- You won’t believe what rappers Eminem thinks are better than him! The first rapper Eminem shouted out was in 2010 when he said Nas has better lyrical abilities than he does. But Eminem didn’t stop there - in a radio interview later that year, Eminem ranked Jay-Z ahead of him as one of the greatest rappers of all time, he also said that Jay has the best business mind in Hip Hop history. Eminem also said that, Kendrick Lamar, was one of the only newer rappers that he likes right now. A few years later, Eminem mentioned J. Cole as a rapper he thought was "really dope" and had great flow, lyricism, and elite storytelling. But who did Eminem think was the most slept-on rapper of all time? Eminem says Red man is one of his favorite rappers and he gets upset when people don’t put the rapper in their Top 5.

Problem is that was in 2002, at that time he was 9th. He went on to drop 7 #1 albums after that til i collapse song. He also went on to be the #1 all time selling rapper of all time, which gives him that #1 spot objectively, then to top it off he owns world records, hes recognized universally as the face of battle rap, Hes the only answer for #1, because if we just get to talking about good songs/good albums/etc. thats subjective and a opinion. When talking about whose #1 we have to brin up facts, Numbers/Accomplishments dont lie

Ppl like FloRida, Nelly, Kanye West, 50 Cent, The Bestie Boys, Drake and Post Malone outpace many of the greatest rappers when it comes to record sales. Even Eminem's universally agreed upon bad records sell better than the other greats. Eminem is great but most people agree he's very inconsistent. That's what holds him back I think. But yes objectively he's the most popular.

Not only slept on, but people just don't know what Red did for the genre. The dude pioneered a lot of the 2000s flow way back in the early 90s. Plus, he was one of the ones to combine weed smoking shenanigans with horrorcore topics. Combine Redman and Masta Ace's delivery, and you have late 90s Eminem. Knowing this and not having him in the top anything is just a personal preference, I too like others more. But not knowing and not caring is just wrong.

Andre 3000 is amazing too, just so many great artists that don't get the credit they deserve because they didn't become as main stream.
