Before you push the pistons back in it's a good idea to make sure the master cylinder reservoir isn't full already so it doesn't overflow.

How would you test the calipers? I followed your video exactly, and I have a scrubbing / scraping sound from the driver’s side. I swapped all the parts (rotor and pads) to the other side, and the sound is still on the driver’s side. I feel like the pads are still touching the rotor, but I don’t know how to test if that’s working correctly…?

Yeah, how'd you bleed the calibur? The pad obviously doesn't just fit back in, so how did you reduce the pressure without a calibur tool?

I have a 2010 Cadillac STS4 and the front suspension is going bad and I want to get away from the factory magna ride suspension, I was looking at strut masters at first but saw on your Mercedes video that you wouldn’t recommend them at all, so is there a product that you would suggest? Thank you

I have not installed a set of strutmasters on a STS before. So they could be just fine. With this particular set on that Mercedes, they were just utter garbage. Some pieces worked just great and everything fit fine. The suspension was just far too soft.
If I recall, the CTS suspension is shared with your STS. You should (don’t quote me) be able to use coilovers (say BC racing) made for a CTS/CTSV on your car.

No need to replace the rotors unless their scored. Just do your pads and you’re fine unless you have grinding

No grinding but squealing really loud when stopping however how do I know if the rotors need to be changed? It's my wife's vehicle and she said that there's no grinding but how do I check the rotors to be sure?

@@tossemup5210 the squeaking is just the pad OR the squealer which tells you you’re almost metal to metal…. Take your tire off and look at your rotor, run your finger across it and up and down, check the back side of the rotor, as long as it’s smooth with no grooves you’re fine, get some brake kleen, clean em up and put your new pads on, make sure you also take the cap off your brake fluid reservoir and put a towel under it so that when you compress the calipers the brake fluid won’t make a mess in your engine compartment, once your done check your fluid and you’re done.

Are there brake sensors that are involved that need something done?
