Cirila: Blender Sculpting Timelapse. Dyntopo
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 вер 2024
- Full creation process of the sculpture of my grandmother Cirila. All you can see is made with Blender: Image Capture, sculpting, render (Cycles), even the video I have edited in Blender VSE (I was surprised how well it works). I hope you like it! Happy blending! www.ismaelfuent...
Music: Corey Cerovsek, violin; Paavali Jumppanen, piano. Violin Sonata No. 9 in A Major, "Kreutzer" (Beethoven)
All of these performances were recorded live in the Tapestry Room of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston. The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is pleased to share this concert under a Creative Commons Music Sharing License. For details see gardnermuseum.org
HE DIDNT DELETE THE DEFAULT CUBE. THATS HIS SECRET
LMAO
Dun dun DUN
Raxi haha i get it is that the little animal from the croods
I found this comment in many place
@Z80 I think he just subdivided it?
You have kinda cheated here by having a solid appreciation of the human form, creativity and a mastery of the tools at your disposal. If I had those I could do this.
Thanks CS79N!
Hahaha
Ha ha, nice!
@@IsmaelFuentesArt ZBrush vs Blender?
@@janosik4984 Zbrush is better for sculpting, but Blender is better for all other purposes.
motivating and discouraging at the same time haha
Thanks and sorry @dnplk! Hahaha! ;-)
Indeed. I had the same thoughts. I Should I continue my foray into 3d work or not? But I'd go for the positive, the inspirational value of what I just experienced. It's indescribably amazing! And I used to do this in clay. Wow.
kkkkkk -F
klnpd if it makes you feel better, this took probably hours/days to complete, even if the guy is good :)
Hi may I ask a question. Can you 3d print this ? Is this solid enough ? Or do you need other conversion to use for this to be able to 3d print m
I was impressed at the smiley face
Many thanks Alistral!
how do i delete the cube
Very carefully.
You need to perform the black sacrement exactly at 1:30 pm
@E60 FX You have a pure heart
I don't know
Stand up & do the funky chicken.
And he didn't save once while sculpting #yolo #LivingonTheEdge
Suraj Mehta There is no any cuts
Suraj Mehta There is no any cuts
there's an autosave in blender :P
Badass
@@davidatset9225 I don't think it works when you're within an edit. It can only save once the edits commit (as in, once you enter object mode). He is living on the edge. Although you can save quickly by hitting ctrl-S.
imagine the video would stop at 0:09
This is my version of Momo. XD
That would be trolling!
It's a very even smiley face. I couldn't do it
i feel, it woulda had more views
Thank you! It's very inspiring. And i'm gonna try to make an apple right now.
Thank you! Good luck with the apple! ;-)
@SuperKaz it's been a year when you wrote this, all this time i guess you made something intresting, let me see ...
lol
Still waiting for that apple
Where is the apple?
And you can see what my final product would look like at 0:09

That's how far I last when attempting to do this lol
Thank you very much for your comments!
You are very talented. I am learning the basics yet. Cool.
*thinking about switching to zbrush*
*seen this*
*going back to blender*
Hahaha! I'm glad, thank you!
Im sure Zbrush has a trick or 2 up its sleeve but Blender is getting better by the day.
Also , just found this vid from the same uploader on realistic skin in blender.
ua-cam.com/video/Q8XWklyl0Dc/v-deo.html
;)
@Mariano This is easily doable at the shader level in Blender. Also, The sculptor didn't add skin micro-details. He also wouldn't have done that in ZBrush. He quit working when he felt the work was done.
If you absolutely must have micro-detail in geometry, it's definitely possible in Blender using multi-res. Of course Z-Brush is better for this sort of thing, but in the pipeline, it all becomes a normal/displacement map in the end anyway. If you're just sculpting, again, far better in Blender to just use adaptive subdivision with a painted displacement map.
@Artisan try blender 2.8 with some brushes from the Brush toolkit. 45 euro's voor 200 brushes. and your done.
@@JunkieVirus What's the exact toolkit called? Can't seem to find this.
PIXAR WANTS TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION
thats the good thing
I think he wants the pixar’s location
I honestly thought you meant Cirilla from the Witcher and I was like: hold up
Genial! Bravo! wow!
I almost thought you said Genita- something.
i'm motivating when i watch it. and open the blender
sculpted a potato* :(
i just realize that his sculpt workflow sync with a song :))
Yes, thanks Wilman! ;-)
Yeah!!! That made the video way more enjoyable! Not just an ordinary time lapse! It appreciably got my standards higher - from now on time lapses must sync nicely to the soundtrack!
At least my donut is coming along nicely
There was this one time I almost drew a circle
You must feel like Robert Ford
People: blenders sculpt system is terrible
This guy: *WWE intro*
The care you took in every wrinkle and the way it delicately comes to life really struck me, I thought “this must be someone he loved in real life!”. That was before reading the description;) great work, great music!
Respect +100 for music selection.
