The DBS is such a good looking car.
i think the new one is better looking then the old one. but the old one is so much more fun to drive because of that manual transsmision and that sweet NA V12, even tho its a lot slower then the new DBS
As a huge James Bond & Mr JWW fan, this video is complete. This is my dream car from Casino Royale, also noticed from previous videos you’re a Metallica man. You Mr JWW, are a winner.
Had Reload on this trip actually! 🤘🏼
Amazing 🤘🏻 Couldn’t think of a better trip.
@@MrJWW oh man, should have been Ride the Lightning!
When Aston Martin was beautiful looking and timeless.
@@MrJWW Ah, the most underrated 'tallica album. Unforgiven II ftw!
That Highlands quiet is the most beatuiful sound in the world, sorry DBS
Quiet?
When you look back over this trip years from now I think you've produced one of those magical things for yourself, a special memory for life!
I love the idea of the cars being in scenic areas. Nothing like a beautiful car with a beautiful backdrop
DBS/ Vanquish/177 are one of the most gorgeous cars ever made.😘😘. Love your content.
The DBS and the Vanquish S thank you very much what a road trip and what a day you must have had. Great great video
I subbed when the channel had less than 10K subs. From the first video, I knew that this guy was a true, proper car guy. That's why I trusted him to keep me indulged in sublime right-hand drive bliss. And he never fails to deliver. This has got to be one of the top 5 car videos of the year for me. Thank you Mr. JWW. Many more happy miles!
Great to hear you enjoyed it 👍🏻
This really highlights so much of what constitutes of my dream in life. Thank you, James. The content you create really puts colours into a lot of imaginations.
Went there and took a picture with my Renault Clio last year ! Now I just bought an i30N...maybe it's time to revisit those incredible roads!
Hey James, long time viewer and subscriber. Amazing video as always and the acquisition of this DBS was a game changer. My favorite along with the GT3 and TDF.... keep crushing the game and growing, much love from New York!
Great to hear you enjoyed it - thanks for watching 👍🏻
James, I was up there in August in my 2012 DBS with Epic Rally and we did the same shot at Glencoe! You just HAVE to when you are in an Aston! As for the DBS on those roads....oh, what a joy!.
James, that shot, it just gave me goosebumps, in a very good way i assure u. Thats a beautiful shot, a near perfect recreation of an iconic Bond moment. The scenery, the car, it just works. I so much envy that ure able to do this. I wish i can do the same someday.
James thanks for taking all the effort to recreate the shot from Skyfall! You found the place! Enjoyed this "old style JWW video" very much. keep the driving videos coming! And keep on changing gears (for no reason) !
love the vids, keep up the hard work mate❤️
This is why James is in the top 5 car content creators on UA-cam. Production and effort to get the best shots are insane.
Such a quality production, one of the best car guys on the tube for sure. Keep em coming 👍🏻🇬🇧
The DBS has been in my dream garage for years... Never driven one so couldn't' know for sure but only heard good things about the manual. Great shot that belongs on a wall of yours somewhere. Keep up the good work brother!
Magnificent video James. I own a DBS manual also, and I must say I agree with all of your comments. These cars steal your heart!
I pick mine up on Saturday and have been glued to this vlog, its something I'm going to do without a shadow of a doubt, loved that!
One day I will buy an Aston and do the same route that you did. Great video!
The road is the road to Glen Etive
Indeed 👍🏻
even looking around with google maps is great
@@wboeren1 who needs google maps have driven and walked around there plenty of times
@@jamesfindlay7150 i envy you for that.
@@jamesfindlay7150 Also spent plenty of time there. recommend you go at times when tourists are sparse otherwise a nice car will be limited
Great car, great road. I was up there in my F355 a few years ago, screaming between those mountains. One of the great drives.
Amazing to watch this beautiful DBS...
Absolutely epic! Top 3 favorite videos you've done. That DBS is stunning!
This whole video just puts a huge smile on my face. Thank you sir!
I don’t get why Mr. JWW doesn’t get more engagement. He always has the best cars and makes really some of the best destination driving videos around.
Hi James, I live in Stirling and drive these roads most weekends for pleasure and to be honest take them granted. I’d like to thank you for letting me see again just how special where we live is and appreciate it from a different perspective. Hope to see you and one of your amazing cars when we’re out and about. Looking forward to more videos 😊👍🏻
Thank you, very much, James. I appreciated this very picturesque drive in a car that I may want to acquire. The Aston DBS is amazing in the spec that you have purchased.
