Beautiful
Are you hand cutting these out? I'm looking for a pattern to cut my own.
Love this nice job
I’m glad you liked it. It was fun to make. Thanks for watching!
It doesn’t call for corn syrup. No way
Actually it does. 🥂
Great job!
Thank you! It was fun to make.
It appears you wrapped the entire length of the rope before starting to stitch it together. Does the glue hold it all together well enough that you can remove all the clips before starting? I love the way you ended it, it turned out great. I can't wait to try this. Thank you for the great video! :)
I did wrap all of it first. It stays together perfectly! I remove the clips as soon as it is dry. Thank you for your nice comment and for watching!
Love it thank you 😊
Thank you 😊
Thank you! I love the oval look. Cant wait to make one
I'm so glad you liked it! Thank you for watching!
Good idea ❤
Thanks 😊
How long are the strips?
I don’t have time to re-watch it, but I think it was 12”.

You are so clever and creative. Loved watching you make this cute bowl!❤ Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for your kind words! I really enjoy making these rope bowls. It is so much fun. Thanks for watching! ❤️
🤩😍
Cute bowls
Thank you!
How would you sign your bowls? 20:42
You could add a label.
God bless you and your family ❤ Thank You ❤
Thank you for your kind words! ❤️
Brings back memories of my Mom and how all the kids would stand beside her waiting for the chance to scrape the bowl for a special treat. She never used Karo syrup and always beat the fudge pan while it was resting in a sink cool water to help cool it down faster but everything else is the same. Thanks for the memory 😊
We use to do that too! We would stand around and wait patiently for the delicious fudge to be ready when my mom would make it. I was so glad that I thought of the mixer to help me. It comes together so quick and it is perfect to take to a party or just have it as a holiday treat. Thanks for watching!
Why is corn syrup needed?
My mom always told me it was to make it creamy. It seems to do just that. Thanks for watching!
The hands and the voice don't match. Beautiful wave pattern though, thanks for making this video.
It's a fun technique. I always do a voice over because I’m usually watching TV. Thanks for watching!
Wooooow .. it's very nice video ... beautiful recipe..❤❤❤ merry thanks for nice sharing ❤❤❤❤ merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Thank you for your kind words! Merry Christmas to you too! ❤️🌲❤️
Wow. My favorite so far. What part of Michigan do you live?? I’m just south of Lansing, in Mason. Happy Sewing!
This was such a fun one to do. I live near Kalamazoo. Michigan is a beautiful state. Thank you for watching! Happy Sewing!
I love this quilt and colour 😍💞
Thank you! I really like the colors too.
I started not to watch this; because, I can't have fudge anymore. But, I may need this recipe for an event not planned yet; so, I changed my mind and took notes. Thank you. Merry Christmas.
I am sorry to hear that you can’t have any. This recipe would always make me nervous. I was never successful at it. And then I finally figured out how to do it. It is just so good. I had to share it on my channel and hopefully take the fear out of making it for anyone watching. This would be great to take to a party. Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching! Merry Christmas.
Beautiful. What kind of cord do you use?
Thank you. I use clothesline rope.
I’ve been making natural and wrapped rope bowls , baskets and totes for 12 years and have yet to try the over and under technique. Your videos are pleasant to watch with nice music and not too much chatter and you’re inspiring me to give this a try!
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoy my videos. I hope you love the over and under technique! It really gives the baskets a little something different. Thank you for watching!
Puff quilts are pretty.: but, are they warm to sleep under? Do they lose their shape when stored? Does the batting shift or ball up inside the puffs when washed? Using them to make a cushion or pillow cover may be a better idea. However, a cushion or a pillow will flatten down over use and time.Usually washing and machine drying them will fluff them up again. Your green and white Puff quit is beautiful.
Puff quilts are really pretty! I just love how it puffs up. This is my first time making this type of quilt. I know for sure that each square is going to hold up, because each side has been sewn down. So, the stuffing is going no where. I would really think washing and drying it would puff it back into place. The only thing I see that could go wrong is where I tied it down on each corner. That could come un-done but they are still all sewn together. So you could just re-tie and have that problem fixed in no time. It is a really soft quilt. If you wanted to make it softer you could add batting also. I chose not to do that. Thank you for your questions and thanks for watching!
