While they seem to be slower than even a good street summer tires on a single lap they are going to be half the price and save your expensive PS4s etc. from being destroyed and will last an entire session IF allowed to be driven within their limit/zone...pushing these hard and expecting great results is not advantageous....let them be slow! A street summer tire will not hold up like this on track.
Three ribs make these ok in the rain.
These actually are a drift tire.
Perfect tire to start out with on track.
Not a fast/TT tire based on lots of more experienced users experiences.
I run these in a 255/40/17 on a 17x9 Apex Race Parts VS-5RS wheel.

Ive run alot of 200 tw tires and these are not even in the same realm. They squeal like an all season and wear like a summer tire. Easy to find the limit since its so low. No sidewall support. These need to be marketed in the 300 tw range, not even close to other 200 tw on the market. Even federal rsr which is same cost is 5x better all around. Fun for a low limit street tire thats about it
Agree they are noisy, they wore well for me. Agree they are more like a 300 when comparing to other 200s. I currently run the Nexen N'Fera Sport R...a super 200 and yes, much grippier. I have a video of me chasing my buddy in a MK8 R at VIR and he is on these tires, he holds his own on them for sure. A good cheap way to not trash your street tires is how I look at them...I had fun on them.

I got these expecting a 200 tw tire and my autox event turned into a drift day as I tried to keep the car from sliding every single turn 😭 a fun tire i agree but they need to change the tw rating to reflect their true performance. That's my only gripe. Almost like false advertising lol

I purchased the accelera phi for my 2006 Mazda 3, and I actually love them. I was a bit weary of the reviews by one website, but the other couple websites I also looked at the phis had great reviews from customers. I'm assuming they don't race them, but for normal driving they seem pretty good. I do take turns very fast on windy roads, and they did excellent didn't lose control. Actually, did better than my previous more expensive tires on gravel as well. Haven't tried them on wet pavement, I heard performance wise they do poorly on slippery roads.
Things to note, the weight of these tires are pretty off, expect a lot of weights. Sidewalls are pretty soft, and they run narrow. my 245/40/17 looked more like a 235 sizing. on 17x9
They do run narrow for sure, I have 245s from another brand now that are wider than these 255s. 17x9 = 255 if you get these. I didn't weight all 4 but they were pretty light and yes, sidewalls are soft which is why they are lighter. Still a good tire to have fun with/not destroy you nice street tires.
@@karstgeo7290 definitely worth it. mine were less than 400$ shipped to my door. i bought these specifically for seat time. From what I've heard they aren't bad in the wet either. First track day in them this month.
So if I order a 285 35 18 it will fit or look like 275 35 18?
I wish they'd mark the Sport Xtras as 200tw since they seem to be more like a 200tw tire but I can't run 100tw for my Autox class.
So would i be seeing an increase or decrese in straight line and conering grip getting these and coming from extreme contacts sport 02?
I would say no - they really don't have any more grip (to me) than my ECS02s that I use as daily summer tires, BUT, they will last longer under high-heat conditions on a road coarse/track.
