I have an 8yr old daughter and this game is exactly for her. She had a great time with Kirby Forgotten Land and this one will go down equally well. It is not, however, a game for me. I will instead be spending my time with Mario Wonder. I love Nintendo but there’s a point where you have to concede that not every game is made for you. And I think that’s a really good thing. My daughter loved watching me play Monster Hunter Rise but found it was far too difficult to play herself and got frustrated. So I think there’s got to be a little variety for everyone to enjoy wherever they are at in life
I would have loved to play this game when I was an 8 year old too- the controls seem so accessible for that age, and the story is so perfect. I loved playing as peach in the super Mario advanced remakes- I hope your daughter loves this game!
“Cowgirl peach, don’t google that!” 😂
I have done this. And it is not bad at all !
What is the reference? I didn’t get it. I tried searching it but all I gat was the cowgirl peach from this game.
@@ashishdhingra8034 How best to say this...
You know that thing they say about "tier 15"?
Basically that.
I laughed so hard when he said that 😂
@@theoddronin1DONT GO THERE… NEVER DO TIER 15!!!
I feel like people don’t seem to get that not every game has to be this big challenging masterpiece. Chill, simple games like this can be just as enjoyable for kids and even adults. I know I’ll have a good time with it, the different gameplay styles add a lot of variety and I like that. Bottom line: If I want challenge, I’ll just play DKC Tropical Freeze. But when I wanna just chill and have a good time, I’ll pop in Yoshi’s Crafted World and Princess Peach Showtime.
Agreed sometimes it’s nice to take a break from those games and play these types!
Some of the coolest games, ESPECIALLY from Nintendo are the small ones. With less risk, you can get more strange and creative. An optional hard mode would make me happy though.
I go back to Yoshi’s Crafted World often when I just want 30 min of clear, simple objective. Just wish this game were a little cheaper!
I cannot hear this in anything but Lincolns voice.
agreed. i go back to toads treasure tracker when i’m feeling burned out of big games. sometimes i just need something simple
My kids can't wait for this. I think it will be delightful to play. Not every game needs to max our brains out -- we do that enough in life.
Well said.
It hit a new preorder record on Peach grape
Amen. Way too tired from work to be playing ikaruga and eldin ring every day hahah
I’m okay with it being easy. My daughter and I have started playing video games together and this is perfect
Hope you both end up enjoying this together~! 💕
As for me, I like going through a game that’s just appealing and I can shut my brain off to, so I’ll probably pick this up for the adorable charm alone
Not every game needs to test your skills to the limit, I'm not sure why people seem to think low difficulty is a bad thing.
I'd certainly take it over Balan Wonderworld's (another game with a lot of costumes) "have all the buttons just do the same action even though some costumes don't let you jump" approach.
@@VigilanteLuluBalan's "one button" was a good approach that was lead to an extreme where it made things more complicated than fun. But I'd say it's somewhat similar to Kirby, as you get various powers and a single button does all of their specific actions.
@@henryhunter9643Bc of charging full price. I'm ok with simplicity and low difficulty. Not at $60 though. Unjustified....
I'm mostly buying this game to play with my 3-year-old daughter, so I'm stoked it's very straightforward.
Same. For my 5 year old niece. I just wanted a straight forward adventure for her.
Yeah this looks like a game made for little girls to get them into games and sell (presumably) a future line of Peach toys based on these outfits
Get them Tomb Raider remaster
@@drowninginOr better yet, Last of Us 2. You also play as a girl there, so little girls would love to play it.
I love how hard you tried to say that kids could enjoy this, from the standpoint that you don't have kids. That was a very humorous and delicate
My four year old daughter and I can't wait for this
Nintendo knows how to make charming games down to a science
4:58 I already feel sorry for those few kids who get stuck on a cowgirl Peach level and decide to Google it
Bruh, theres no way Nintendo didn’t make that connection.
Jajajajaja
Surprisingly it's still SFW at this moment.😅
why? I googled it and it's just the game model showing up
Moderate safe search is on by default. You dont really that kinda thing nowadays until you’re actively looking for it. Search blue waffle
So, this is going to be a Yoshi's Crafted World-type experience. Pretty easy overall, but the joy for an older player will be found in enjoying the level design and high polish while exploring every nook and cranny. I'm sold.
it's going to be nothing like that this isn't really a side scroller
I think the point of a video game is about enjoying it and having fun with it, not having stress while you're playing it. I mean, maybe it's easier during the first few levels, and while you're going forward, the difficulty will increase. I really happy with Nintendo for doing justice to Peach. Honestly, she really deserves her own video game series.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land started off worryingly (for me) easy. I felt like I really wasn’t stimulated enough to want to keep playing but the detail and cuteness had me keep going. Boy did it ramp up later on and legit had me sweating on some parts (trying to get 100%). So hopefully this game has some surprises for the full price tag!
