“Whats this life for” will always be my favorite Creed song. It was my introduction to Creed song.
Same
I LOVE the Lyrics.. Gabriel stands and confirms.." I'VE CREATED MY OWN PRISON"
"Torn" and "What If" are bangers...
Torn is my absolute favorite!
I hope they react to these
@jadenruiz1722 me too brutha...
They are finally getting back together! One of the best lead singers in my opinion
Two other Creed Songs you will Absolutely Love
“What If”
“What’s This Life For”
Jay won’t be able to Contain Himself listening to What If
Meaningful Lyrics
Powerhouse Vocals
Amazing Guitars
Powerful Bass Lines
Killer Drums
What’s This Life For will also Blow You Away and I Think Amber will connect with the Lyrics and the way Scott Sings them
25 years later I still can't figure out why Creed got so much crap from the pundits. They put out some great music. It's good to see them getting some love.
All criticism was much deserved.
Why?
@@jimhicks4188Because they were totally derivative of Pearl Jam. Nothing original. At least Alterbridge was original and had a better vocalist
@jimihicks Everyone....or MOST people loved their music. The hate didn't come till they drank their own Kool aid and acted like they were levitating above everyone else. Even other bands that had to tour with them started hating their holier than thou attitudes. Pretty sure Scott Stapp has acknowledged that. The music was always great.
This happens when a mid band gets real popular. Same thing happened to Nickelback.
2 more from Creed's debut record: 1) Torn is the album opener and a certified banger. 2) What's This Life For was another hit that also hits home
Can’t forget One 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Just say the whole album. Because that album is BadAss, front to back.
Illusion
“I’m Eighteen” is another good banger from them.
"My own Prison" has ALWAYS been my favorite CREED song. Creed has always had their own sound and feel. Great reaction you two. I always enjoy watching!
I literally screamed when I got notified!!! This song…. I forget sometimes how much I love Creed and how clever Scott Stapps lyrics are!! ❤❤❤
Scott has a lovely wife.
there is nothing clever about his lyrics---embarrassing.
@@user-uh2ue4bm6wthat's just not accurate at all lol
@@ryanm776 The lyrics are embarrassingly bad. Stapp is a nut-job alcoholic who writes tedious lyrics about a non-existent fake god.
@@user-uh2ue4bm6w your rationale is sound, well said 🫣🤭
This is my favorite song from Creed. And you are right they have their own sound.
Yep, one they quietly acquired from Pearl Jam.
They stole their sound from Pearl Jam, and were 8 years late to the party. Horrible embarrassing lyrics. Nutty druggy-alcoholic singer.
@@bellodradelol. That’s what I thought when Jay said “they have their own sound”. 😂
Nothing but a cheap Pearl Jam rip off. Garbage band.
@@jasonmallin5799 100% Scott Sapp is total phony.
Man! Creed and 3 Doors Down are coming to Corpus Christi TX days before my birthday. Can't wait to go check them out. 🤘
Mark Tremonti is an absolute beast on the guitar. His solo albums would make Jay happy. His Alterbridge stuff is great as well.
Agreed, I have tried to get so many reactors to check out Alter Bridge.
and even if Jay knew of Mark’s solo charity project where he sings like Frank Sinatra
@@davidsanders5788 check out the fable sphere, he’s done every AB song
@@davidsanders5788 they’re really missing out
Alter Bridge are amazing! Movie crossover: lead singer Myles Kennedy was in the movie Rock Star, the one with Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston.
Scott wrote the lyrics, Mark Tremonti (guitar) wrote the music. Incredibly powerful. Scott questions his faith and finds himself having created his own prison in his mind. Lyrically, Scott can write some amazing songs. He pulls you into his world with the stories and his vocals. Mark is an incredible guitarist.
The first time many people, myself included, heard of Creed. I could be wrong, but I think this was their debut single. Great chords, thick bass, Stapp's delivery....they all combined to make them a force to be reckoned with here!
With eyes wide open is my favorite
Amber & Jay, here are some other good Creed songs to react to: "Torn", "What's This Life For?", "What If?", "Ode", and "Pity For A Dime".
What If is a certified banger
First Creed song I ever heard. Still love every song on this album. Definitely a Desert Island Disc. ❤
My Own Prison, the album, does not contain a single bad song. I was 15 when this album was released. Such a coming-of-age album for me. Brings back so many fond memories...
I was just a bit older but loved My Own Prison and liked the rest of the album too. I was eager for something a bit like Pearl Jam and STP, and then Creed came out and gave it to me.
I was 17 or 18. This band significantly influenced me over the years. I love their writing style and how their songs are composed. Even when the guys broke up and then created Alter Bridge, they continued to put out amazing songs to this day. I’m glad they continue to get together and give us some shows here and there. Great band.
Creed is #1 in my book his voice is unbelievable!
