I want to try one of these for lap swimming. I bought one of the original front lap snorkels with the traditional mouthpiece and it’s really uncomfortable. I feel like like teeth are moving because of it and my neck gets sore under my chin. It feels like whatever the muscle is under my chin gets hit and I feel like a toad attracting a mate. I want to get one of these full face masks, hopefully it will alleviate this.
My Body Glove Aire Full face mask just arrived. And I have an Intex pool that I made into an improvised tethered swimming pool. Quite interesting. Make sure you get a full face mask from a well reputable brand, like Body Glove, like mine, or Aqualung, or Ninja, or the Triboroid, which started it all. It can actually mean the difference between life and death.
I just bought an ocean reef model as I had my normal mask and snorkel in another city. My first swim I do confirm I was getting less air in as you described. I must ask how is it that you got back to your original swim breathing after a period of time?
I guess the resistance to breathing when wearing the mask will strengthen the inter costal muscles and diaphragm so when you swim without the mask you will feel the benefit and be a little more efficient with your breathing/gaseous exchange
I m not good on swimming but when I wore this mask during swimming I did not sink because the mask made the air pocket on my face so I did not sink as long as I keep moving my arms and legs. I was floating in lake. Does anybody experience the same?

There was a full-face mask produced by the French in the 1960's that had 2 x snorkels - I know 'cos I was the kid that desperately wanted it but didn't have the money - just stared through the shop window.

Using slight barriers (the mask in this case) to taking too many breaths and learning to use diaphragmatic breathing will greatly improve your sports performance. can be adjusted for keeping away from covid 19? kids need protection from that during the training...

Hi. On wearing the mask - even out of water - am not breathing freely. It is a little difficult. Is that how it works? Or am i doing something wrong?

Yes it is possible , but trey to do it slowly, so the mask wont move

That is not good for people with neck injuries who need to wear the mask for their disabilites.
