- In "The Nun" sister Oana passes away under mysterious circumstances in a Romanian convent. This leads to Father Burke and Sister Irene being sent to the abbey to find out what's really going on. While staying there a few nights, they slowly begin to uncover the convents unholy secret. While risking their lives, they fight the evil force which appears in the form of a demonic nun. In this video we'll look at how you can beat the demonic nun from the conjuring universe and escape the convent alive.

I always thought the last nun who killed herself in the beginning of the movie did so to prevent Valik from possessing her and leaving the convent. I also thought that the nuns/nuns spirits praying was the only thing sort of containing Valik but it wasn't enough to stop him from moving about the convent and doing things inside.
I also was under the impression that he was trying to scare them to reduce their mental state and make it easier to possess them.
I also agree with those statments, I also think all the crosses and maybe years of holy water and blessing outside the castle is what made it need to posses someone in the first place just so it could escape. I think the praying did help because as he says early on they have been living with this demon for years. So years of slowly wearing them down, I truely belive the demon didnt kill any of them but they all took their own lives when they felt that they were close to being ready to be possesed. In this sistusion I belive it would take years for the demon to get enough strength to even do as much as it did. Tho those nuns where super dedicated even in death they stayed to try and contain the evil.

Yeah. That's what it did. It was explained in the movie.

the reason Valak didn't kill Sister Irene was because it wants a host/body to possess... The first two nuns who killed themselves did so to prevent Valak from possessing their bodies, that's why they don't wish to leave the building in fear that Valak could be inhabiting their body & thus spreading its evilness everywhere.

I wanna explain the so often talked scaring bit, in conjuring verse a demon has to haunt and weaken the mind of the prey to possess it, and the possessed must be alive hence the nun took her own life, there was no way out even if she ran. And that's why she keeps scaring the people, also, the other nuns aren't really in danger other than meeting the demon and can't be possessed because they're already dead. Also I think that all the nuns actually killed themselves to avoid posession and weren't killed, unless of course the demon couldn't posess them because of their mental strength probably. The beating up the demon is also like it, if you're not afraid you can harm it. Also getting help would be almost impossible because in conjuring verse you need evidence and a lot more and even after that it'll take weeks or even months for it to be approved but if there is even a slither of hope it's fake it's ignored, so what they did was the best way, but most of the points you make are valid and I agree they're pretty stupid, not that I'm smarter, lol.

How could valek posses thw farmer who had christs blood on his hands literally seconds before the possesion. The movie would have made more sense if the deamon cut of his hand amd in the epilogue you would see him with two hands again or something.
Okay, so, in the first three minutes of this video I can already tell that the writers of the movie didn’t really understand Catholicism. They need the blood of Christ to seal the ghost thing in the basement and the blood is hidden somewhere in the church. Now, the visiting priest would know that at literally every daily mass the blood of Christ is used. It’s not this secret rare thing, it’s used in the religious service that happens every day all over the world.
maybe they meant blood that wasn't converted from wine but the OG blood? (That somehow survived for 2 thousand years)

Valak doesn't kill because valak needs to pray on our fears to posses people its nearly impossible to posses someone with bravery and faith and these character have strong faith too
I believe none of the characters had a chance to leave the church. Valak played everybody on fingers. Let's not forget it had powers too. The main reason why Sister Oana ran so far is that Valak enjoyed too much playing with the victims. Look how many chances it had to kill them, but refused to do that until reached his portal. Is like the duel between Obi-Wan and Qui Gon vs Maul. Qui Gon died, Kenobi fall in the generator and Maul simply toyed with the lightsaber hoping Kenobi would fall. He didn't expect at all to jump and slash him in two. Same as Valak, he didn't expect a trio to cause him problems.
Also, I don't get Irene and Burke didn't do anything if they noticed the cross on Frenchie.

Not that this movie is great but the reason the nun scares people is to weaken them because you can't possess someone strong of faith - and as you can imagine nuns would be pretty resistant. With the constant torment Valak is wearing them down over time until they give in to possession or take their own life to avoid that fate.

Valak himself says that he likes the screams. He enjoys scaring people. In Conjuring 2 he says it through the old mans spirit. Poor grandpa just wanted to go to heaven and see his fam hahaha

Overall quality of your video is phenomenal dude but I really feel like you missed quite a bit.
1.) You're using modern sense to try to understand the older church. Catholic church at that.
2.) If Frenchie had any blood left on his hand as he griped the demons hands he would of repelled it. Seeing as she was unaffected it's safe to assume there was nothing left.
The movie was set in the 50s. The 50s wasn't exactly a thriving time of equal rights. Churches especially would not of put importance on the nuns dwelling. It's likely they did seek aid but we're ignored. What did being their attention was that a nun had committed suicide and that would look unfavorable upon the Catholic church. Therefore they finally sent aid. The movie isn't a 10/10 but I think it was a solid 7/10 some corny nonsense but overall for a movie set in that era it is pretty accurate. (Minus the demon shit)
And as for why they sent a nun in trianing even though she's never been there. Cloystwrs of nuns were known to ignore men due to their vows. Safe to assume she was sent because of something to do with their vows and therefore her presence was needed. The movie should of briefly mentioned it unfortunately didn't. And while the last part is mostly speculation you can see there are many cloysters of nuns that have vows similiar to what i stated. A lot of missed opportunity by the movie but if anything a decent flick when bored.

To answer your question. A demon can not possess anybody by their liking. A demon can only possess the weakest person so thats why the demon scares them. By scaring them they unleash anxiety, bad sleep, no hunger and most importantly they lose their trust and hope for god. Thats when the human is so weak that the demon can easily enter
