That's basically why. Roads are well designed and it looks realistic (the curves, the destinations, hierarchy, etc). Also, imperatur's builds are very curated and amazing so it sums up.

In my opinion there are too many roads and infrastructure in proportion to the amount of buildings to be realistic.
But who cares, it's a game where you can express your creativity. And boy is this city some of the finest art I've seen in CS
@@RobertDoornbosF1 I think the abundant of pedestrian pathway in his city which he always build them nicely separated from the road makes the whole city have an illusion of "too much roads" from zoom out view when it's not actually if viewed up close

@@obidean3964 It's why I said roads AND Infrastructure. For a city of 70K there is so much Infrastructure to be realistic.
For example where I live in real life, a "city" of 80K. We have a singular train station/stop. No Metro, maybe 10 bus lines. We don't have a highway until about 1 kilometre out of the city.
Pedestrian and cyclist infrastructure is entirely separated from big roads. Which there are only a handfull off.
As I said, in the end it doesn't really matter if it's realstic or not. The city looks beautifull as it is simply so different.
I once recreated my home town, came to 20K residents. That's a 75% reduction when making 1:1 in CS, simply showing the "unrealisticness" of Cities Skylines.

I personally love how much detail you can put into your cities! Most of my cities are usually grided with the occasional bended road here and there and maybe some light detailing.
I absolutely love this series, and the road infrastructure is amazing, especially as it’s all vanilla!!! I really aspire to build a city like this, and I like the aerial shots at the end. It gives a real sense of scale and reminds me of the placement of the other builds.
How creative one can be hats off man ❤

i liked the laughter after "it is what it is..." sadly it got nearly cut out.
A name for the football club could be ECSV, Evergreen County Sport Verein, like HSV 🙂. Founded as a football club, but also creates possibilities for basketball, hockey and gymnastics.

Keep building them roads, it looks nice and you are not building a city to get 1 million cims in it afterall, you are building for what you think is pretty, and many of us do think it is beautiful as well.
Always nice with some more money exploits, good fun when your parks can earn you 60k+ alone 💵💲
I think that the use of foot paths is a wonderful idea that many builders tend to skip over, or don't put in as many. From above many of the paths in CS can look like roads and make the road infrastructure seem too much, especially on a build like Evergreen county. The Quay's add to that look of roads as well. Ignore those naysayers, this looks fantastic for a vanilla build!!

I am not a big soccer fan but this is an amazing idea to have in a city. Pretty cool to see it.
I think the finale will need a little map of the county showing the names of the component towns-now-districts that form the main city, the satellite villages, and perhaps any little distant town if you get to making those.
Then a little tour of each area!
You can call it Greenham City FC, and if you build another un Stepford, you can call it Stepford United FC.

Reminds it me to Galitstkiy park (park FK Krasnodar) nearby stadiums for training
the test to verify if the infrastructure can handle the traffic is, once the city is finished, to use the traffic manager and remove the despawn, if it remains in good condition, then it will have passed the Biffa-test
Start with despawn off that way i can upgrade infrastructure as areas get more dense i can pretty much guarantee if you suddenly turned on hard mode your infrastructure wont cope especially your cargo train network
I love the Football campus! And idk why people make fun of the overbuilt road system to me it looks normal cause if you dont have roads then the city would look incomplete and the roads are what make the city unique!😌

how do you make the high density housing look same like right side of the screen at 7:25 (for example)? i'd like to make a public housing community in my city for industrial workers but the buildings look different and it ruins the theme i imagined for that district. do you simply whack-em-all until it looks the same or do you do something different in vanilla?

Literally exactly that. Figure out the dimensions of the building you want (2x2, 2x4 etc) and draw out that footprint of the zoning then leave a gap of that size and then do the next one. This will force it to at least be within the size selection you want then wackamole as they grow. Once you get the one you want, mark it historic. Once the first batch grow in zone the rest and repeat. Some of his earlier videos show the procy

Why not use toll roads leading in instead of the national road and parks and all that?
Cool content creator packs but I feel like there is no need to buy them because Cities Skylines 2 is just around the corner
Actually, it will take some time until CS2 will be modded and "DLCed" enough to be playable so buying content in CS1 still makes sense to me

hi sir i wanna ask how you guys do to handle electrical power distribution on the cities i am a ps4 console player and the only way to develop an electricity network on the cities on console y for electric towers is there a dlc who incorpore to the game undergroud electricity distribution capacity ? like water or sewer ones in every video i cant even see even one electric tower on the cities how do you guys do? thanks in advance
Buildings each have a certain radius from within which they can draw power from either a power source or a power line connected to such a power source. If you have a group of buildings where these radii overlap, they will all connect each other with power: you only need power lines to connect buildings that are not close enough to overlap their radii. If you have an entire city whose radii overlap, and the power stations are within at least one building's radii, you won't have to put down any power lines at all.
