are having, have had a nice break. 👍

Ok, that's just showing off, moving the whole table. Lol. As always, nice work.
😁
Nice video, Jason. I expected to see that slab jump back into the burn barrel.
Bill
Thanks, Bill! That would’ve been a good one!😉
Very nice sawing Jason.
Thank you, sir!

Thank you! We definitely have a lot of it here. Although I wouldn’t mind making some of that bright red sawdust sometime 😉
Hope Florida was a nice vacation
It was! Thank you!
As always nice work.
Thank you!
Do you use these as privacy fence boards or are they placed in a horizontal position as a regular fence?
They can be configured either way. Typically vertically as a solid or “good neighbor” fence.
Great video 👏👏
Thank you! 👍
I see that you're ambidextrous. I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous..................................waiting for that to sink in.
Dave
Okay, Dave. I’ll handle the bad comedy 😂😂 I can run most tools with either hand but I definitely can’t draw or write with my south paw.
Hope you had a great vacation in Florida Jason. That is a good-looking dog, what breed is he? Great video thumbs up.
Thank you, Craig! I won’t tell her you called her a he but she’s a German shepherd-lab mix😬
@@NorthwestSawyer Oops my bad...didn't notice...had a fifty percent chance of being wrong so I took it. Thumbs up.
Safe travels
Thank you!

Hope you had a great trip. Did you go to to see the big Rat in Florida? [Mickey Mouse]. Ron
Thank you, Ron! No rats or mice or ducks on this trip. 😉
Love your dog. What name is it?
Thank you! Her name is Rayla. She’s a German shepherd-lab mix.
Enjoy Florida.
Did you come to Jacksonville Florida to Duval county that's where I live at
We stayed in Kissimmee and did a little traveling around the area.
How much each for 100 6" X 6 X 5/8 fence boards?
$3
Is your time not worth well over $100 per hour?
For fencing, not so much. The cedar posts I milled before this, I made $3k in half a day. $100 is my minimum
👋🏻
$100.00 an hr. but you do have a large over head.
How long did it take to make the lumber your starting the fence boards with?
I probably had an hour and a half in milling all the flitches I had. I only used about a quarter of those so maybe a half hour or so?
@@NorthwestSawyer Did you ever build a lumber shed?