Bullets is an amazing Creed song. Probably one of the heaviest songs they ever made! I would love to see your reaction to it!
Have listened to them since before they were even on the radio. They are also awesome live. I've talked to Scott a couple times years ago just before they released "With Arms Wide Open". Good guy.
What If by Creed is a banger
"What If" would be a great song to do next.
But don't watch the official video, it takes away from the song!
Y’all need to check out Scott Stapp’s new song. “If These Walls Could Talk”.
As a Christian this song moves me like no other. If you ever get a chance read up about where Scott Stapp was (mentally and spiritually)when he wrote this.
I find it amazing how I can’t remember what I walked into another room for, but remember this word for word. Haven’t heard it in many years! Love you 2!
Creed has reunited and is currently on tour! I'm going to see them in August and I can't wait! You should check to see if they will be touring near you! ❤❤❤❤
What’s This Life For has gotta be next 🙏🏼
I’d suggest Alter bridge which is basically Creed with a different singer Myles Kennedy
This is possibly my favorite Creed song!! His voice is just so haunting in it!! Thank you for reacting!
Great Song
Great Band
Meaningful Lyrics
Amazing Vocals
Killer Guitars
Powerful Bass Lines
Power Drums Fills
Yay! So glad y'all finally got to react to this one!! Scott Stapp has got one of the most richest baritone voices just like Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam! Just like Pearl Jam, Creed also has some very introspective songs. Glad y'all liked it!
I got to be on the summer of 99 and Beyond Creed cruise. It was so awesome to see Creed back together, people on the cruise loved every second of their performances, during their shows, the whole crowd was singing every word to all their songs, some songs you could just hear Scott Stapp singing over the crowd singing. amazing experience.
More Creed to listen to is "Faceless Man", "Rain". You should also listen to his solo stuff, "Purpose for Pain," "Gone too soon." And Alter Bridge "Blackbird", "Watch over you", and "Open you eyes."
Love your channel, keep it up, music is what joins us all together.
Creed song “Torn” is the one that will knock you socks off vocally and musically a banger. Another really great one is “What If” from the 2nd album
"Faceless man" really shows off Scotts vocals. I highly recommend it.
Faceless Man is one of my favorites
It is a good tune ,but those are studio vocals .
Thank you! So excited you got to this one!
yay! I love Creed so much!!!!
PLEASE check out Alterbridge, which is like Creed x100000. All the band members from Creed, but with the most AMAZING lead singer, Myles Kennedy. He legit has one of the BEST voices out there.
Do Alterbridge- Open Your Eyes as your first song by them.
I wasn't happy that Creed had broken up, but most people could see it coming. After the first time hearing Open Your Eyes, I was content that we'd still have a great band to continue that sound with. Just with a tenor voice instead of a baritone.
Some really deep lyrics that took me a lot of listens to fully grasp. Amazing song.
Deep? ha ha ha...........the lyrics are tedious and phony.
@@user-uh2ue4bm6w How so?
Still can't get over this lovely ladies reaction just watch her face and you'll know it's a good song keep shining queens
So glad you guys finally made it to this one!!!
Creed are amazing!!!!
Love Creed and I get a little giggle every time I see Jordan react to rock because I remember back when he first reacted to AC/DC and said he didn’t like rock and now look at him he has embarrassed it .
This has always been my fav Creed song. The first album had a more Grunge and darker feel than their later stuff, and I love it
Creed will be on their 2024 tour soon. I believe in November they will be in OKC. Kinda in "your neck of the woods". Be great if yall could make that concert!
This is where my Creed journey began with this particular song back in the late 90's and my 8 year old self was immediately hooked. Now at 32 I love everything they did from My own Prison through Human Clay to Weathered
"what if" "torn" and "inside us all" are also bangers
They are on tour this summer. A must see concert if it comes near you
"What If?" Is one of my favorite Creed songs
a special song which is very relevant to me right now- many thanks for this post
This was my gateway song into Creed. However I remember playing this song for a friend and his life wasn't where he wanted it. He had tears in his eyes when the song was done, it made a big impact on his life.
I'm going to see Creed next month! I can't wait. Ya'll should check out Scott's solo work. Especially the new album, and the song Dancing in the Rain. Amazing!
creeds first album is great.
This is their first single and I remember getting a promo cd single from a record store as a means of creating a buzz.
For me this is their greatest moment.
And the song six feet from the edge is deep as well
Torn is my favorite Creed song.
I'd just like to point out this is from the 90s. Jay has come around to the nineties but sometimes he still seems on the fence even though there are so many artists he raves about from the nineties. Just a fun, friendly reminder that this is just one more band he loves from this era. Love your reviews!
I’m telling on my age. It I used to play their songs on drums with a band I was in when they was still touring. It was awesome playing their music
This is my favorite song by creed. It just hits me everytime.
I don’t understand the hate this band gets. You are so right, they do have their own sound. I’ve always liked them.