Those final bosses in Kirby got way tougher. Then the boss rush mode after was like, "Is this directed toward the same audience?"
The way you describe this rings the same as A Short Hike. That makes me very excited, because games like that give me life!
Based Short Hike enjoyer 😎
Definitely buying this one for my daughter. She always wants the play as Peach in Wonder but she’s just too young.
All we really need yet is a standalone game for Bowser where he can live out his raw (and likely from time to time sweet) personality. I'd gladly play out him having a dream of once more becoming Godzilla-sized stomping about in such a way, or him potentially searching for how to impress Princess Peach to become the hero of the day. Funny hijinks with Junior, possibly loads of his loyal Koopa Troopas, maybe the Koopalings and characters we have not seen in a while (like Kamek or Kammy Koopa). Bowser is such an amusing fellow and pretty much THE most iconic video game baddie and simply deserves his personal year in the spotlight.
I love him so much.
This would be hype
I’ve literally been waiting my entire life for another princess peach game, I don’t care what the gameplay is like, I’m just excited to play as peach
Alex busting out everything peach coloured or peach-themed he could find for this one.
Because it's SHOWTIME, FOLKS!
You can really hear the disappointment in Alex's voice that there isn't a Bowsette transformation
I personally like simple games especially as I’m at the stage in my life where I don’t want my games to be too difficult so Princess Peach will be perfect for me.
I'm a Kirby fan, so really easy, but super charming games are up my alley. Although, like Kirby (and many Nintendo games) it'd be cool if they had a post-game challenge that is legitimately hard.
Nintendo tiers their games in order of difficulty it goes Kirby, Yoshi, Mario, DK. That was the problem with DK for a longtime where it was too hard for many DK fans. They finally addressed it in the re-release of Tropical Freeze.
@@oblivieon1567i'd argue many kirby games are harder than yoshi games, they definitely have more involved combat and do get legitimately hard near the end or postgame where yoshi pretty much stays easy the whole time besides like the original yoshis island
@B0ssguy I'd say Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Story, and Woolly World are harder than almost every Kirby game. There's sections starting in the first world that require precise platforming, which kirby never does.
About a year ago I got a handle on a leak that supposed a rosalina + donkey Kong cross-compatibility game between Switch and Switch 2. Yes, indeed Rosalina, it didn't make any sense to me either BACK THEN.
The idea was based on Donkey Kong arcade and Mario Bros. on NES as being two halves of the same game, that you could move characters between and sort of "visit" each other. Like a bit of a little brother mode but each half of the experiece live out their own life, as their own halves of the same whole.
@@BlueBoboDoo100 I agree with this, even though Yoshi games tend to have a way or two to make them REALLY EASY the default normal difficulty is harder than most Kirby games
And both series can get really hard for optional content too, but I'd say it's overall harder to 100% a Yoshi game than a Kirby game
I’m getting this game for myself because it’s nice to have a simple charming game amongst all the lengthy JRPG that have heavy tones. I wanna shut off my brain sometimes 😂
Highly recommend Arzette and the Jewel of Faramore in that case. 4 hour surprisingly solid love letter to the Zelda CDI games.
I think my young daughters will love it. The yoshi games didn't really land with them but this has the princess and seemingly even easier controls.
Honestly for a game they haven’t been shy to advertise being easy and cutesy, this is best case scenario. I’ve been thinking for a while that this game’s quality hinges on its charm, so this preview is great news
Kids have to start gaming somewhere. My younger kids have played Kirby, Pikmin, Luigi, Yoshi and some of the Mario games and it's great entry into larger and harder games. We're all gamers in our house and it's great that there are accessible games for young kids (and us parents can jump in alongside when it get a bit tricky and help them out)
This game is perfect for me. I loved the demo. Buying it. It’s the 3D Mario I’ve been waiting for
Not a waste of time, but rather of money. I think it should definitely be talked more often by now about how a game like this is listed as a full price title ...
Okay, I think I am sold! Sounds super lovely!
I love Princess Peach and I hope this game is fun! She needs more of her own games
to be fair, if we are saving plays from being tragedies then Classically they can be turned into either Comedies OR Histories (the 3 types of Shakespearian play)
There’s always a market for easy games. Kirby games are largely super easy (outside maybe completion stuff, but that never gets too tough even still), so this being easy is very much okay. Chill games should be respected, not looked down on. Not EVERYTHING needs to be a challenge that’ll make your thumbs bleed.
What I feared. Can’t give Peach a proper game she deserves 😢
maybe this is a way to gauge interest?
I get that this game being really easy is part of the appeal, accessible beginner friendly games are a smart business strategy for Nintendo, easing younger players in.... But gosh this sort of thing just makes me crave a new Donkey Kong game even more, It's just nice to have something cartoony that is also actually challenging.
