Just touching this rock left some black residue on our hands. It is very pretty and has a brilliant shimmer, with some rainbow oil slick patches when light hits on certain points. If you're in Australia, just google fossicking locations for gemstones and you'd be surprised to find that there are a lot of info regarding locations to find gems. Good luck and wish you all the very best. Cheers, Liz
OMG Liz! If that had been me I would had been squealing, but then again, I have not been hounding for gems/minerals before but l love them.
But my question to you is this... when you and Wal go out how far from home do you travel? I watched one of the Pedro vids and you all were gone 6 months. Do you now stay closer to home or do you still have to go on longer trips to find your materials?
Where is this? Do you know of any good spots in KY?
please tell me you kept that beautiful malachite
+Ocean 5hark Sure did. It's sitting happily in my display cabinet. Thanks for watching and commenting. All the best, Liz

Is there jem maps book for Australia?
well the white looking ice there many like that in our place under a tree when u dig it..
What is the tune at the begining of the show ..whats the name of the song
I like rocks I'm not an expect I even bought a book and still dont know the difference of for example if it's a mineral a precious rock, color, etc. I guess it something you have to actually see to learn it. I just pick anything that I like an it's just a simple rock. You have keen eye! 😃
Thanks for watching. Looks like you're on the right track and I hope you get more chance to go on the field to broaden your knowledge. Cheers, Liz
@@LizKreate unfortunately never been in a field, not close for me and it seems other people are not interested so I can do a trip to go there. There places in North Carolina, Colorado in the US far from me. I have watched the series prospectors and other shows and now youtube videos. I would love to have a chance. I just pick rock when I visit rivers and so. That why I found this so fascinating. How people like you just look and say there is one and pick it. Or let's dig here this is a good place because of this and that. I have bought bags of rock for the garden and always look for something. 😃 so that's as far as I been on searching for rocks. Liz have a good day, enjoy your hobbies, rock hunting and succulent garden. Sending you a hug. 🙋♀️
Wow I always wanted to find a crystal but I live in Kentucky and can't find any here
I really want to be geologist when i grow up!
