This looks like an awesome option for integrators. Another tool for their tool belt.
I can't wait to get it - I have a plan formulating to install it in my dedicated room and compare how it sounds or holds up against my MX-10s... not sure how that will go but I will also try to set it up in my living room as well and with a UST projector - a lot of work but I think it will be worth it!
@@BuildMontagetricky though as you’ll lose two subs in the setup but testing it in the HT would be amazing for the review!

At the time of recording I didn't have all of the finer details but you can click the link in the description to take you to the website which has all of that. It does come in 75, 85, 100 and custom sizing - all explained in the video.

Thats one hell of a soundbar, more like soundbeam 😂 does it go with a recommended subwoofer, rear speakers, and how much does this cost? Also, does it simulate height channels?
It's not a sound bar, it's a sound experience! sydneyhifimonavale.com.au/products/krix-lx-7-linear-lcr-soundbar Circa $5K AUD. You need an amplifier for it and no its an LCR not fake bouncing atmos like other soundbars. This is a real speaker, with cabinets.

I’ve never heard Krix, but I love that they don’t sacrifice on quality of sound to thing a product to market.

This soundbar is designed for use with a reciever or processor and power amplifier, as they are bigger drivers and cabinet, so all of the speakers will require a power amp or reciever to drive them. Matching surrounds for this would be the Hyperphonix 45

Looks interesting. Sounds like a good option for those who want the clean look and floor space savings of soundbar. I’m sure these will be really good for home theater setups.
Does this Sound Bar come with a Subwoofer?
No it's a passive soundbar, meaning that you need an amplifier to power it. These are not small soundbar speakers, but larger drivers with a waveguide, which is similar to their Hyperphonix 45 on wall speaker, that can take plenty of power and they have a surprisingly decent amount of bass on their own, but you would need to buy a sub if that's all you were going to get if you want a dedicated LFE channel.

Hi @dadevestator - thanks for your comment. From an acoustical point of view, the design axis of the speaker (half-way between the two drivers) is centred. So while aesthetically we had to choose the mid-bass driver one side and the tweeter another, the "sweet spot" is perfectly centred.

Huh? This is one of 5 videos so far on the Cedia Tech Summit with 4 more to come all of different vendors and brands. I haven’t made a Krix video in a while but also it’s the brand I chose for my own setups so kinda have to show it.
The price is an absolute joke.
Hmm.. not when you consider that the Hyperphonix 45 which has the similar specs, waveguide/drivers sells for $2895 a pair, adding a 3rd one and all of that extra cabintery - I think it's pretty much on the money. I own several Hyperphonix 45 and they are an incredibly powerful speaker. This isn't like a little soundbar you might buy from The Good Guys - you will get an idea of the scale when you watch the video.
The MX5 system would be better value when you factor in subwoofers or a sennheiser.
@rayalliston7702 the whole purpose is that this can be a stylish and easier to install solution. Not everyone could put an MX-5 in their rooms. Give it a chance. They are high performance speakers in there :)
@@rayalliston7702when adding this sound bar and say 2x Cyclonix 11’s which is the same as the MX-5 subs, it’s still cheaper by a hair,But similar power output, same sensitivity, and half the size.
The same as tony stated, it look’s to be based on the hyperphonix speakers and they have a lot to give, and get waisted as surrounds.
The thing that hurts soundbars is the lack of rear speakers. It’s why the top Samsung model and Sony HTA9 sound so good.
