I’m from Illinois so I heard JUICE in the 90’s and dude can really make music, I’ve never heard a song by him where I doubted his artistic ability. He could’ve been just as big as Common, like he said he was sabotaging himself the whole time. Dude can rap his ass off though. He got a song name Sincerely I believe that song shows you the type of writer he is. Here it is

Yes. That interview was the first time I've ever heard of Juice. When I typed in Juice/Rapper in search, a guy named Juice WRLD kept coming up. I was like "This is the guy who beat Eminem? He looks kinda young..." Then I saw Juice WLRD on Hot Ones and he talked about MC Juice.

There was a access Hollywood interview eminem did for his 8mile press run (around the 15 minute and 45 second mark) where he basically said the opposite, he still sounded bitter. I'm glad he now has a change of heart and thinks positively of the situation, because juice is an amazing freestyler.

whats bugged out is if you look back at "sincerely" Juice was at that self sabotaging mindset he was describing. "The cat that got famous for never being famous / Ill prolly roam the underground streets for all time / signed sincerely, Juice the unsigned"

He won't. If Em was going to do it, I think he would have done it by now.
There were quite a few underground MCs who had some affiliation with Em before he became widely known, and Em told them that if makes it, he would do a collab with them -- but according to them, Em never followed through.
Who knows -- they may eventually do work together, but it would have been better if Em worked with these lesser known artists when he was at the peak of his popularity -- as this would have helped them to receive more exposure.

But yeah, things are what they are.. not sure why Em didn"t follow through, considering that he put others on the map or otherwise tried to at least a few times.. 🤷
Juice tells a story in another interview in which he says he had asked Em to give him a chance at one point, and Em responded with something like "I thought you were the illest alive, can't you do it yourself?". Em was salty about this loss for a while...
Juice is absolutely not arrogant. I remember in 2006 we would talk back and forth on myspace. He was really humble and always encouraged me. Much love Juice!

Refreshingly honest interview. Nothing but respect for this guy. A true genius at what he does. What I call real battling. So glad I grew up in the era that I did.
Got to witness the juice vs supernat battle back in the day and to this day it’s been my favorite. Real mc’s battle and not only did juice do that but he was really good at it.

Now I know who won the rap battle against my favourite rapper Eminem, in his youth and before he became who he is today. Respect ! Of course Juice rapper is part of the History. !
While listening the interview ( more than twice ) some visions, references came to my mind.Two of them I mention here: 🎶' Lose Yourself' lyrics and a moment of the interview Em released on 2011(?) during the ' Recovery concert they started in Detroit. In that interview he said like ' rap is what I want to do ...I don't see me doing something different '. Observing his career of top rap record albums he also has including several moments of free styles along or in cypher like maintaing those roots of his beginning.
In other words, there are many rappers out there that have many talents, And yet Eminem realized and decided to address his most precious one for him and dedicated to it 💯.And that is placed before any awards and plaques tha did come.

I still remember the day when I walked into an Exclusive Music Company store in Milwaukee and bought the CD 100% Juice. That album had me in awe. He is absolutely right! He can write songs with the best of them - Key to the City, Freestyle or Written and Gone But Not Forgotten, to name a few.
I’m blessed to have personally been in the lab with Juice and heard some of the best freestyles never recorded. Great guy and underrated all-around artist.

There are dots you can connect… (outside of things I can’t officially confirm) but that record was produced in Chicago… produced by Hula & Fingers… the singer was from Chicago… Juice was ‘around’… Will was rapping in a style he had never previously done before or since… Juice made a summertime ish type record before & the tempo is different but rhyme/flow pattern is the same as the Fresh Prince record..
Juice said he was part of a writing team that wrote Summertme for the Fresh Prince. He didn't write the entire song or entire verses.
MC Juice & Eminem 2 of the illest lyricist/emcees of all time! Both super duper dope! I was at Scribble Jam in August 1997! They had classic finals that went 6 rounds I believe. They were clearly the 2 illest by far there!

Success in Hip Hop should not be measured by how well an artist is able to navigate to the top of a corrupt music industry. MC Juice is a product of an era that used to know this, and so is Eminem.

I’m not so sure Juice understands the meaning of the word “MISconception” 🤔guess he wanted to list faults instead 😂 But I appreciate his honesty; it sucks though when gifted artists self sabotage all the time. Sometimes we’re our own worst enemy. And one bad decision can sometimes affect the rest of your life and alter the very course of your life. Forever. And it can take a long time to just to get back to where you started before that decision. Unfortunately, I know how difficult that all is from hard earned personal experience.
Em should’ve helped Juice get the recognition he deserves.
