I find this group so amazing! I grew up in the 60's and was a diehard Beatles fan. When they stopped touring and spent the remainder of their time in the studio, they never intended for any of their future music to be played live and hear is a group playing it exactly the same way it was done at Apple records. How does one go about putting together a jigsaw puzzle that large? Only a genius with a passion for Beatles music can do something that difficult! My hats off to them! God Bless!
I think the thing is the technology in the 60s to reproduce those kinds of effects at a suitable volume in a live setting simply wasn't there. Now these kinds of things can be done live
This is by far the best Beatles cover done by this band. Flawless. I'm giving it a 99.5 out of 100. ( Using Julian Lennon as guest vocalist might have popped it up to a full 100 ).
Everything sounds so good here; the horns, in particular. I think the sound quality is better than the original album, which shouldn't be too surprising after 50 years of technological progress. Do the musicians have any projects where they play original music?

That drummer is so annoying. Everyone does their own job just like the record, but not him. What the hell is he doing with that constant hi-hat, playing all those notes all the time? Do your job! Thats the opposite of the essence of Ringos drumming: the absence of sound. Spaces between notes. The space necessary to let the other instruments shine. The absence of sound that makes the drum return sound bigger and more impressive because of the contrast.

Have you heard the Sgt Pepper reissue? It's pretty damned good in terms of sound.
