Best one wire video on UA-cam. I dont think mine is ground. I got an acdelco for my 65 chevy van. And still not charging. I thought it was ground through the brackets. But maybe my engine ground needs a cleaning. Wherever that is.
Very good video, I am having charging issues as well on my 63 C10 and I am 99.9% sure it is a bad diode on the alternator. If I have to buy a new alternator, I might as well get this one wire set up and eliminate all the old hacked wires in the charging circuit. I plan to buy and run a Vintage Air conditioner unit and they recommend the upgrade as well.
nice 1st vid. so after you eliminated all the old wires what did you do with those.? an what did it all disconnect an make no longer work? i Also have a 235 1962 c10 with old generator an want to convert to a alternator
Hi John. Thanks for your question What I did with the old wires was i taped them to the side in case i want to use them again, but so far I love the one wire alternator and the genarator light stopped working when we disconnected the old wires. More videos to come with our progress.

No fusible link on power cable to protect against a short inside the alternator. I am worried.
