S-Class is finally here! Thoughts on the overall speed and pace for S-Class? Is it too fast or just right?

very fast and entertaining to watch
First race was a decent battle, second race the stewards had it in for you. On a side note try practicing without ABS, you will be able to brake much later. Great vids though buddy
@@roberthall5573With a keyboard you only have 100% break pressure. Won't be easy to handle without ABS.
@roberthall5573 In addition to what the person above me said, ABS isn't much of a time loss in this game compared to FM7. Technically a tiny bit slower still but not by a noticeable amount in a race
those penalties on the second race were BRUTAL. Penalty for going off track to avoid getting pinned by that mustang and then a penalty for getting rammed by that porsche was in no way "avoidable contact". Real stewards could only dream of making calls as bad as these.

I genuinely hate it it just ruins the game! You get penalised more for accidentally cutting a corner, instead when you ram somebody into a wall with a pit manoeuver 😂
it shall be adressed, to me its main issue of the game, its needed to keep rammers in line, but it has to work, if you dont press W, you can now simply shortcut offtrack no penalties.. i bet rammers know their ways to lean of you in a corner without penalthy ether...
@@mikecapson1845easy fix would be to just ghost everyone for the first 30 or so seconds while the clusterfuck of congestion sorts itself out. Then, consider offtrack penalties null and void if they occur within a 2-3 seconds after contact from the rear. More heavily punish hard rear contact especially mid corner for the car thats behind as well
Yeah the assignment of penalty time seems totally arbitrary. tbh, I've benefitted from it as much as I've been harmed by it, but it does make it seem like trying to drive safely is kinda useless when someone can come bombing into a curve behind you at like 50mph over the max possible speed for the curve, launch you nearly into the bleachers, and then you get the penalty time. It's like you may as well just ram people in the curves when it's 50-50 who's gonna get assigned the penalty time 🤷♂

The Ferrari F40 & Lotus Esprit were tough competitors in the first race!
The F40 driver was kinda a dick for blocking Grandma's pass at the final lap

Not really Forza shit “drafting system” slowed down the r32. GTR clearly had better pace but bc of Forza system where if u are 2nd,3rd in a fight with first ur technically have “better air” which somehow some way makes ur car seconds faster and how somehow some way you’ll notice first place car seems to lose traction and front wheel control
Its got the right amount of speed. Although, a bit offended with the false penalty system. All in all, a fun race indeed. Especially the high revving R32

They really need to address some of the criticism around the penalty system. I know trying to create a good system is like trying to ice skate uphill because an algorithm will never replace human eyes on this stuff, but just them explaining that they're aware of these issues, how they happen, and what they're doing to improve them would go a long way. Those penalties in the second race were just brutal.
I also think there should be a set of "racing etiquette" training missions around spacing, defensive lines etc. that all players are required to complete successfully before they are allowed online at all.

The backfires on the R35 sound so weird. Like there's somebody sitting back there with a flint rock, or one of those electric lighters, creating the flames.

Whole part of overtaking these two players goes surprisingly smoothly and without any contact. He calmly waits for the right moment and then attacks.

You should try the McLaren F1 grandma, its a whole lot of fun and has crazy launch, accel and top end.

I know we all crap on this game, for many good reasons, but dear lord is it pretty. my stoner brain is just fooled enough to try to tell me that it thinks theyre real. watching a lotus vs a ferarri vs a skyline through those corners made my inner 9 year old's day

not gonna lie the second race felt unfair with all the penalties that was given. most was not valid to be given out the way they did. however beautiful racing and I got to learn how to upgrade and tune to be able to compete like this

It is alrite, but there are better S-Class cars. R35 is just too heavy

ah just sacrificed my S safety rating on the S class open...had to be done :P a red BBLM pushed me off the road...oh well, then i met another person who was really clean from a lap i spent literally besides him (i was 1st but lost the rear which put me back quite a bit >.

Most are running mediums. And there is a risk of the game crashing if I scroll through the cars.

Definitely a bit scruffy at Spa there; well except for that half a second that was completely not your fault and the second car that rammed you off should've gotten at least two seconds themselves...

That second race is the exact reason I quit playing. They HAVE to fix the safety and driver score system. There is no way in hell you should have gotten those penalties you got.

that automatic penalty system is just wrong, a car bumps into you, pushes you off track and you get penalty for “avoidable contact”

I had one race online where this one guy was hitting everyone almost like he was trying to ruin his rating or maybe a little brother got on or something but he kept hitting me and I got penalized for hitting the car in front of me and getting off track, not gonna lie I got mad and on the next big turn I didn’t even hit the brakes I straight up pummeled him from behind and he flew so far off track that he went from second place to last 😂 and I didn’t care one bit about the 4sec penalty or rating at that moment, actually wish I would’ve recorded it😂😂😂

I saw a video claiming that dirty air is reversed in close races. Is this an issue you noticed or is the guy spouting nonsense.
It is a real issue that is currently a hot topic.
I also have races ruined from this mechanic.
@@IsuckAtDrivingI can think of reasons why such a feature exists but it would make more sense in a horizon rather than a motorsport. How likely is it to be removed or made optional
I got caught out by this yesterday, driving an Enzo with aero wings, I took 2nd place and then for the next few corners my car handled really poorly with the car I'd just past about 1second behind. I understeered nearly off and got past by another car, which then understeers off and nearly crashes at the very next corner. Dirty air should negatively effect the car behind in higher speed corners in downforce dominant formula/class not the car in front. I really hope it's a bug and not by design. If it is simply reversed what is strange is that it still occurs in slow or medium speed corners when mechanical grip is more dominant over aero.
That wing on the Lotus Esprit V8 was BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP.

Most things in this game were "built from the ground up" if you know what I mean...
It's more as if FM7's corpse was picked from the ground up, reanimated with more bugs than features, had some content removed and got pushed as a worthwhile +$70 product.
Truly scummy, but hey, next update comes with 200 bug fixes that shouldn't be there in the first place. The +$70 entry free unpaid testers (aka early gamers) should start complaining less. 2-3 years until it leaves the early access state it's currently in.
They could at the very least just add a few more options like gran Turismo has
@@hugehoglilnuts2905 Instead they've inroduced way more bugs instead. After all, this is only the 8th entry in the franchise and "built from the ground up" too, so yeah. Extra wing options is just way too tall of an order...

Time penalty system is trash and needs fixed or removed. Total time penalty is about 3 seconds because you showed up to the race.
The penalty system in the last few videos is absolute jokes. Doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.
