You’re welcome 😊I’m so glad it helped you. It is a lot of fun to make. Thanks for watching! 💜
This is such a pretty bowl. It looks so complicated but you make it look so easy!!!! Since you introduced me to his rope in your other videos it's the only rope I now use - love it. Your bowls are my favorites.
It is really surprising how easy this one really is. All you have to do is measure as you go. What BIG results you get. Thank you for your comment and thanks for watching!
This is really beautiful. I love the swirl design and that you iron the leading edge-I don’t like raw edges.
Thank you so much! It is a really pretty design.
I Love how you use a fold on your fabtic so there are no raw edges. I love this wave pattern.. I'm a newbie at this but want to try this wave pattern. Thank you for sharing your method.
You are so welcome! I like the fold method too. It is an extra step, but really adds to the look. Thank you so much for your comment and for watching.
I often wondered how you do the wave. Yes, you make it look so easy. Than you.
I’m so glad it helped! It is so much fun to make them. Thank you for your comment and thanks for watching!

Love this pattern !
Love the felt idea for finishing too! Thank you it’s beautiful!
Could I take the wave all the way up the side?
Thank you so much for your comments! Yes, you definitely could. Looking back on it now I wish I would have done that. Thanks for watching!
thank you for making another wave bowl video and some credit
They are fun to make. Thank you for watching!
i know im the one you designed the wave.
Very pretty - really like this style. I've made some rope bowls, they're a lot of fun, and really like the techniques you've used - well done!
Thank you for that comment! It is so much fun making rope bowls. I love trying new techniques. Thanks for watching!
this is beautiful
Thank you!
Beautiful .. making one now using tencel fabric from a dress I didn’t like and cut into 1/2” strips ..
Thanks! That is a great idea!! I bet it will look great!
@@sweetcountrylivinginmichigan wish I could send you a picture of the one I just finished, but can’t add the picture to you tube … darn …
@@MarieGreger-zg7ut you can send an email to me @ Supoulsen@yahoo.com I would love to see it.
Very cute!! I have made a few rope bowls. I would think cutting fabric on the bias would make it easier to wrap and it wouldn't fray as easily. Definitely going to give this one a try.
Thank you! I love this one too. That is a good idea on cutting it. Thanks for the comment and for watching.
It still frays on some fabric cutting it in the bias
@@sweetcountrylivinginmichigan I love that you fold that 1/4 inch over you never have to worry about it fraying
@sweetcountrylivingin Michigan Can I ask. What size is your fabric you are cutting the strips from in the video
@@robertaelliott2023 Yes, I am cutting them at one and a half inches. I hope you try it. It is a fun one for sure.
🙂🤗🥰
What settings do you use on your machine to keep from bird nesting on the bottom?
When I have this problem I check my bobbin. If that doesn’t fix it, then it is usually my needle. Hope that helps. The setting I’m using is a wide zigzag stitch. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment.
Is your needle between the rope & zigzag picking up rope🤔. Also, I have this machine. What length & width are you using. Beautiful work
I love this machine. I have bought the expensive machines and only had problems with them. This machine is hungry for more. The needle is hitting both ropes. I have it on the widest setting on width and length. Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching.
What size strips do you start with? Love the colors.
They are 1 1/4 inch wide. Thank you!
Great video! Thank you for explaining this. Which Singer machine do you have? It seems SO smooth compared to my machine. Time for an upgrade!
Thank you! I am so glad it helped! I am using a Singer Heavy Duty Machine 4423. I love this machine! It is only $220.00 I believe on Amazon. That is where I bought mine. I have bought a $800.00 dollar machine and only got frustration with it. This machine (Singer) is hungry for more! No joke! I just replaced a zipper out of a pair of heavy blue jeans and it had NO PROBLEM going through it! I love this machine. So, if it quits one day, I am not out that much replacing it. I want to do a video coming up on how to keep it maintained because that is a big part of keeping it in good shape. Thank you so much for your nice comment!
@@sweetcountrylivinginmichigan Thanks! I thought it was the Heavy Duty. They are about $50 more now, even on sale, but that’s not a big deal. My Brother just isn’t great for rope. Thanks for responding. I’ll order it!
@@Myflalifestyle you are going to love it.
Beautiful! You mention how wide the strips are, but not how long. How long are the fabric strips?
They were all random lengths. Just add fabric as needed. Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching!
How much rope did you use and how much fabric for the purple swirl??
Great video. Thanks!
I didn’t measure either the rope or the fabric. Just go until you are happy with it. That is the great part about it. You can make it as big or as little as you want to do it. Thanks for the comment and thank you for watching.
Is there a reason why you don't cut your strips on the bias? I find it makes it easier to wrap the rope.
I have done it both ways. I haven’t really noticed a difference either way. Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching.
As long as you cut your steak on the bias! Lol
@@michynature😂Yes, that is important.
what is the reason you use the back and forth button through the basket?
Sometimes I would miss a spot so that was the easiest way to quickly fix it. Thank you for your question and thank you for watching!
Hi there. Really enjoying the video. Can you tell me what mm the rope is.
I am not sure. I think I show a picture of the rope package at the beginning. Hopefully you will be able to find it there. Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching!
and length
Should you wash your material and rope first?
I never wash it first. Hope that helps! Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching!
You say 1 1/2 inch wide strip but written info in video says 1 1/4 inch wide strip. Please clarify. I'm a beginner and would like to try this.
Yes, I made a mistake there. It is 1 and 1/4 inch. Good luck!
It’s also very helpful when cutting your own strips to cut them on the bias. Much easier to wrap the rope and much less bunching and fraying.
@@lindahorton9488 I may try that, but so far this has worked well for me. Thanks for watching.
Where do u purchase the rope?
I have bought from several different places. Sometimes it is Amazon, and sometimes it is wherever I can find it. I am trying to remember to put a link in my videos that will take you directly to the rope I am using in my videos. Check it out in the description of my videos. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!
what is the width that you cut the fabric?
1 1/4 inch. The length just depends on how big you want the bowl.
where did you get your rope and size Please and thank you!!
I bought the rope at Harbor Freight. It is 1/4 inch wide. Hope that helps. Happy sewing and thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing!! I’ve been wanting to try this!!😊
@@christiestreelman6466 i’m so glad you liked it and that it helped. They are so much fun to make. Thank you for watching! 🥰
I find it a little awkward to be working so close to the needle with the scissors and wrapping, so I wrap quite a bit longer with one strip. Particularly when I know it’s going to take at least one entire strip. I secure the loose ends with a magic clip or close pin to hold it.
That is a good idea. I need to definitely do that. Thanks for watching.
Nice work...finish is neat. Why do you zig zag so much
I like to zigzag a lot to make sure I’m catching both ropes. Thank you for your comment and thanks for watching.
Идея хорошая, но делается все не аккуратно, фу.
Are those your hands? Looks like someone older than you.
They are mine and I’m old. lol
Too confusing 😢😢😢