JW, I just bought a 2009 model. Absolutely love it. I used to own a DB9 but this DBS is a totally different experience. The manual gearbox is glorious and the refined polished interior is definitely a wonderful place to be. It is truly a special car. Thanks for your videos. Keep them up!
Living the Supercar dream, perfect car in a perfect location, love the way you present it and make us feel a part of it. Very jealous. Been eagerly awaiting some DBS content, looking forward to more.
Great video, amazing cinematography along with a fun storyline! Killing it James and team!!
Gotta admit I'm ridiculously jealous right now. What a brilliant and beautiful landscape to drive a (nearly) Bond-spec DBS through. That scene in Skyfall was one of my favorite in the entire Bond series, if not all movies ever.
That is an amazing place. Awesome vlog. Keep up the good work.
that moment where James goes to say oh Shi.. and the transition was perfect. kudos to the editors
Fantastic video James. You have to be proud of this one. Well done Sir. Thank you.
I know you’re already planning on doing it but you really need to re-chrome the grille - the only thing to make it look better
The DBS is certainly an awesome Aston, and with the manual is definitely fitting for 007. You captured the shot from Skyfall perfectly. Well done.
As I am a Canadian currently in Glasgow. I envy this journey and hope one day I can take European delivery of a car and come back to these parts and do a similar tour of the highlands. Thank you Mr.JWW very inspirational!
This is pure class and great content, respect to you James!
DBS Superleggera 007 Edition from No Time To Die is the one for me
Love these tour videos James. Looking forward to a family update as well with a photo of that cute little one of yours when your add the DBX family hauler to the fleet.
Timeless design, V12, manual and amazing sound 😍
Got to drive that same road about a year ago. As an American driver and a 007 fan it was glorious. Never found the Skyfall bridge but now I know where it is. Thanks
Really enjoyed the video and the Aston Martin DBS!! Keep it up James! 👍🏼
Loved that car in Casino Royale. Loved that they let the V12 sing. Skyfall is definitely a favorite. But to go there...in a DBS...and find that exact spot? Truly epic. Well done. Great video.
I'm falling in love with your Aston DBS 😩. Just wonderful.
Just EPIC...My favourite Bond and youtuber...Well done James
Such a beautiful and elegant car. One of my favourites.
amazing lad your content is next level !
Thanks James for a stunning video, both the car and the scenery. It’s many years since I was up that way with our, now grown up, children. Looking forward to seeing more content. Take care. Regards, Bob M. South Wales
As a 2010 DBS (Quantum Silver and paddle shift because I live in Southern California) owner and a huge James Bond fan. This was your best video. I am so jealous. Thank you for making my day.
It looks like parts of Forza Horizon 4!
Why do you spam everywhere?
Crazy scenery up there 👍🏻
because it is
It is !
Funny thing that s actually the top of the horizon 4 map and belive it or not isn't far from amble side I was there the other week
Yeah, been there myself a couple of times, at the end of that road is an old steamer port, where the paddle steamer would sail to Oban...I parked nine exactly where yours was parked, glad you enjoyed yourself...
All the best
Ian MacDonald
Drove this road today for work travelling to Fort Augustus gutted I missed you and that DBS one of my all time favourite cars
I’m lucky enough to have the auto version of this car, and you’ve described it perfectly (except the auto IS good, especially in Sport). It is all about how it makes you feel. People do love it, and will talk to you about it, which is very kind of them, but this video explains better than I ever can exactly what it is like. It’s wonderful at any speed including parked! It looks good, sounds good, smells great inside and is so tactile to use. The steering wheel is perfect to touch, and the front end grip on warm tyres is excellent. But the brakes are unbelievable - stops on a sixpence. As a car it’s a real keeper, and you can drive it all day. Great videos on this car - keep it up!
Dream car, dream scenery, impeccable editing, won't be easy to top this video off!
As an Aston V12 manual owner, you've inspired me to travel up north next spring.... wow. Keep up the good work James!
Theres just something right about an Aston in the Great British countryside... stunning car, stunning sounds, stunning scenery. Smashed it James.
Your enthusiasm for the car really shines through. Good for you in achieving your dream car.
On a side note, I was always taught not to rest my hand on the shifter of a manual to let it vibrate and eliminate the chance of premature wear of the gearbox.
