      Good overview. I assume the base ISO of 640 for movies is when using F-Log? I take it you can use lower ISO when shooting with film simulations.

      @@koolkutz7 thank you.yes that’s correct 640 for log and lower for eterna etc

    I will try to get it sorted out, but it's not a deal breaker, as the video functions work perfectly. I actually don't shoot much video, almost all nature and some street photography, but want the camera to be working perfectly of course. It still has a half year or so left on its warranty, so all is good. Thanks again, Florian!

    Hello.
    Just watched your video!
    Followed the steps, but When I upload my videos to my phone they are all in slow motion.
    What do I do wrong?
    Im new to this! Thanks in advance!

      Check your frame rates. You might shoot actually slow motion instead of 24/25/5/60 frames

    Hi Florian, thanks for getting back to me so soon. I did what you suggested. In the four pages of "display custom settings" there was nothing that said "audio level". On page 4 "mic level" is checked, but nothing appears on my LCD screen. A deeper dig indeed seems to be called for! Thanks again!
    PS I thought about a total reset, but would rather wait on that!

    • @FlorianFrickel
      @FlorianFrickel  3 роки тому

      Hi Steven. Stupid question but is the camera dial set to movie mode ? If it would be in picture mode audio level won’t show.
      I will have a look at the menu tonight when I’m back home from work. And will have a dig into it and see what sort of option I can come up with

    What do you usually keep the iso when shooting indoors

    • @FlorianFrickel
      @FlorianFrickel  3 місяці тому

      That depends on the format if you use f-log or eterna as an example. Usually on base iso

    Figured it out! When I did my reset, I only reset shooting mode and video mode. Just now also did a reset on the setup, and the mic levels came back!

      Hi Steven
      Thanks, I’m glad it was helpful to you. You probably need to go to the wrench and then to screen/display custom settings and then add the Audio level back onto your display. This should fix the problem if not I’ll dig deeper Into it

    Thanks, Florian. I tried holding the joystick in all four directions and nothing happened. When I held it pressed, it just took me to focus lever options. I tried a reset of both shooting and video, and the mic levels didn't return. I'll try contacting a man who wrote a book about Fujifilm cameras, and if it's not solved then, take it to the dealer where I bought it. Really appreciate your time and help! Steve

    I read that the 24 fps is best in Europe, and that in the US, you should use 29.97 to reduce possibility of 'flickering'. Is this true?

    • @FlorianFrickel
      @FlorianFrickel  Рік тому

      Hey mate. Following the ntsc and pal regulations is normally the opposite Europe 25/50 frames and us 24/60 frames. I personally shoot 24/60/120 fps and didn’t run into many issues mainly when shooting 120fps with bad lighting such as random light bulbs

    • @changein3d
      @changein3d Рік тому

      Hello, the frame rate of the video has nothing to do with flickering, the setting you are looking for is the shutter speed. 🙂 In Europe, we have a 50Hz electrical grid, which means at a shutter speed of 1/50, there should be no flickering. The same applies for all multitudes of 50, so 1/100 or 1/500 etc.
      Now, to produce natural motion blur, the shutter speed should be at least double of the framerate. So a shutter speed of 1/50 is ideal to use with 25fps! Double that for smooth playback and you get 50FPS. These two are the standard european framerates in Europe. Nowadays, your framerate doesn't matter much anymore, so you are basically free to choose between 24,25,30,50,60 and usually you will not run into problems using them. The only important thing is that the shutter speed is at 1/50 or one of it's multiples, to avoid flickering.

    how to change iso to 160 in video mode??

    • @FlorianFrickel
      @FlorianFrickel  3 роки тому

      Hi there works only when shooting eterna / simulations. Make sure your recording settings are set to simulations and not flog/hlg.
      Your DR needs to be set to 100% and then you can turn down the iso to 160

    Hii is that feelworld monitor capable of recording externally?

    • @FlorianFrickel
      @FlorianFrickel  3 роки тому

      Hi mate. No it isn’t. It’s just a monitor. Depends what you trying to record I got a video coming soon which might solves your problem in certain ways. Regarding a alternative to record your screen however it’s not a external monitor for your camera

  • @gaprofitt

    I'm a noob for video, wouldn't you be changing the ISO constantly?

    • @FlorianFrickel
      @FlorianFrickel  3 роки тому

      Not really. The iso reacts similar to photo iso. And depends on how you light the scene or the lighting is you can set the iso and work with it. Also depends on the subject of the subject moves of course you might get shadows on a face or similar. Is similar to photo

    I heard about autofocus of fuji xs10 was suck. is it true?

    • @FlorianFrickel
      @FlorianFrickel  3 роки тому

      Hi there
      I wouldn’t say so no. Perhaps is not the same quality as a Sony camera with eye autofocus or similar. But the autofocus from the xs10 is more then useable in my opinion. I filmed myself many times and had the camera on a tripod and walked towards the camera or away. And I didn’t have issues. Perhaps now and then the autofocus missed but that’s not an issue and barely happened if at all

      I had a look into my xt4 menu which is the same like the xs10 menu. So two things I’d came up with as discuses already the custom display setting mic level needs to be ticked which you said it it’s but it doesn’t show.
      Second if I use the lower key on my keypad I can remove all settings of my display and if I press it again my settings coming back to my display. I think you can do the same whit the joystick on the xs10.
      If this doesn’t work then perhaps a reset needs to be done and hopefully this will fix it and bring the mic level back onto the display if not then I don’t know and perhaps worth contacting fujifilm. Or perhaps see if you can do a software update perhaps this might fix this problem too.
      I’m afraid I’m not more of a help right now
