What a nice location and lovely models. I'm torn between the Sigma 23mm 1.4 and Viltrox 27mm 1.2 for my Sony. The SIgma 56 1.4 has been amazing but the Viltrox seems to have a really nice look.
The Viltrox is lines that has more character and has very similar image quality and auto focused performance to the Sigma but the Sigma is a lot lighter and smaller

Anytime I watch any Fuji related content, I weep because all we need from Fuji is a better autofocus. The colours are so beautiful.

Yeah this is 100% true, I’m planning a video on why camera colour science is a myth!
@@thepirateshoots while true to an extent, the colours you can get in your base raw files can make it quicker/easier to get the result you want

What do you think about the Viltrox 75mm 1.2 compared to the 56 1.7? Beside the huge price gap and difference in length... is the PRO really that much better when it comes to IQ?
I haven’t tried the 75mm f1.2 yet but I image it’s similar to the 27mm.
Yeah like you said it’s longer, so with that and a lower aperture you’re gonna get a lot more subject separation and out of focus background but I think both lenses have great sharpness auto focus great bokeh quality, minimal chromatic aberration etc. Etc.
Fitting title for this vid. Outdoor audio not as crisp as in rest of vid. You make it look easy, as only a pro can do.
BTW, saw where your friend Mitch’s recent “one light” post was covered by an e-mag; kind of exposure that boosts subs/views. Ever chat with him about how you might get similar e-mag coverage? Cheers!
Yeah I found that attaching the mic to the camera sling doesn’t work the best, as it can move past my chest and onto my back ahahah, the voice over is also a big expensive dynamic microphone
I’m not too sure what a e-mag is but I’ve had some requests on instagram but they all seem scammy ahahahah

Great shots! Not a fan of the 18mm, just looks a bit too distorted.
The 18 mm or 28 mm full frame has very little distortion unless you’re doing very close focus distancing wide focal lengths are very unique to portraits

I just shoot in aperture priority with a minimum shutter of 1/200 max ISO of 2500, I shoot In raw and use continuous auto focus in the wide all setting.

Oh thanks, I get my film developed at my local lab, and then scan all my own film at home with my Sony and a macro lens, then conversion is done negative lab pro