Cowgirl Peach "don't Google that". SIR.
God no rule 34 😂😂😂😂😂
I’m always down for a chill game I can casually play through and enjoy the sights and sounds
It doesn't get said nearly enough but, thank God for Nintendo. There are so many amazing things that we never would have seen without Nintendo
It absolutely gets said enough. Lol
@@plooper14 no it doesn't
@@kevinbuchanan67 Definitely does
I'm trying to think of gamechanging games / gaming concepts we wouldn't have without Nintendo and all I can think of is... Splatoon?
@@austinsheehan3994 NES changed the world, Gameboy changed the world, and basically every console and handheld generation has added new innovations, large and small.
The Patent filings go further still, with Ninty owning ideas you wouldn't expect.
I'm looking forward to trying it! And hearing the music from Super Princess Peach in the background has made me want to get my DS out and play that again! 😅
I'm very excited about the game, I was a little afraid that it would be very easy but just as long as it's entertaining and has backtracking it's enough.
March here we goo!!
You know, sometimes I need a simple game in my life
Have you tried road rash ?
Definitely getting this for me, I’m a big kid adult guy 😅
I'm so excited for this game, ever since Nintendo revealed it during their last direct. It's so cool that Princess Peach is getting a new game, and how awesome it looks!
Definitely buying this!
That black fluffball ❤
Appreciate the stealth Back to the Future Part II reference - "It's not a baby's game, but you do have to use your hands" 😂
Enjoyed Super Princess Peach-I’ll be checking this one out
Looks so fun! That's all I'm asking for. Instant buy for me! ❤️
I was expecting this to be a very simple easy game but it looks charming so I pre ordered it
Stripped down controls and easy difficulty level sounds perfect for my wife.
This game looks perfect for my nieces! Can’t wait to get it for them!
Well, I wasn’t interested before but now am slightly so… thank you Alex!
Mario RPG and Mario Wonder were also very simple and easy games for a younger audience. Didn't stop them from being very enjoyable!
That's because there are some complex and decent amount of challenge that's added while still being simple to understand. It wasn't all that difficult. Sure. But it didn't need to go hard and it has plenty of moments.
Do not generalise super Mario Bros wonder as being for kids. There are some parts that are quite challenging. There is no way a child could manage the jump jump jump challenge. That’s quite difficult for a child as the one where you have to bounce off those things inside platforms ward, jump off of them does quite difficult for a child to pull Off Too
@@Adamtendo_player_1 This is my point here. You're being unfair.
They played Showtime's first few levels in this preview. If you compare these first few levels to the first levels in Wonder, they should be the same level of challenge.
We don't know if there are optional harder levels in Showtime yet somewhere. It probably at least scales from very easy to intermediate in difficulty toward the end.
Games designed FOR children =/= games that children can enjoy
@@carrillmunnings525 I’m not being on pair. I’m pointing out your ignorance as there is no way a child could finish Super Mario RPG or Super Mario Bros wonder my four-year-old Nice struggles to play Mario versus donkey Kong say that she did help because those games are too advance for her and super Mario Bros wonder and Super Mario RPG are to advance for children, especially Super Mario RPG.
This dude is so adorable.
Anyway, I really want to try this game, but most of all, I want to see my niece and my nephew play it, I'm sure they'd enjoy it a lot!
I don t think that this game looks like a waste of time if anything it looks more like an action game like those segments in paper mario origami king 😊
I wouldn’t play this game myself but yes it’s entertaining to watching you play and glad that you’re enchanted as I do.
I cannot wait to play this with my niece it would be nice to see her happy to finally be able to play with her favorite character n have different transformations and try different stuff that she likes already, i myself am so excited for it haha it satisfied the child in me who so wanted a game like this
So its like a mixture between Crafted World and Luigi's Mansion 3.
hearing about the difficulty being so simple really makes me sad to hear because i was looking forward to SOME justice done to peach games :\ maybe the full game will have difficulty modes or a post game that's somewhat challenging, like kirby's, but if not, then i'll wait for a sale :|
8:04 I really wanna experience the timeline where Princess Peach Show Time would set the world on fire😂
Sounds like I've found my next souls like!
7:03 this right here is quite one of the best Kirby impressions you've done Alex, well done!
Lol
Another gem for my switch oled😁
This game look's really fun and creative,im definily gonna pick it up!
So there is a potential to use this game, along with the movie to trick my neices into playing Mario Bros wonder?!
Sounds like a worthy investment as the "funcle" (fun uncle).
There are other theatre genres than tragedy and comedy, there are more than two 😂 I quite like like the look of this game for evenings when my brain just needs some light distraction
Not really there aren't. Tragedy and Comedy are at the heart of every story. That's why the two masks are the logo of every theatre :)
@@maegnificant mmhmm. I’m an actor, director and playwright with over 30 years experience in theatre, there are many genres in theatre, just as there are many genres in literature. The ‘tragedy/comedy’ interpretation of the drama masks is in fact a superficial one, the true meaning is far more complex and to do with Greek mythology and Greek theatre.