❤I love it
Thank you! It was fun to make. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful! This might be a really silly question but is the crinkle style effect on the finished quilt just from washing?
Thank you! It is from washing. It really changes the look. Thanks for watching!
I love your quilt. ❤ I'm so glad you made a puff quilt. I knew it would be beautiful. Do you have to tie it down with the embroidery thread before you sew the backing on? Thank you for an easy project. 🙂
Thank you for your very nice comment. I tied all the layers including the back. It was such a fun project. I hope you try it. Thanks for watching!
Cool.
Thanks
Beautiful! How many packages of cord did this take?
Thanks!! I made this a while back, but I believe it was three.
@@sweetcountrylivinginmichigan thank you!
@ You’re welcome
Great idea joining the two ropes as you go. Thank you! I made a bowl where I joined two lengths of rope for the whole bowl before I started and it was very stiff and difficult to work with.
I am so glad it helped you. I have tried it both ways. It was a lot of fun to make. Thanks for watching.
What type of rope do you buy and where do you get it?
I buy it from my local hardware store and Walmart.
Would love to see a full video
ua-cam.com/video/kyxTnHJaAG0/v-deo.html Here it is.
What is your stich length and width? I can never get it right. I just brought a singer love it.
I love my Singer Heavy duty sewing machine. I’m so glad you got one, you won’t be disappointed. My stitch length and width are the longest I have on the machine. It might be your rope. Some of the ropes are soft. If it is soft, you might have better luck with a smaller stitch to hold the rope in place. Good luck!!
@sweetcountrylivinginmichigan thank you for your reply. I will give this ago. ❤️
thank you so much 😊
You're welcome 😊 Thanks for watching!
Impressive! ❤
Thanks so much for watching, I appreciate your kind words!
Very nice. You have great skill
Thanks, I enjoy making things with rope! It is very addictive.
Nossa que lindo Neuza
Thank you
I found several ropes when I click on the link, but not the rope that's shown in the picture. Is that no longer available??
I will go see if I can fix it. Thank you for letting me know about this.
I just re-did it. Hopefully it will work now.
@@sweetcountrylivinginmichigan That link just takes me to an Amazon page. Lots of ropes, but not the one I'm looking for. The one in the picture
@ Try typing in Boho multicolored rope. Hopefully that will work.
This is gold, thank you!
Thanks! It sure helped this jacket. I’m glad it will help you. 😊
Where can we purchase that multi colored rope?
There is a link in the description.
Did sewing that Rope bowl make you dizzy? It made me dizzy just watching you do it. This would be a good way of making a rug to fit in an odd shaped area. I have not seen the braided look rugs sold in department stores in many years. My mother used to make the ones she used in her house from rags. They were never very big; but, they dd the job .
It didn’t, but I can see how it would by watching it go round and round on tv. I was focusing on the needle. I think a rug would be so pretty. Dirt wouldn’t show with all those colors. Thank you for watching and thank you for your comment!
Супер,очень интересно
Как называются такие линейки?
For measuring.
Thank you for sharing your how to video I love your basket. I was wondering what type of thread you are using, cotton or polyester? Thank you
You’re welcome 😊 I always use cotton. Thanks for watching.!
Beautiful colors! I watched your vlog and Missouri Star's then went back to yours. At 6.29, when you matched the snowball square up to the previously sewn point. You needed to lined it up with the outsides being flush (nothing to trim off). Your bear paw tips would end up being 1/4" away from edge. Sewing the blocks together would give you sharp tips. Instead, you lined up the fold line to inside corner tips leaving too much fabric on the outside. Tips are to the edge and when sewn together with other blocks leaves cut off points. If all are done the same way, it will look fine ... just a different kind of pedicure.
I am glad you caught that. I am always learning! It is amazing to see how everyone sees things differently. I will try that next time. Thanks for watching.
Could I use a polyester rope?
I would try it. I love trying all kinds of rope. I would just see how your machine does with it, but if it is ok you should have no problem. Thanks for watching!
Thanks it worked out great!
