It's probably been 15 years since I last made ribs. And before, I smoked them on the smoker and the results didn't reflect all the time and effort I put into them... which is probably why I haven't bothered with ribs for so long. But TONIGHT, I followed your method with my "Ninji" and made the best ribs I've had in years! Thank you for making these great videos. I've had a lot of fun following several of the recipes on your channel and my family truly loves everything I've made!
I've never been quite satisfied with the results I've had with my baby back ribs. I used to bake them in foil in the oven and they were good--just not great. But tonight I made your ribs in my new Dreo 4-quart air fryer and I was very pleased. They turned out truly like competition ribs and they've warmed my heart, soul, and belly on this cool San Francisco evening. Thank you very much for sharing your method of cooking the best tasting (and best eating) baby back ribs on the planet.
Best air fryer rib recipe on UA-cam hands down and im a true meat smoker...almost hate i just purchased a new smoker not to long before i discovered your recipe. 😂 I smoke some mean ribs but alot goes into that compared to this simple recipe
Lol lol thanks I just watched your video ran out the house to get a rack of ribs. I have the Air Fryer already. You really are enjoying your ribs now it's my turn,,👍thanks again for presentation.
Made the air fryer ribs tonight and they were wonderful. Came out better than any of the ribs I have cooked in a smoker. This will be a recipe I will make often.
I just got my air fryer last week, I know I'm late to the game but damn this thing is sick! So far I've had ZERO issues. I've made Hot Italian Sausage, Cheeseburgers, Chicken Breast and Chicken Wings. Things I want to try are Steaks, Ribs, Pork Chops and making my own Beef Jerky. Thanks for the videos, I just found your channel and subbing!
Mr. Sanders...I love ribs. You did a fantastic job cooking and seasoning ribs. Also excellent presentation! Finally. I just ordered the Ninja air fryer thanks to you👍I will use it during the winter weather. Thanks again👍I will be a follower..."Happy Thanksgiving" to you & Family
John...!! Just did a rotisserie chicken in the Cosori air fry oven...!! Wwhhoo eee...it was great...!! Best part is you can see everything cook...you have to get one and show us a prime rib on the rotisserie...!!
@@JohnSanders John, I’ve done a few experiments, and the best ribs came out using bake setting 225 degrees for 2 hours. Low and slow works best is my suggestion.

Hey buddy! Love your vids so much!! Its real cookin, and real ingredients that I usually already have in the cabinet. So Ive experimented with spare ribs. The perfect rib in short form, was season, pressure cook for 17 minutes ( I can't remember high or low w the foodi, damn!), cut up individually so every rib gets slathered in sauce. Then air fry to the point the bbq sauce is caramelized, which around 20 to 30 min. Result, nice and tender consistency, juicy, flavor, not fall off the bone, goodness. Fall off the bone is far over done.
I actually have a baby back pressure cooker video which is very similar to that from a while back and it works well also...i have linked it below... thank you for watching!!! ua-cam.com/video/JWIepkIlEFc/v-deo.html
Well, John, my Ninja Foodi still hasn’t arrived so I’m doing these baby backs in my air fryer tonight and I”ll just get St Louis next week for the Foodi! Glad you also had a straight up air fryer method available!
John Sanders Hey, John, I forgot to tell you, I have never made ribs at home before. And I have a hate-hate relationship with my outdoor grill. Battling the wind, plus it’s a gas hookup and the flame never ever gets hot enough, it doesn’t cook evenly, and I’m sick of running in and out. I just finished up the air fryer version (I have a Cosori) and it was FANTASTIC! I used your technique and they came out perfectly! Didn’t expect to be this big a fan. Plus I only had Kansas City style barbecue sauce which is sweeter and I usually prefer a spicier style but I still absolutely loved these things! I see no reason to keep my grill around! Yes I had to make two batches because of limited space but so what. Now, when my Foodi comes, I’m opting for St. Louis style. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to remove the silver skin from the baby backs and I made a massacre out of it. Either that or there just wasn’t a skin on these (previously frozen, God forgive me, Hormel)? Do St. Louis have that skin?
That is really good to hear!!! Thanks for trying the recipe and sharing your results!!! Some butchers and or processors do remove the membrane but not very often... the st Louis style are the same way... thanks again !!!
John Sanders Thanks, John. I’m gonna look to see if we carry Duke’s here in the Tucson area. I’m really happy my first try turned out so well. The St. Louis style, looks like you have to split them because they’re two types, so you remove the skirt first, the cut the two sections apart, then remove the skin?
Thank you John for your video, I have been craving some ribs, have you tried them in the instant pot yet? They look delicious!I enjoy your comparisons. Thank again for sharing your recipe
So glad to have found you! The ninja foodi vs the Instant Pot Deluxe is boggling my mind when making a purchase right now. The removable lid on the IP vs the Foodi’s air fryer non-detachment lid...would a damp cloth easily clean the Food’s attachment? Or is the IP lid easier for cleaning?
They are comparable when it comes to cleaning...i just wipe the guard with a damp cloth and that is about as far as I go... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
I, myself, would choose the IP because it is the most popular and perhaps the most reliable cooker at a lower price. The Ninja is built like a tank, too cumbersome and not cost effective. Since a new gimmick keeps popping up all over the USA, if not in the whole world, most cookers will be "obsolete"in just a year or two. Air Fryers are getting overshadowed by Sous Vide. So, cook the meat (ribs) with sous vide and then air fry them or sear before serving. I no longer use my cooker as an air fryer for complete cooking.
I think you will be impressed... like I say a little different than the green egg... and with no smoke ring... but for thirty minutes and in an air fryer... it's is all that... thanks for watching and let us know what you think!!!
BTW, the minimum cooking meat temperature on porks in the USA is now safe at 145 degrees F. Of course, in this case, there is no need to worry of being under cooked at 165 degrees f. Worry about over cooking pork, they get tough to chew.
I wish there was a way to print out John's exact recipes. He is so verbose and makes so many unnecessary comments that it's hard to follow him. Thus, I'd like to print out the recipe and instructions. But his food does always look scrumptious!
@@JohnSanders Thank you so much for the quick response! I love your show!! I've tried the support page a few times the last couple weeks but no response. 😪
Think these are the best way for ribs. It beat BBQ them . DEEP FRY AND AIR FRY THEM.. Over the years i thought enough thing could beat BBQ RIBS But these 2 ways beat them 👉👉 HANDS DOWN THE BEST WAY TO DO RIBS.. I still like the smoke grill them ITS THE SMOKE FLAVOR THAT THE OTHER 2 WAYS DON'T HAVE. but the time and taste beats it > So far the Hawaiian style ribs ARE THE BEST SO FAR. Going to do Garlic ribs see it that beat it.
I guess it is mainly because I do a lot of testing... but I do think these type ribs cook differently and may need different times etc... but mainly because of my channel and I am constantly trying to improve the finished product... ifeel sure you could follow each recipe for either rib and get similar results...thanks for watching!!!
I do not currently own one of those... but i haven't ruled it out just yet but I do have more air fryers than I need at this time...lol... but... if I got enough request I might consider it... let me know how it does compared to what I post in the ones I have and I will honestly give it some thought... thank you very much for asking this and thank you for watching my video!!!
Uh not wanting to sound bitter, but,,,,,,yea I do want fall off the bone, that's our preference, to us the one like you had is more like the texture of a pork chop, but with more fat in the meat, ok, but not want we want in our ribs not! why not use extra virgin Olive oil instead
You shouldn’t have to flip them the air goes around all the meat 🍖