@@twinkle231979 aight, know about the greek stuff, they played theatre there.
We don't have to agree tho.
War ?
I think it's like in the very traditional use of the world simply a matter of it having a happy ending or not.
Like most famously: "the Divine Comedy".
I love Peach so I’m really excited to play this game! It looks fun and gorgeous which is really exciting, but I don’t think full price will be worth it for me at launch. If I can get it for $20 to $30 then I think it’ll be worth a fun play through
Sounds perfect for me. Exactly what I need to mix with Dragon’s Dogma 2.
As Kirby was for Elden Ring.
Im really looking forward too this game
Sounds like the Kirby-fied Peach and that's a good thing for younger kids. My daughter is excited about this game.
Looks good honestly. Peach is my fave Mushroom Kingdom character, and the game seems genuinely fun if a bit simple. I'll definitely get it, but probably later in the year or even next. I'm getting Unicorn Overlord next month, and that is a much, MUCH meatier game. I wont have time for another game that month. I'll probably be playing it into April I imagine.
I am so excited for this 🙈. I dont care thats its easy cause it looks so fun and cute and pretty beautifull in my opinion!! And i hope for Peach sake she needs her shine❤❤ we need more peach games we only had 2😱😱
Love the Back to the Future 2 reference lol
I hope this game is good. Even my mom is interested in playing it.
When he zooms into his face, he’s about to say something funny.
Man, I feel so conflicted with this. This doesn't seem worth the price in a time where I have to be selective, but I want to support a Peach game ....
Support the game on sale🔥
Hyped for this game.
Can't wait for alex his princess peach cosplay
I'm going to love this game. I'm new to gaming, so this should be awesome!
Would you compare it at all to Luigi’s Mansion?
I would have been down for a more traditional platformer like a Super Princess Peach 2 or something, but this just looks like a theme park attraction to me. It's a game I would play once and think "eh, it was fine" and probably never think about again... And that's fine, not every game needs to be made for me. It does sting a bit when it's part of one of my favorite franchises, I would probably be more upset if I was a huge Peach fan, but I'm not, so oh well.
Gonna be a hit with the waifu crowd though.
I have this preordered, interested in playing it as an adult with no kids. Lol
Same!
Seriously seems like Nintendos take on Balan Wonderworld. I just hope this ones actually fun
As an insult comparing this game to Balan wonderworld, this is Nintendo and the creators of that game you’re comparing princess peach Showtime to the quality Showtime oozes.
Awesome! Looks like fun! Hope the full game is just as good =D
This will be perfect for one of my kids who finds some of the Nintendo first party stuff too difficult and gets frustrated
I can't wait to play this with my kids tbh. 5 and 3, they'll love it
I always expected this was going to be easy but it does look fun. I won’t get day 1 but probably soon enough.
It kind of sounds like Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The game overall was pretty easy but I had so much fun with it overall.
This game looks way less interesting even if challenging gameplay isn’t part of the criteria, in Kirby you have different copy abilities and a world to explore, here u seem to stay in one costume per play and are just in the theatre
I can't deny that the doffed cap at Back To The Future part 2 made me smile
oh man, this game is going to sell!!!
No it won’t lmao
I see a lot of commenters comparing this to Yoshi's Crafted World for difficulty, which leads me to question how much they even played of Yoshi's Crafted World. Yoshi's Crafted World is not 'braind-dead dirt easy' like this game seems to be.
You actually need skill in YCW, especially for 100%ing. Sure, YCW is on the easier side as far as platformers go, but not to the degree of this game, even less when going for collectibles which is the best part about platformers, aka a treasure hunt.
Alex with the Back to the Future reference. Never disappoints.
Does anyone know what the money is for in this game did they say
Sounds like a good time. Sounds like a perfect game to get while preparing for Boards.
I'm looking forward to this game. I'm not sure why. But I just want to play it.
Me too. 😊
I probably won't buy this game but more spinoffs and more expansion on Peach as a character are both great things I'd like to see more of.
And imagine if in the next Smash game they change Peach's moveset, or add a whole new _Showtime Peach_ character to the roster.
two things to say
1st: "Theatre NERD!"
2nd: as for "Cowgirl Peach" already googled
I love your enthusiasm 🤭
While watching this, I can’t help but to look at Sonic 06 sitting on your shelf. That immediately jumped out at me. What a gem of a game 😂.
I plan to pick it up. I am nearly 40. Not worried about it being easy; performance problems are a concern, though. Hoping for the best.
I'm glad it is easy because my 4 year old daughter is obsessed with Peach and everything Mario in general. Maybe she can play it a bit.
Nice review! thanks!
Nice review!
