Quick question, can you stop the alarm completely without talking to Alexa? Many thanks!
Tapping it on the top snoozes the alarm. Hitting the action button seems to turn it off.

Your question begs a question: if the thing is already making noise to wake you, obviously you’re not gonna wake others by adding in “alexa, stop”…. right? lol

Alarm clock question: if I get up during the snooze time, what is the command to turn off the alarm?
Question: On the Echo Dot (4th Generation Clock) there is an LED Clock on the face of the “ball shaped dot”….. my question….. what do the two LED dots indicate that can light up on the face of the Echo Dot to the right of the displayed time? (Obviously not the colon in the time display, but to the right of the time display). I believe the bottom dot that looks like a period after the time is indicating an alarm is set, but I am looking to know what the dot above it indicates. Does anybody know?
Very helpful review. I don’t have anything but Siri now but need a new alarm clock that will wake me to music not a buzzer. Can I set a recurring alarm to wake me to a certain type of music like classic rock? I have the amazon music included with prime and a lot of music in my ITunes. Can it access both of those?
Thanks! You can say "wake me up to at 7am" or "wake me up to at 9am" and it gets from amazon music. So yes you can pick classic rock or the artist. It gets it from Amazon music, it can tap into a few others as well but I don't believe iTunes is on that list.

Hi I would like to know can this echo dot be used as speaker for computer or TV with Aux 3.5 mm ? Because i have heard, it's only possible for output not for input thx
I don't see an option for the echo dot for input. The echo 4th gen however does have that option, it also sounds much better.
The 3rd gen bounces sound internally. Sounds boxed in compared to the 4h gen. The 4th gen sounds more open and less muted.
It's not bad if you play with the equalizer. I just prefer the regular echo 4th gen, sounds much better.

I like the one with the clock, there is no other difference between the echo dot with a clock and the echo dot. If you want better sound, get the echo (not to be confused by the echo dot). The echo is twice the size of the echo dot but it’s not obvious from the pictures. The echo doesn’t have an option with a clock.

You're welcome! yes you can granted it doesn't always recognize what you're trying to say. For something as clear as play the witcher, that's pretty easy and it works pretty much all the time, but try to ask it to play it a non common title, that's a hit or miss.

Depends on your situation, the fourth gen is definitely better especially the clock version.
can I still use the echo 4 as an alarm even it doesn't have a clock?
Yes, all Alexa assistants have the same functionality with or without a display.
What else can be done with the clock? If I am paying more, I need to make use of it. Can I use it as a timer or a Pomodoro timer?
You can be use it as a timer, also shows you the weather if you ask for it and a few other things like volume level
@@landpet I cancelled plain one and ordered digital clock one, there was the difference of only ₹1000 and the digital clocks usually starts from the range ₹500. So this was a better deal, because this clock (echo dot) is so smart that it would set a time on voice commands.

Yes, you can turn off the clock display completely so it looks just like a regular echo dot. You can also dim it as well.
This would be a great candidate for a schedule routine: have the clock off during the hours you don’t need to be awake, have it turn on during times when you might want to be awake. I ordinarily wake some minutes before my alarm goes off. Imagine simply glancing over and, if there’s no clock display, not caring what time it is - you just roll over and go back to sleep! You don’t have to think “is it 5am, in which case I can roll over - or is it 5:50, in which case the alarm will be going off in five minutes anyway so I might as well get up”??

You need to get an Alexa compatible smart home device and add it in the Alexa app. After that, it's just voice commands.
How do you connect music to your echo? It doesn’t work for me ;-;
Through Bluetooth or it can have access via amazon music by asking it to play something assuming you’re a prime member or have amazon music.

I have Amazon Prime and it lets me play music on it. It's included in that price. If you want more of a music selection, Amazon offers a music subscription.

Yes
