Someone commented that even David Miscavige’s DAD (Ronald) escaped Scientology! *That is absolutely true* and I was fortunate enough to have several important conversations with him and what a wonderful gentleman he was! He wrote a book about everything he went through with his son and despite the horrific abuse, he still cried over the loss of his son (even though David was still alive, he treated his dad as though he was dead) and how horribly cruel the “church”’s minions were to him daily. Mr. Ronald Miscavige died June 24 2021 with NO money for funeral. His own son refused to give a penny but go fund me were able to raise approximately $10,000 for funeral expenses in dignity. *Ronald never asked for money, never had a “poor me” attitude, he just wrote his truth about Scientology and about David.* I just wanted to say, he was a deeply kind, and gentle man who was *NOTHING LIKE HIS SON* I am so grateful I got to call him my friend. *May David rot in hell.* 🤬🤬

That Tom Cruise has finally found someone he doesn't have to look up to in David Miscavige must be the real reason he likes Scientology so much.

Marc has been on multiple times with Chris (here), Jeffrey Augustine (Surviving Scientology), Aaron Smith-Levin (Growing Up in Scientology), and with COB's dad Ron Miscavige! Marc is a really interesting and entertaining interview guest!

I enjoyed this interview very much. Out of curiosity, I went to a scientology church/building to get info and felt like I was taken over, found myself in a room watching a strange film then in a class being signed up...then got the feeling I was being gaslighted...I tried to leave early and was told I couldn't leave. I almost lost it. I am an educated person. I began some research and found this. So glad I did. My instincts were right on. Pheww! Thanks again, Chris and Marc.

@@George50809 It's now a common term, not specific to scientology and based on the old movie 'Gaslight' where a husband manipulates his wife into questioning her thought processes and ultimately her sanity by turning lights up and down then denying it.

    • @Will0wFire
      @Will0wFire 3 роки тому +15

@Lee 1227 I remember in the early 90's when the Swiss and German governments ruled that scientology is not permitted to classify itself as a church. The main premise was that this organisation required people to pay membership fees and pay for courses.
Any real church hopes for donations but they don't make them a requirement. There is no set fee and anyone can be a member of a church.
How much money have you spent so far, Lee? How much have you progressed? How many promises have been broken?
Are you living in your own home, or are you one of many sharing a room? Have you been punished? Have you been told you're nothing, you need to be better?
Find your inner strength and ask questions of yourself.

    • @Will0wFire
      @Will0wFire 3 роки тому +11

@Lee 1227 of course you don't have money or care about it, you've given it all to them, and they're telling you you don't need it. Cults are commonly extremely wealthy, so I'm not sure where you've been looking.
I'm not impressed by Ton Cruise, he's a complete nutcase. Celebrities are treated better than anyone else, obviously. I don't see Miscavige send his fellow short-arse into the RPF, so of course celebrities can stay and have a fun time.
You're saving the world, Lee? Are you, ARE you really? What have you done so far? Been audited? Done a few courses? -which you paid money for.... increasingly more and more money.
How many friends have you had to stop seeing?
Salvation doesn't cost, Lee. What if your whole and only purpose in life is to make the most of it? See and make friends and family. Live, laugh, travel, be kind. I feel for you, Lee. I hope you get out before its too late.

I used to think that Tom was a victim of David Miscavige.
But Tom has had many opportunities to know about David's criminal activities
and done nothing to expose them.
So he is fully accountable for the damage he is doing to those who don't know that his pal and hero Miscavige is a psychopath.

I know growing up Scientology is far worse, but I was in a cult for years as a teenager, and so much of this is like taking a walk down memory lane for me. Even the way you're sharing funny stories and laughing at the ridiculousness sounds exactly like what my friends and I do when we catch up.
The main difference is that the leader of my particular religious cult was a pervert and molested a lot of us. Ironically, he's the same guy the Duggar family sent Josh to for "counseling" when they learned he'd been molesting his sisters.
Needless to say, that was like sending an alcoholic to a liquor store for addiction therapy, so when I heard that, I was sick to my stomach. I knew it was bad, but I never realized how many predators we were surrounded by in that place.
    Hindsight is always 20/20.