Still can't get over the scenery there, it was amazing in July. Crashed my drone while having it follow my car along it though 😂👍🏻
Wow, magical view and nature and a beautiful car. Good edit and good plates. Stay Safe 🙏
I have been down the Glen Etive road in the depths of winter when climbing Bidean. Managed to get through six inches of snow on Bridgesttone RE50a tyres. Fun but not the fun you'd want to relive . Glad to get back on the A82.
The DBS looks glorious, two of my former bosses had them, one coupe and one volamte. Keep up the good work sir.
Bucket list stuff right here! Well done James
Breathtakingly beautiful car, love love Bond, this vid is wonderful !!
Just Epic! Thank you for sharing both one of my favourite brands with one of my favourite movie titles!
Love it because it's an experience sure you can have the quickest or fastest car but your missing ambiance of that perfect driving moment when your all about power and numbers so love this
What a beautiful machine! This would be the Aston Martin of my choice, if I ever would have the chance to come somewhere close to. Yes the new ones look modern and hot, but they just don't have the beauty and elegance and understatement of this generation of Astons. Congratulations and I wish you all the fun with it.
To get into the GT range of cars, I got myself a 2017 Mustang, and I love how the roof silhouette and the C pillar are almost identical with the Aston 😊
Greetings from Bavaria!
Waiting for the rain James...? LOL
That drone shot at 12:16 James is breath taking man!!!! WOW.
A classic good mrJWW video... You bring the right stuff. And That ohhh sh... was well placed😀😃😄
DBS will always have a spot in my future garage, damn wanna drive there in the future
Now this is the video I love. Great scenery and great cars
James we frequently travel these roads on holiday being based just outside glasgow but when its possible try the road and scenery of arran with goatfell as ur backdrop and yes no phone signal once the ferry turns into Brodick bay, great vid great car mate
I can’t imagine how cool that was for you. Next week Im driving to Colorado from Texas & Im taking a “minor” detour to drive up Pikes Peak. Granted I’m nowhere near cool to be driving in an Aston, but still. Driving in cool iconic spots is amazing!
Cheers from Vancouver Canada mate 🤙🏽 I remember when I was so stoked you visited a couple years (?) back
Hey James, always been a fan of your work, one of my favorite car youtuber out there by far. Just a bit of feedback, I think your video's quality could really improve if you tried using an external microphone for "in-car" recording. Other than that great video as always, keep up the good work, you'll always make us dream with the cars you feature :)
That road right in front of Buachaille Etive Mor - one of my favourites. Incidentally, I never lose signal there as I always send a pic of the little white bunker house.
That intro though! I suddenly found myself pausing the video, sitting here just staring down my iPhone, thinking one quote: You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
Such a monster of a car, looks amazing and you got your pic 👍
When you're eventually heading back down toward home i'd recommend the A708 and the road that runs through the Kielder Forest. I loved both when i went up that way a couple of months ago.
I could just watch that video over and over again. God I miss that road.
Great video! You should take the DBS to lake Como and recreate the quantum of solace car chase scene in the tunnels! With the V12 echoing! Maybe leave out the quarry bit!
Thank you for this! 👌 Amazing view
I've lived there for more than two years. Love that place.
Good job and beautiful take 😍👍👍👍👍👍
My Grandad/Great Grandad worked on a Peat Bog on the border of Wales and know so much about it lol. They went from burning/cutting it to preserving it in their careers. Books have been made featuring them. Something I never really understood but seems so important.
What a bucketlist of you... congrats James...
This is by far my absolute favorite Aston
What a content... pure class 👌🏻
I drove this road on the way home from the NC500 in my Edition 40 and it was so amazing. The sights were just unreal. In an Aston, that's the dream.
I have the Vantage version. Same interior, engine m, gearbox etc. it’s a unique and special vehicle. A keeper
James.. You have half the name, the car and the eyebrows! Keep up the good work! You're almost there..
You can always count on JWW to put out quality content when you need it most 🔥
Need to get that shot in my Aston, went down there in my GT3 a couple of years ago, right place wrong car. Great video....
Great work. Well done.
A82, one of the most breath taking roads and one of my fave for driving and i'm really missing it with the way the country is right now.
I was up there doing Ben Nevis last month. By far the best bit was driving through there 🤣 stopped at that exact spot too! Special place.
James, we did the NC500 in September and found the best roads were on the west coast and the most beautiful scenery! Also would be nice to see you do the old military road in that! Another good road!
Beautiful. Just beautiful. The scenery is nice, too.
"I'm bond, james ww bond" great video as usual buddy.
