That mine dream car. I fall in love with it when I saw it in Casino Royale. It think it one off the last pure drives car with a manual gearbox. Not to much horsepower, elegant, pure and a true gentleman's car. I hope one day I have the chance to drive it and feel like there is no tomorrow

Can't agree more. DBS is the sweet spot of cars, before technology completely overtook things. At some point we must admit that continuing to reinvent the wheel just loses its novelty. This may be the point where we look back and say, "they really got it just right with the 2009 DBS".

Thank you for sharing this. I can never get enough of the DBS (those 007-movies have a lot to answer for). I had the pleasure of renting a DBS in London one time and taking it on a trip in the countryside. It was a manual, but since it was a RHD vehicle and I am used to LHD vehicles, it was a challenge. But great fun. If I win the lottery, I will definately buy one.

Nice video ! Nothing beats the sweet sound of that NA V12... On the road or on the race spec (V12 Vantage GT3 / Lola AM DBR1-2 LMP1), it sound glorious... This DBS is my dream spec except for the wheels. Black, carbon fiber, red calipers and ... MANUAL !
For the wheels I would go for 19" 10-Spoke Graphite Diamond that most Volante have.

Same here... just like Kevin Dylan, jut below, I fell in love with it, seeing Casino Royal. In 2013, I was fortunate enough to find the next best thing, .. A 2009 DB9 in pristine condition, with only 16000 mile on the clock for only 60K... and three years later, my dream came true. I was even more fortunate (purely by coinsidence) to find and get hold of a DBS Cabon Black Edition...What a car!! True, it doesn't have the manual transmission but, still is such a joy to drive. Even with just 32 additional horse power, this car is so different to drive from the DB9. Much more agressive with much more torch. So much so, that I had to appear in court for speeding, leaving my dealership. Can you believe it? It just shot to 60 before I knew it. The DB9, although a wonderful car to drive, was much gentler and a bit sluggish compared to the DBS. Both cars are real lookers but, the DBS wins hands down. It is truely the most beautiful GT out there. even today, 7 year after its retirement. I'm sorry but the new generation GT's form Aston are ugly by comparison and have lost the class, style and timeless beauty that was designed by Ian Cullum and Henry Fisker.

Thank you for making the one of the most comprehensive review for the Handsome Dbs! I absolutely loved it and will definitely purchase one before I reach 40! I think we should also give credit to Dbs's predecessor, the Vanquish from 2002! It was the Vanquish which started it all in the Bond movie Die Another Day....Daniel Craig drives the Aston Martin DBS, the successor of the Vanquish,... "it is explosive power in a black tie and has its own unique character which will equal that of James Bond!...Dr. Ulrich Bez (CEO of Aston Martin)

The Aston Martin DB5 started it all in 1964 in Goldfinger, it wasn't even the first DBS. There were 3 Aston's before the Vanquish, the DB5, the old DBS & the V8 Vantage Volante.

I have a Carbon Black Edition from 2012. Although not a manual gearbox, it is still a wonderful car to drive.... and you can look at it for hours, enjoying it as a pure piece of art. There is not a single angle that isn’t beautiful. It’s a real shame that Aston Martin went and messed it up with the DB11. True it’s not an ugly car when you see it in real life but, it doesn’t stick well in a picture. The top era of Aston is now clearly gone and the dropping sales show it. They should have refined and modernized the technology but, kept the basic shape of this gorgeous car.

I don't consider this a car... I consider this a masterpiece and a testament to British engineering. I have always been a fan of the Aston Martin brand and the thought of owning one of these in Volante trim with a Mariana Blue exterior paint, and a lucious brown interior leather just gives me shivers thinking about it. These cars in my opinion were the pinnacle of Aston Martin engineering. They just don't make them like they use to anymore.

Having said that in our region (Canada) the market has weakened in the past two quarters. This combined with the fact that DBS is passing outside the period that we can add an Aston Martin warranty bring the market down slightly again.

Don’t push the metal, when stamping the clutch! Learn how to shift!

1:41 time your shifts better, you're putting the clutch in before you're fully off the throttle, that's why the engine speed blips up every time you make a gear change under heavy acceleration. Seriously. You sell Aston Martins. Be better at driving.

The only car you need is the car that fits you. Not the car you want to be seen. Too bad this turned into a sales video and not a review. Nice Ontario dealer plate.