Have no idea what you’re talking about… what do you mean “hate?”
@@nsasupporter7557 They get Nickleback level hate. Don't act like you don't know.🤣🤣
@@leemires5315 no they don’t, not from what I understand… anyway and if they do it’s not to same extent as Nickleback. why do people always compare Creed with Nickleback?
@@nsasupporter7557 Because despite having a ton of hits/selling lots of albums, Creed got an insane amount of hate. And as Creed was breaking up , Nickelback was getting more popular. They too then got an insane amount of hate despite having a lot of hits and selling a lot of albums.
Going to see Creed in September!! I’m so excited!! Such a great band!
that verse is a powerful verse that defines the entire song
Y'all are the first I've seen to react to this amazing song! Love the content and keep up the hard work!
This song sets you up with the clean vocals/guitars for the first few minutes, then they dump that hard rock style on you which makes it more impactful
This was actually the song I needed to hear tonight thank you so much
I love Creeds music! Powerful messages we can all relate to… music IS the universal language imo ❤
Their summer tour with 3 Doors Down is going to be off the chain...and the hook, too!! 😎🤘💪
Yep can’t wait!
Back in 2000. I went to the Creed/Sevendust concert. 3 Doors Down opened for them. The band that I don't remember playing was, Sevendust.
Man I was such a huge Creed fan from like 13-16. Great music, still listen to them to this day. People who don't like Creed can leave me alone with that ha!
This song made me want to write and perform my own music. To this day still one of my favorite bands. My first introduction to Mark Tremonti as well. One of the greatest rock guitarists of all time.
That song was my first listen of creed and it's still my all time favorite by them.
This was the first Creed song that dropped on the radio.
One of their songs you still haven't done that I really like is "One Last Breath". You might give that a listen.... It is about someone regretting their choices in life.
Thank you for your reactions. ❤
"Who's Got My Back?"
Nothing more needs to be said!
Man, I did not know that Mark sang the chorus! I thought it was an overlay with Scott's "and I said ohhhhhhhh". I have ALWAYS loved this banger.
And can we mention the base guitar in this please? Wow.
Beautiful is another great song by Creed
The Guitar is Mark Tremonti. Who started Altered Bridge. He also did a cover album of Frank Sinatra standards
The True Artist make you feel their music
Their entire first album is perfection , but all their albums are good .
This song is special to me I was idk 12_13 when it came out. It's a very powerful song it was when I first heard it and all of these years later it still is. My own prison is so relatable for someone who has been an addict. Am I fan of the softer stuff not at all but Creed had something special here. It's definitely a song that marks my youth and takes me back to the late 90s.
Glad you guys reviewed this song. It was o big back in the late 90's, the entire bar would sing this song when it came on.
To whom it may concern is definitive Creed!!!
This came out in 97..just after grunge died out. Torn off this album is an amazing song.
Creed is so good. I hope you play more Matchbox Twenty soon! ❤❤❤
My favorite song by Creed! Saw them in Nashville the first time around and going to see them in Charlotte in July!
Are You Ready?! is a MUST DO!!!
My fav Creed song. TY J and Amber ☘️
You say you wanted more Ceeed? You will love "what if" it's really rockin
Alter Bridge - Blackbird…I’m telling you
Most def one of my favorite bands! Will y'all please check out, What If by them? Amazing song and is in my top 5 creed songs.
You need to check out Alter Bridge. It’s Creeds Lead Guitar, Bassist and Drummer with Miles Kennedy fronting them. They were huge over seas and I really like their music.
Great song, great album. Love Creed! I love the track "Pity for a dime" from the same album (wasn't released as a single). "Bullets" , "Freedom Fighter" & "Who's got my back" from the 'Weathered' album are also stand-outs for me!
Creed...What If... Great song..Give a listen.
Wow; I was a senior in high school when this came out! Still sounds great today.
My favorite Creed song!
Loved this reaction!!
"STAND HERE WITH ME" is incredible. You guys should check it out. You two are the best RE-ACTORS. Keep it up
Creed's song Don't Stop Dancing is really good. Scott Stapp went solo for awhile after Creed broke up and was lead singer of band Art of Anarchy
What’s This Life For needs to be next! One of the best tracks off of My Own Prison album.
Cant beat their music
The songs are powerful and strong because Creed is a Christian band. This album turned my life around back in the 90's.
Yes Scott Stapp has an amazing voice. If you all haven't tried Alter Bridge, you should. It's the guys from Creed with a different singer. Myles Kennedy. Marc Tremonti is an awesome guitarist.
Exactly
Not a huge Creed fan but I LOVE this song. Maybe the fact that it's a bit more early 90s grungy vibe is part of it but the lyrics are absolutely phenomenal too
This was the band my Senior year of High School and starting College.
It’s a great song and they’re a great band…but it’s about time you did some Alter Bridge. Truly missing out.
