Sound quality analysis
Tough because I am usually analyzing earbuds, so I am naturally tougher on this. I will try to explain things neutrally because for a $100 smart speaker, this definitely sounds good!
Sound in a room from different angles
Makes sense to be directional because it will be near an outlet
Longer wavelengths have less issue with diffraction
~120 degree cone with minimal audio difference
Still sounds alright backwards, but just mostly bass (pointing up)
Adapts to room/environment
Decent natural balance
Warm full bass that fills rooms
Bass is on the boomy side and can be slightly muddy at times
Bass is accurate for most, but struggles with some BIG bass songs like Yonkers
Highs sometimes slightly eclipse vocals at higher volumes
Some low level detail may be drowned out, but I suspect that is mostly because I am in a big open room
Overall, I am very happy with the sound quality, especially for the price!

Will the Echo 4th Gen support TuneIn Radio and iHeart Radio? I currently have the Echo Dot 2nd Gen and it supports those.
I think this will be a tough sell now HomePod mini is being released soon at the same price. I have a first generation Echo, but the speaker quality isn’t great, and it’s developed a muffling noise when playing music which is really annoying. I also use Apple Music which doesn’t exactly have the best Echo support. I think the Echo dot is a better buy for most people.
For the alarm you just tap the top to snooze... No button hitting

Everytime I go to the setup and it gets to the wifi part it says that I need to go to the AMAZON wifi but then I connect it and it says that it has no internet access

I have been using conjunctions with all the versions of the echo in my house by saying "&" after each request. E.g. Alexa, turn off the light & turn on the fan & play soft music & turn on the yard lights. Why would they Change it for this model? Is it a limitation of the new chip?
Perhaps there is a setting limiting mine. I will dig deeper and try again
@@MikeOBrienMedia I say it as if it's one sentence. If you pause too long, it thinks your commanded has ended. And you can't say "TURN OFF the kitchen light & bedroom light." The correct way is "TURN OFF the kitchen light & TURN OFF the bedroom light"
There is no Amazon Echo Mini, did you mean the echo dot, or the Apple Homepod Mini?

While you can't remap the action button, you can press it to snooze alarms. The Dot also supports tap to snooze with tapping the speaker with more than one finger, so I assume it goes for the larger one as well. Hopefully they add more action button functionality through a software update!
Hey, something that might interest you. A couple of days ago my Amazon account was closed with no warning for after hours of wasted time they're telling me it's for excessive returns which I think is an error but that's beside the point. When they closed my Amazon account all my Amazon devices that I own for years primarily all my Echo devices stopped working. I lost access to the Amazon Photos and Prime Video which I pay for. So apparently the devices you already own are subject to be disabled by Amazon on your perceived shopping habits! I assume the same applies to all other Amazon devices and services like fire OS tablets, Ring cameras, and probably AWS as well. Just wanted to make other people aware of this because they definitely don't tell you this when you buy your hardware and services.
It's made quite clear that these devices are linked to your Amazon account: therefore if you no longer have an Amazon Account, well I leave you to draw your own conclusions.

Yes! Just tried it. As long as you have an Amazon Music, Apple Music or Spotify account connected to it!

such a shame that its wings are clipped in other regions outside of the us. in my region so many functions are not enabled yet. so it's really an elevated speaker of sort and nothing more.

only the real ones know that the game sphere is the most sophisticated gaming experience in the entire world
1 - It doesn't work as external speaker via 3,5mm aux. It's OUT only!
2 - It does NOT streams free amazon music in most countries outside US, even if you are a Prime member.
3 - You need another device ALWAYS ON (phone/tablet/pc) to play other stream services like UA-cam music, TuneIn, etc. The same happens if you want to play your mp3 collection (forget playing from NAS via wifi or ethernet).
4 - In this case it would be preferable to connect your device directly to decent speakers because the sound of this thing is AWFUL. If you have an amplifier, reciever or active speakers with RCA input, just get a cable.
5 - Your data needs go through the cloud for the smart assistant to work. If wi-fi failures for some reason, say good bye to the smart home and probably will need reconfiguration. There are alternatives not dependent on the cloud or wifi.
Is this version of Alexa eligible to be used with the battery base the reason I'm asking is cuz I want to be able to take my echo wherever I want say I wouldn't take it to the park and play it I was only 30 minutes asking an Amazon representative who isn't any smarter than a five-year-old I had to ask him literally 10 times the same question is a Amazon Echo 4th generation with premium sound smart home hub Echo Alexa work and that's what I was told worked by the representative I spoke to before this guy the only difference in what it said on eBay while I was going to order this Alexa from it said everything that's the guy told me except charcoal the color of it so I want to get the battery base Amazon 4th generation Echo but not the plane 4th generation Echo but like I was told it has to be the echo 4th generation with premium sound smart home hub Alexa Echo can somebody anybody respond to me and help me as quickly as possible cuz I really want to order this thing bad I've already had the return one already so I'm on my own trying to be sure I'm ordering the correct Alexa that will be compatible with the battery base the Amazon battery base? And again the one that I want to order because it's on auction is Echo 4th generation with premium sound smart home hub Alexa that's the specific one that I'm trying to get but I only went to get it if it's the correct one that works with the Amazon battery base?