And of course the sculpting is outstanding.
First time I ever saw someone use the snake hook for so many things O_o
Also, I think I finally understand why people like the clay strips brush. It's free detail.
Que trabalho maravilhoso e tão cheio de detalhes! Muita perfeição. Parabéns pelo grande talento.
Professional work!!!
Thanks Хан /Khan!
Khan, are you russian?
Nice Im impressed with what is possible with blender I was thinking to buy Zbrush and Maya LT to some personal work but I might just stick with Blender!
why does everything thats made in blender looks like its made from playdoh, no wonder everyone prefers zbrush
Who is "everyone"
Am I the only one who was waiting for Witcher's Cirila?
Maybe you should've looked at the thumbnail
Step 1: delete default cube
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Profit
Things more detailed than my actual face...
I would like to see your workin 2.82 what with the improvements to sculpting tools and remeshing
Wow this is awesome ... Did you use a reference or was it by memory?
What else you want in blender, Blender is just one step away for giving breathe to the model..
Nice man, You made my day
Thanks Mohammad Joorsara!
I am an architect who switched to blender recently , after 2.8 release , you were one of the videos I saw years before and got me thinking of blender , it was hard back then , but now it became really powerful , so you are a hero to have the guts to sculpt on it this period 😎
Your work from the sculpture to the editing to the music!!!!!! God you are a legend.. im subscribing
Bro.... That's AMAZING, I Hope one day be as Good as you...
6:26 - Oooo, symmetry has been turned off. Now it's getting serious!
Damn I wish I could shift+leftclick my skin
how long did it take in real time?
About 8 hours, I think... Thanks venomous
2 years
This program should be great for plastic surgery or even neurosurgery relating to tumors and cancers. The artist could predict local growth or swelling and illustrate the effects on nearby veins and arteries or other brain functions.
With a plausible cause and effect demonstration this could be a very handy tool for a surgeon.
This could be used in cell implant and facial sculpting for a burn victim as well.
It is already for sometime. This brazilian guy is doing a good job www .ciceromoraes . com . br/blog/
@@Auridian Thank you.
Thank you all for your comments!
Excelente trabajo, muy impresionante! Saludos desde Argentina.
Looking at it , one could believe its doable with a bit of training ... But no , he is just really an artist
At the beginning I was thinking. "oh I finally got to the bad side of these blend-lapses". At the end I was ready to sacrafice myself in your name. Amazing work!
I almost shed a tear. Simply remarkable.
I usualy like to do small skips in these kinda videos but.. you chose such a great piece from Beethoven... :D
Thanks Miyhido!
this was awesome to watch. I'd love to see you take that model, and make her young though :) that would be great
hey I'm a beginner sculptor and I'm struggling with facial anatomy, is there any chance you could direct me to some free resources I could use to get myself started?
I study with books and I'm not very put in the free resources, I do not recommend them to you because they usually have errors. I recommend a book that I think is easy to get: Human anatomy for artist. The elements of form. Eliot Goldfinger
there's an online version freely readable (probably it's a bit old, but I think human anatomy didn't change too much in the last few decades ;-) ) here: www.scribd.com/doc/106203113/Eliot-Goldfinger-Human-Anatomy-for-Artists-the-Elements-of-Form
I like to think God used blender to create every single object in the universe
Tbh this video is great to understand and study anatomy
No it's not
Blender is 100 light years behind ZBrush in sculpting
Amazing work... great inspiration to start sculpting!
Thanks Shashank Chaudhary!
Beautiful work! Suggest you make a version where she is young, honouring the fact that we all were young once
Just five words: you have some kick-ass skills
SplixCraft Games that’s six
im a tree kick-ass is one word
Time for the UV unwrap and textures >:(((
Very beautiful work, and very inspiring! I love the texture you are getting naturally with the use of the clay strips, and the way you early on began breaking symmetry! Excellent demonstration and result!
Thank you very much Craig! ;-)
انت بتعرف عربي؟ Can you speak arabic
i just had the best spent 20 minutes of my day. amazing! thank you for sharing!
Franco May Thank you so much for watching! Regards!
Must of the video she looks like Donald Trump.
Amazing video, subscribed in hopes for more. It would be really interesting to see you making a whole body statue. Keep it up!
Thanks Αντώνης Καρβελάς!
The vast knowledge of the human anatomy required for a work like this is mind blowing! The details! Like wtf?!? If I didnt have the video, I would have said that this was a 3D scan. Amazing work!
So um, how do i make my cube turn around??
This is skills...
You interested in charging to do a personal photo
Thanks youngatwista! I don't know if I understand you, I don't speak English. Do you want me to make one with a personal photo of you?
Sorry for my bad English... ;-)
your english is fine...i know it would probably cost a lot to get you to do a personal photo

press R for turning objects(ie rotating).
Actually amazing. If I could make something even look like the shape of a human head I would be impressed with myself, but you go into such detail. Hats off to you :)
Stunning.
