On a serious note, this issue needs to be addressed. It is funny at first but once its happening on every race it does get annoying.
Car used is the Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205. Filler rain race as 2nd part of the video.

He definely should've been given a penalty at that corner where grandma was on the inside and he turned in anyway, and also at that last corner before the final straight where he kept pushing grandma wide.
So many rats in this game. But there are good lobbies of clean players. Qualify well and you will be away from the shite most of the time
This is why I stick to GT7. Not nearly as many rats & no bs penalties. I enjoyed the career on FM but the game needs some major fixing before I play online.
should have just tailed him until the end, let the penalties win for him. Especially after he showed he planned on racing dirty.

My typical race as a bad driver:
- Qualify mid-field (10th-12th out of 20, or 6th out of 20 if driving the MX5)
- Get rammed in turn 1 of the race, spin out or recover miraculously
- Get rammed in the second turn if first ram recovered. Spin out.
- Continue the race chasing the pack from last or second last position
- Watch a few more competitors explode out of the track ahead of me or get into a brawl that distracts them and gain a few positions
- Get stuck in a smoke screen, drive blind for half a lap or so
- Finish 15th
- Try to start another race "loading please wait' infinite screen or 'failed to update' etc...
- Task manager out of the game
- Relaunch the game
- Check if game forgot my controller settings (50% chance)
- Join a new race

Yup garbage game. I get a good qualifying time, go change my tune a little, back out, get the save tune load screen for 30 muntues, now i have to close the game.
Sounds like me. Yesterday I can`t race for hours.
Training, Quali, than the game crashes before the start. Had that multiple time.
But no worrys! Turn 10 deliver a patch...in a week or so.

😂 Great post, I never bother qualifying anymore, seem to do better coming through the field from the back with less or no penalties, sucks when you qualify 1st place just to get crammed into oblivion, and this has been the case in s class lobbies too, my rating 4600 plus but goes up and down all the time cause of "inshidents" (little leclerc reference there 😉).
Got so annoyed by crammers I started hunting them down and giving it back, within 3 races down from s to e lmao, and the funny thing was, e and d lobbies were pretty clean lmao... Hopefully t10 get all this sorted...

It feels like the game severely punishes any off track infraction even if its caused by unavoidable contact but deliberate shoving is A-okay as long as the vehicle that shoved you doesnt pass you making it possible for people in 2nd to just ram you into tons of penalties resulting in them winning anyways
Yup, i read somewhere that if you are a little off track to let up on the throttle and sometimes it avoids a penalty
8:14 that slight right turn made me proud .. btw that last collision penalty is why i hate the rules :D

@aimlesscrusader_6768 Looks to me like ISAD was totally invisible on their screen because that Golf wasn't affected whatsoever. It was a common glitch on FM7 and unfortunately still seems very prevalent so far

With the car points (always lack of) , the game freezing, the cheaters i feel like this should have had a delay.
If a update doesnt come soon to fix some, im probably gonna uninstall

I absolutely love how you get a 1.40 second penalty for that Norbert bumming you into those last 3 corners.
I don't think i will be able to race online until they do something with this penalty system. i'll lose patience quickly.
This was a problem in previous versions as well. Particularly in replays. But also in live races.
Gosh! That was so close, I loved it! Too bad, the penalties in this game are so harsh and sometimes ridiculous... =_=

its a connectivity/desync issue where the game constantly thinks the offending car is skidding because it cant calculate its exact position.

I've been noticing these smokescreens as I've watching your recent videos.
Pretty sad. Forza has become so toxic the past couple years. Even in FH5 their are blatant things like this but the people get away with it because the developers are their friends.
Perhaps, Forza Horizon series was a huge mistake 😂

Absolutely robbed of that victory, he gets no penalties for contact on you at all in the first race
The particle physics in this game are very impressive indeed! I have never seen a game with better smoke physics than this game.
That's the best part, it's so detailed & real, it makes every other game looks like pile of garbage

Oh the ole smokescreen bug strikes again. This is 4 Forza releases in a row with this same bug. You'd think it would be a thing of the past by now.

That hatchback you were chasing was driving pretty dirty IMO.
If you pulse the throttle a few times after you go off it usually won’t give you a pen cause you haven’t gained an advantage

for everybody talking about the first race, its clear norbert couldnt see grandma. his car wasnt showing any effects of being bumped, and acted as if grandma's car wasnt there, because on his screen it wasnt. blame the game, not the player

IMHO that Norbert race was yours if you had just stayed behind him. He had a massive penalty and you were on his tail the entire time. 3rd place was 7 seconds back. There was no reason to try and get past him and let him ram you
sigh....not the first time playground studios and turn 10 released a product that wasn't "finished". Forza 5 has some serious issues when it first came out.

Man, that move at the end was petty... Not to mention all the other times just before that when you clearly had the line and he just pushed you off track. You made a clean pass at the end, skillful. I hope that GTI driver gets pushed into the wall by fellow rammers / cheats in all of his future races. Don't even have Forza just yet, checking deals on a DD FF wheel before I take that jump but man... Stuff like this just isn't fun.

I was really, really considering this game. But with everything I've read, it seems practically unplayable. Maybe someday it will be worth spending $70-80 on, but i cant justify it now.

In the first race he may have been a dirty driver, but not that dirty driver. There are far worse and infuriating racers online than him. Like actual rammers. And there is that invisible bug, or just simply not seeing the other driver as you drive really close to each other due to whatever bug the game decides to throw at you. Penalty system also sucks...
Watching this just makes me glad I'm good enough not to have to play trash arcade racers.
