Wow, this was really well done and informative - you should have way more likes and views! Thank you for your presentation and your information. As an analog shooter I find all those menus confusing.
Is there a way i can slave the movie settings to photography manual settings? Because when I push the recording button in M mode it will auto the iso and I don't know how to disable that. I would like to be able to immediately record video in the same settings such as iso, shutterspeed and film simulation i was using in manual stills mode.
Very nice detailed and practical explanation. Video settings are also sometimes really tricky to choose because the camera always has its own opinion on exposure. :D Especially the stepping with automatic exposure is annoying. I mostly just work with the 10 stop variables nd filter to set the exposure. no more fighting with the camera. :D
Thanks Dan, do you find that there are white balance shifts from the ND as you go higher in the stops? Would auto white balance be able to compensate for it?
Hi there, so I just purchased this awesome camera that I have for about a week to pair it with my ronin S gimbal, but when its connected to the camera the record button only seems to take pictures but no video, at one point it worked , but don't ask me how I did, it went back to photo mode.... Is it normal to be that hard to connect such a pricey camera and gimbal together, or there is something wrong , or im missing something? apparently it is compatible as I saw on another mans video here on UA-cam , but I can't seem to find the answer on how to resolve the problem, any ideas?
Helo sir.!! on the 2:41 (Shooting mode menu), can it also be done on the pasm dial without having to enter the menu? secondly, does the video mode also have auto iso? which can be set iso min and max
I watched the full video and I would like to thank you for the information you just talk about, I have Fujifilm x-s10 but I can't adjust to *120 frame per second* the maximum 10 60 p from the menu or * 240 p* from the hish speed record. How can I nail the 120 P?
Hey Jay! Great video, thank you! Would you help me with something? I bought the X-S10 for hybrid work and I thought I would be able to record video even on photo mode, which is true, but when I press the record button on photo mode it records AUTO video...The same happens on C1/C2/C4/C4 modes. Is there a way to record manual video without to put the dial in video mode?
Hey thanks for the question, I tried as well and it seems like it can't be changed out of auto. It's more for convenience sake than for complete control. The x-s10 will make sure the shutter speed is at the correct setting and adjust the ISO and aperture to meet the exposure requirements for the scene The only thing that could somewhat help is setting the auto ISO range in your video settings to be a bit tighter so that it needs to rely more on the aperture to get correct exposure, but I understand that is not the most ideal method.
@@JayRegular thank you for replying, Jay! Bad news though.. I’m highly unhappy with some things about the X-S10 but it’s still the best option for my stile of work. Such is life.. Keep up the amazing work! 💪🏽
Yeh I'm still hoping Fujifilm will decide to release some form of firmware update to allow for features like this to be possible, I don't think it's that difficult to implement... Well here's hoping.
Hey Jay! great video! I would like to film a podcast of 45 minutes long. There is no limit if I use my elgato camlink straight to my pc however how can I make sure it doesn’t overheat? Is it possible to use a dummy battery for this camera? What are your thoughts?
I don't think the camera will overheat if you are streaming as you are not actually recording using the camera itself. Using a dummy battery will prevent the camera from running out of juice for streams longer than 1 hour, but if it is a 45 minute stream, a fully charged battery can last long enough
Depends on the wattage of the charger and throughput of the cable. could be anywhere between 1-3 hours. I recommend charging the batteries in a battery charger
I bought xs10 a week ago and I'm facing overheating issues with it even on 1080p recording. Before I start recording the battery was fully charged within 12 min my battery is dead. What can I do now?
make sure you turn offfthe bluetooth or wifi settings on the camera, and also make sure pre-AF is turned off. Also, in the video settings check to see if you have high speed rec turned on. Those are all the settings I can think of that can drain your batteries quickly.
Please help me. I just bought Fujifilm X-S10 but the Carema doesn't record Audio when I do playback after recording. I also tried to send it to my phone and tablet but also no Audio. Does anybody know what happend to my Camera?
Been watching a lot of tutorial videos, but this one is amazing! Very detailed and informative. Thanks for this!

hey jay can you please do a video explaining cinematic setting please when you get a chance

hi my xs10 dont have sound in playback. do you have any solution?
Hi, tell me please which the maximum shutter speed on video on this cam? I mean i would to shoot low shutter video

Are we not able to lower the shutter speed to create those blurry motion videos then? 😢
I don't believe you can do it on this camera

I think 120 FPS is in high speed rec? 5x @ 24fps = 120fps

but when you turn face/eye detection ON, the photometry option doesn't do anything

Check your audio settings? Internal mic should be on auto, external mic off

I've done all of them but no succeed. I don't know what's wrong with it...
When you record, does the audio bar move when you make noise? If it doesn't, take it back to the shop and get it checked
is it just me or theres some black patches visible on the dark/black shadow area in the video (?)
Amazing video ive been looking to get a xs10 but now thinking about x100v also what would you recommend thank you
What will you be using it for? I can't recommend one over the other as they both have their unique features
Enough with the coffee intros!
Took the words out of my mind lmao 😂
dude just get a 10$ capture card, things will be a lot easier!