Waylight Creations thank you very much!
the most impressive part is that he has done this in blender
Espectacular. Magnífico trabajo.
Muchas gracias ThePaellaBoy!
Dude, you put her in blackface. Not cool.
Beautiful, amazing!! Also I love how you start the sculpting with that Smiley face!
Path thank you very much! We should always start with a smile. :-)
Did you used a graphic tablet? And if yes which model? You're a beast man, the full understanding of facial anatomy is not so easy to achieve but holy fuck, you made it :D
Vincenzo thanks! I use a wacom cintiq 22'
You Have Gained +1 Like(s)!
(Cause of the gr8 choice of music m8)
thanks!
I thought it was some roman emperor for quite a while ngl
I'm very impressed, congrats!
Como creo que hablas español:
Muchas gracias Cesar! Un saludo desde España ;-)
Si jeje, soy español también, es que ya me curo en salud. No hay de que, es un gran trabajo!!
Gran trabajo .Es un artista q Dios te bendiga !Es muy talentoso
Excellent song choice! Loved EVERYTHING abot this vid! The speed and duration is just right, and the sculpt...omg i dont even want to talk about that '-' amazing! Subbed :)
Thank you very much ItsTrue M8!
Beautiful sculpting! Who are playing the Beethoven? A bit fast but it has character.
Ah, I see now on the end. Thanks!
I'm not a blender user, so can somebody explain to me how can he have so much subdivisions without slowing the whole system down?
A _really_ good PC
For how long have you been doing 3d modeling? I wish I could be as good as you.
Several years, but now I spend more time. Thanks AXLplosion
Ismael Fuentes Ok, thanks.
All the music in the world and you chose this piece... I didn't come here because of the music, but heck it sure was a surprise. Kreutzer...
i'd like to see you work on the texture
Thanks Gahmuret!
Blender: nice model but rendering time is 12032130128301 hours, good luck.
Nop, just a few minutes with my GPU! ;-P
6:25 Hey, Bruce Willis
wooooa!!!! that detail!!! so inspiring man... i need to ask for your pc characteristics, what machine are you using for this? congrats AMAZING work...
Thanks Nelson! i7, 32GB Ram, GeForce GTX TITAN Black 😉
Love it ! (nice to hear some classical music on timelapses ^^ )
Thanks Max, I'm glad you like it!
Nearly mistook this as one of Mahler's piece's, I'm impressed and equally just as surprised that its not.. Beautiful..
Very loosely reminiscent of Mahlers Piano Quartet in A minor which is one of my favorites!
Beautiful sculpting to match the music and its highly appreciated
What a fantastic sculpt!
Keep up the Great work, I look forward to seeing more of it :D
Thank you very much Chris, I'll try!!
Wery nice!
As someone who's been sculpting a little bit in Blender I just wanna ask, how good is your computer? I mean mine lags just by drawing a simple line with clay stripes at multiresolution 6 :P
Intel Core i7-4820k CPU 3.70 GHz, 32 GB Ram, Nvidia Fegorce GTX Titan Black 6GB
Ismael Fuentes so pretty fucking good xD
Multiresolution at 6 is gona create so much vertices at start thats why you your PC lag and here he activated dynamic topology
The result looks like President Trump ;-;
Awesome man! You just made my day!!!!
Thanks Aman! ;-)
Retopologizing this must've been hell.
Great work.
thanks trodat07
How much memory do you need to run this program?
why do you have a little face smiling, hide?
Subliminal messages... It also helps me to know who has seen the whole video when asking about smiling faces. hahaha
Oh si, me muero de la risa. ja ja ja
will you tell us the poly count & your computer specs, please?
and by the way you're awesome dude!
Stop tinkering with it! There are 300 more NPC's needed for Fallout 5, get a move on!
Amazing detail, cool video 👌🏼
Sculpting was very good and though I'm a fan of classic music... The specific song you chose I feel made it difficult to sort of relax and enjoy this.
My personal feeling is it's a little bit too fast paced Plus this screeching of the violin doesn't help much.
still aside thank you for posting this.
Thanks for the comment TrollFaceTheMan! I'll keep it in mind for the next videos. ;-)
Keep making them, it was very good :)
TrollFaceTheMan I loved it
no one likes a fan.
solution. mute the video and play something you think suitable in another window.
When it takes effort to install zbrush so you do it in blender instead.
So that's the secret...spending 10000 hours in zbrush and actually learning anatomy...
That's why old people are so slow. Too many polys
thank you for inspiring i am gonna make alien now
You can do that with only a mouse and blender?? Do you need a graphic tablet and the pen ?
You don't need a graphic tablet. But if you know how to paint than it would certainly help. Is really subjective I guess.
How do you feel Blender handles sculpting compared to ZBrush/Sculptris? I'm currently using Sculptris but I hear that importing the model into Blender isn't straight forward. But I also hear that Blender doesn't handle super high poly counts well.
