Judging by that frame, it looks like the fuel pump is the least of that truck’s problems! Gotta love the rusty crusties from the north! 😄 Just put one of your midship(side) tank/pump kits in my 95 F-150. My old one was leaking and all the wiring was corroded completely off their connections on the pump! Actually went about as easy as it could for working in a gravel driveway! The biggest issue was researching the wiring. I see the vent hose is actually two sizes, a smaller one fit into a larger one, that rollover valve is 1/4” but the vent hose tee is 3/8”. Good job designers! 🙄
When you were doing this, did you find that when you put the fuel pump assembly in the new gas tank that the fuel pump was not seating perfectly all the way around on the gasket? I bought a brand new fuel pump and sending unit and gas tank. I'm trying to put it all together and I feel like the bottom of the fuel pump is touching the bottom of the gas tank so it's not letting it seat all the way down. It's literally less than a quarter of an inch from seating properly lol. Didn't know if this was common I haven't tried putting the locking ring because I don't know if I should if it doesn't just seat very easily
I'm kinda concerned about you putting (16:45) live wires in your tank... when filled with gasoline, won't that make a connection? The Red and Black... (positive and negative) Just sayin'.

Why were the connectors that you crimped blue, but they were red when you put the unit into the tank?