Tom Cruise is so drunk on the power, presence, and gifts that Scientology bestows upon him, and he's completely changed into some super intense, truly bizarre and nonsensical weirdo. This persona we see is saccharin; phony. It is an outward appearance that Tom has painstakingly practiced, artfully crafted, meticulously perfected, and masterfully controls... to the point of seeming like that kiss-ass office suck-up, on a mission to take over the company. Not only is it transparent, it's pathetic. When he no longer serves a purpose within this cult, make no mistake about it, David Miscavige will turn on him too, kick him to the curb, and expose every dirty secret he ever revealed in those Orwellian audits.

Creepy! I grew up in Hollywood and I clearly remember those buildings. I did call them when I was 16 and had left the Catholic Church and started believing in reincarnation. I had checked a book out of the public library about reincarnation and it turned out to be from CoS and it mentioned getting audited and finding about past lives. This was a treat. Like quite a few other people here in the comments section, I’m here because I read Blown for Good years ago, back when there wasn’t a whole lot of other published material by former Scientologists. I knew some bad stuff happened within the church; what I didn’t know was how much of it came down to the actions of one person. I remember thinking back then that Scientology couldn’t last much longer if it couldn’t stop people like Marc from talking. But here we all are, a decade later, and it is very much still happening. I hope this upcoming wave of new lawsuits will succeed in finally getting some justice done for the suffering that Scientology has brought to its members and their loved ones.

Many years ago probably summer of 1978 my friend and I were passing a Scientology head quarters in Canada and we decided to go in and find out what it was. I had heard of the book Dyanetics but even though it was a number one best seller I decided not to read it because is was Science fiction and my opinion of Science fiction was very low on my reading choices next to cartoon books. Well we went in and after about 5 mins of chatting with the people at the front desk I determined that it was a group of greedy self involved elitist trolls who were just dying to treat people like crap. So being 22 years old and somewhat rational I went on with my life. When Tom Cruise got involved I thought what is this dick wad raving about Scientology I should have known it had something to do with Slavery when they got Celebrities promoting it. The only thing they have that makes them relevant is the fact that they put people through years of torture and servitude. I am really happy to see you guys purge yourselves of a lifetime of ignorance . Since it is true that they only really care about the money that is probably the only thing that could hurt them in the long run since the don't care about families or health or education Mob Mentality cannot be used against them. Any way good luck to you from another human on this incredibly interesting planet. Keep making videos people, need to hear this stuff.

Dianetics was a best seller because Hubbard forced sea org members to buy all the copies and inflate the number of sales.
Hubbard was a ruthless businessman masquerading as a spiritual leader.
His weapon was an endless stream of impressive sounding words that won over gullible listeners.

@whitey 1 yea, that's true but the other guy is right also. @James Richard Wiley
AND... It wasn't really throughout the 50's it lasted a few years, if not less because Mr. Psycho Madman, delusional person,L.Ron REATARD, performed a live event of one of his testing craps, oh he tried to "prove" his testing worked in regard to memory and the test dummy couldn't remember anything, including remembering the color of the tie he was wearing that night even though they were on the stage together side by side. One by one people started to walk out.
ALSO.... What has always been... Critics and people of a somewhat elevated intelligence NEVER thought of his work, including DINANETICS, as anything but nonsense and pure gibberish.
People get confused because of the best seller listing.....
      .... Just because it's a best seller doesn't mean it's a best book.
Actually, something really hilarious, when L.Ron Retard brought the first draft of Dianetics to a publisher, the publisher had his assistant read it. The assistant came running out yelling and through himself out the window. Lol! True story!!

One of the best videos I've ever watched. SO funny, revealing and disturbing all at once. I used to see Scientologists come in to Wendy's by the Sunset center while I was there having lunch. People called them drones, they were vacant and just so different (not in a good way), but this video has me feeling bad for them in retrospect. I can only imagine what they were going thru. This is the most engaging video on Scientology I've seen to date.

Excellent interview with rapid repartee. I remember Pubs Org UK selling open reel tapes, apparently unedited. It became known that some heavy editing was going on when the Study Tapes, which we had initially listened to from the DC Org library, were edited in various ways to remove GPMs and whole track stuff due to it being Out Gradient for newbies; later released on cassettes in sanitized version. This was in the late 1970s. Some orgs in areas where Hubbard lectured had their own copies of tapes, which would vary from org to org. And missions were fired to collect all privately held recordings of lectures, ostensibly to archive for posterity. Folks were turning in wire recordings (!) among other formats.
